Reviews Riviera Maya Taqueria

Having worked in Parsippany for almost 5 years, I've kept a close eye on new restaurants. Before Riviera Maya Taqueria opened, I would have to drive to Maddy's in semi-neaby Lake Hiawatha to get good soft tacos. Having tried them here, I can say I'll be back for more! At $2.25 a taco, I can order 3 different fillings and be comfortably satisfied. I've tried pollo asado, shredded chicken, and their in-house ground beef. About combos: They offer a combo for the tacos (and presumably for the other entrees) which is adding rice and beans. I tried it today but aren't such a fan. So unless you absolutely want rice & beans with your meal, I suggest replacing it with another taco or a drink. About the space: They have decent interior seating for groups and individuals. Dining can be take out or eat in and is paid at register.

Fresh food!! They have different options from tacos to burritos and also you can get burrito bowl. The place is cozy. They have traditional Mexican sodas.

The enchiladas were absolutely awesome. The staff was even better! So friendly and willing to explain the different options available. As an earlier reviewer said it's Chipotle style ordering with better food. Definitely coming back.

A great place to get a quick but delicious bite.y mother loves Taqueria especially because they serve Jones soda in the fountain machine! My husband gets the tortas which are always a hit. Everything is customizable and they have about 8 verities of meat so everyone can always find something they like.

Love their food. They have a variety of authentic protein options, way more than your average burrito chain, and the rest of the bar is no less impressive. If you get a fountain soda you also have the option of tamarind tea, horchata (excellent), and a hibiscus tea.

I really enjoyed Riviera Maya! I got 2 tacos, and an order of taquitos. The tacos were delicious. The meat was juicy, and the tortillas were double wrapped as they should be. The taquitos were rolled and fried right in front of me, and the Mexican sour cream was very good! And all for barely 9 dollars.

So good and at a very good price...the cheese is awesome and the staff is so nice and welcoming... They stayed open late just to let me finish my food, there was no hurry or ugly stares. They also care about there quality of there food, they asked for a feedback. This is also the only place I've been too where they have there horchata and Jamaica machine out by the soda machine so that you can get your own refill.

Best Mexican food around! I would take Riviera over Chipotle any day. Guacamole is NOT extra here, and the service is fast and the portions are big. We go on lunch breaks frequently and everyone is always satisfied. Highly recommend!

Food is well prepared and fresh! Fast service for those on the go and after having over half the menu, I don’t think there is a bad dish in the place! My New Mexican food spot!

always good, haven't had a bad meal. I prefer this place over Chipotle. The street tacos are the best. I did not like thier house pork, every other meat was good.

Great place for quick affordable authentic Mexican food. I think there was like 10 types of pork/beef/chicken all of which have been delicious so far. If you like qdoba or chipotle you will love this.

Cheap eats that are freshly made. The horchata is amazing. Charging stations for your mobile device. Buy two items get one free from to 6pm every day. The carnitas street taco with a squirt of lime is my favorite.

It's like a less commercialized and more authentic Chipotle. The food was great, and they ACTUALLY give you a big portion. I'd highly recommend this establishment.

If you are going to compare the restaurant to Chipotle, Moe's or any other Mexican casual dining then you might disappoint yourself due to lack of many branches. The food is far superior here. Full stop.
