Randy's Pizza

My first impression of Randy's was that the staff was as friendly as a brick wall! I went in the first time for lunch, I ordered some slices, a side of meatballs, waited, got my food, paid for it, and as I'm walking out the door I realized that at NO point did anyone say ANYTHING to me! Not even a "hi" or "thank you"... not even a smile!!!! It was horrible! I mean this literally, not a single word was spoken back to me the entire time! The pizza was nice huge slices but underwhelmingly below average. Meatballs, definitely frozen and not very good. I did go in 2 additional times to give this place a fair shot. I got good service only 1 out of the 3 times but minimal interaction every time. The pizza kind of grew on me. It's not bad pizza, it's just not highly ranked in my opinion

HORRIBLE customer service. If I could rate a zero, I would. After waiting over an hour for my delivery, I called to see why it still hadn't arrived. The lady working the phones said my pizza was sitting they and would be delivered once the driver returned. She offered to give me a refund and get my pizza right to me. FORTY minutes later, I called back wondering where my pizza was. Same lady told me that the driver hadn't come back yet. I asked to talk to the manager. He got on the line and was SO rude. Told me he cancelled my order and I'd have to buy another one. After already offering me a free pizza earlier, he said he wouldn't give me a free one now. There's plenty of other places that will get my business in the future.

I hadn't been to Randy's in years because we didn't live close anymore and found some other good places closer to home. But we were in the area and stopped in the other night. While waiting for our pizzas, I wondered if Randys was really as good as I remembered or if it was just nastalgic. OMG...it is sooo good. It is hands down the best pizza in the triangle!!! We have 2 REALLY good pizza places within 5 minutes of our house...Ones that I would also rate 5 stars. But Randy's is worth the 40 minute drive and we will have to make the trek more often. So so good. Eating in was fine; nothing special, really. But who cares when the pizza is just that good!!!

I ordered a pickup from Randy's over the weekend, and the food was a little disappointing. I ordered and was told 25 minutes to pick up. I was there within 25 minutes, and only had to wait another minute for the rest of my order. The employees were very friendly! However, the food was not up to par. The spaghetti noodles were undercooked, and too firm. The meatballs were good. The garlic knots were luke warm. My pepperoni pizza slice was cold with no warmth to it, and the tomatoes on another slice (luke warm) were raw. $40 later and luckily the side salad tasted good, and the wings were warm and a good size. I only live about 8 minutes from this place, so the food should've been hot when I received it and warm upon returning home. They are supposed to be #1 in the Triangle, but I will probably try another pizza place in the area next time.

Unfortunately I do not have a photo of the Tangy BBQ Wings because I finish them so quick! I am obsessed with those wings. And I love how big the pizza slice is. One of my favorite places I love to go. (I recently uploaded photos to this old review which comes to show I still love this place! This is my go to pizza place and I still order the tangy bbq wings!)
