Arthur's Tavern is like that warm, welcoming friend who knows just how to make your day. The food is not just delicious; it's a burst of flavors that dance on your taste buds. The pickles and pickled hot peppers bring that extra kick, creating a symphony of spicy goodness.
Picture this: the Arthur's 24oz Delmonico steak, a true superstar on the menu. It's not just a meal; it's an experience of succulence and rich flavor that leaves you wanting more. And let's not forget the seafood combo, a delightful addition to the culinary journey. The garlic bread was also delicious.
One noteworthy aspect is the generous serving sizes. The Arthur’s 24oz Delmonico, a star on the menu, is substantial enough to satisfy the appetites of two people, making it a great choice for sharing.
What sets Arthur's apart is not just the food but the people. The customer service is like a well-choreographed performance, leaving you feeling pampered and appreciated. The staff goes beyond serving; they create an atmosphere where you feel like a cherished guest.
So, if you find yourself in the area craving a fantastic steak dinner, Arthur's Tavern isn't just an option; it's the perfect destination for a cozy, flavorful, and memorable experience.
Shared a meal with old friends. The Delmonico Steak was exceptional. They even cooked it perfectly. The menu has lots to choose from, so don't forget the sides like the creamed spinach. The place is popular, crowded, great service and expect a wait. But sure to please your guests.
Some things never change and at Arthur’s this is a good thing! Fun atmosphere, great service and delicious food at a good value. We had a group of 6 on Saturday night. We had a 30 Minute wait at 6pm. Oscar, our server was helpful, attentive, friendly and full of great suggestions. You can’t go wrong with the 24oz Delmonico Steak. It has great flavor, tender and prepared with a unique salty/spice blend. The home fries are amazing as well. French onion soup is loaded with flavor and melty cheesy goodness. They had several specials and we tried the hot nugget pretzel appetizer— HUGE portion and great value. A great surprise was the seafood combo- grilled salmon, crab cake and shrimp with lemon butter sauce- again huge portion and great value. A must have is the chocolate mousse pie dessert!!! There are seating areas both upstairs and downstairs. There is a long bar to grab a drink while waiting for a table or you can wait outside and you’ll hear your name called over the PA. Downstairs lighting is fun and colorful. There is a free parking lot in the back of building. Lively and loud spot. Highly recommend for family and group dinners.
Good but not great. Steak ordered medium was very rare. Sent back and they got it a little more done but not medium. Had to askfor side dish which had been ordered.
Tried the Delmonco and it was perfectly cooked and delicious! Also have the French an onion soup which was great. Highly recommend Arthur’s for a drink and a meal
Great place to celebrate! Irish coffee! Delmonico steaks! We were just here yesterday for Father’s Day celebration and very happy we did. Post covid, a few things I miss… no longer served. The pickled peppers before your meal and my fav… health salad… or house salad. The cabbage with awesome dressing… if you have been coming to Arthur’s… you know what I am talking about! We finished our meal with strawberry cheesecake and Irish coffee! Delmonico steak is always great!
I've been going here for years. It's a great spot for a steak a good price. French onion soup is the best appetizer. And don't forget to add sautéed onions and grilled shrimp to your steak.
Absolutely enjoyed our dinner last night at Arthur's. Had the French onion soup, Delmonico steak with Arthur's potatoes and broccoli. The food was excellent. I'd go just to get a soup! The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were glad we got the house potatoes and would get them again and the broccoli was a great addition to round out the meal. Note: there are. Lot moree potatos that come with it, the picture only shows half of them as two of us shared. That is the entire 24 oz steak.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, family friendly, and can be on the louder side but that's a true tavern environment.
Plan to go again in the near future.
I don’t leave reviews but feel this is needed. 1) Maria and the rest of the staff here are lovely people, we came in with 3 wild children and they were saints 2) I haven’t been here in maybe 20 years, place is the same (which is great) 3) let’s talk food, steak, amazing, wings best I’ve had literally anywhere, the wedge, def get it and the french onion soup is the best in the biz. Oh and the kids loved the chocolate moose pie, bar pie, hot dog and chick nugs. While the food was amazing, the staff (Maria in particular) all lovely, thanks so much!
A true NJ classic. This place reeks character. If it’s your first time, order the French onion soup, the Delmonico, and the chocolate mouse cake.
I've been there a lot around 2000-2003. I went back there yesterday, and their food just tasted the same as 25 years ago.
First time here recommend by Mark from the barber shop up the road. Authur's has a great atmosphere and really nice staff! Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the drinks were spot on! We definitely will be back, especially now with the warm weather coming and the outdoor patio ready to go.
Went there after work for a few drinks and dinner with the fellas. Our waitress was super friendly. Always coming over to check on us. We ordered drinks. Never had to wait very long to get them. Not to mention Arthur's steaks are out of this world. Everybody enjoyed their evening. They gave us a nice big table in a corner for some privacy because there were a lot of us.
so so so good
lovely attentive bartenders
the most amazing French onion soup
garlic bread is delicious
we ordered a bone-in ribeye, and it was quite yummy. though the people next to us ordered the Delmonico and that's steak looked so much better. so next time!

The pumpkin cheesecake was pretty delicious too! savings with
Great tasting food and fantastic service. The French onion soup was one of the best I’ve had. The steak delmonico was perfectly cooked and tender. The homemade bread pudding was outrageously delicious. Service was top notch in every respect. This is an iconic restaurant that is still family owned.
Nice little spot. First place I ate on the East Coast. Steak was huge and not much fat on it. Juicy and rare just perfect. The potatoes were soft but kept their texture. Great place, wish I could go again.
The food is 5 stars the service 1 star! Our waitress was a very unhappy woman huffing and puffing at us all the time. Stained my friend sweater and acted like it was fine…
Appetizers are huge and delicious so make you choice wisely :)
Drinks are great
Onion soup - yes! Pickles - awesome
Garlic bread - won’t order again.
