This was our first visit to Maria’s, and we were pleasantly surprised ! Definitely will return again!
I ordered the baked ziti (which was a generous portion) $9.95. My husband ordered a pizza so we could have leftovers for home. Their marinara sauce is great. Slightly sweet, which I love! They also have a salad bar- this alone is worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to Morganton!
Oh, and although we arrived too early for the buffet, they do have lunch and dinner buffets. Very impressed with the variety on the bar (they were putting out pizzas etc for the buffet as we were leaving).
Nice experience, nice atmosphere, and a unique setting. Little difficult to find unless you’re familiar with the town. We drove by it twice before seeing the name on the building sign. (See photo)
Pizza is our 'go to' food and Maria's did not disappoint! Feel free to order off the menu but I highly recommend the salad/pizza bar! The food is always fresh with an amazing selection! Don't see your favorite pizza? Don't worry, just ask a member of the incredible staff and they will get it started. The owners are often present and are true representations of "excellent customer service"! The restaurant is on a one way street so parking is available behind and adjacent to the pizzeria! I absolutely recommend visiting!
A great place to eat! Fab food, decent service and a passing sanitation score. The Veggie Wedgie is my favorite. Please note, the photo is NOT the veggie wedgie... it's from Maria's salad bar.
Great food and service! Ashley was our waitress and she was top-notch. She was very nice and friendly and we never wanted for anything the entire time we were there. Definitely try their salad bar and blackened chicken pasta. We were there in between pizza buffet times, but they were putting it out as we were leaving, it all looked fresh and delicious. We can't wait to return when the pizza buffet is open. It has been quite a while since I've eaten here (no specific reason why, I just forget it's even there sometimes), but I won't be making that mistake anymore. Now that I've tried it again and seen how great the food and service is, I will be a regular from here on!
One of our favorite restaurants to eat at. The food is delicious and always fresh. The owners are so friendly and will always come to your table and check on you. The servers are the best. They are always on top of getting you what you need. These people genuinely care not just about doing their job but also being caring, kind, and so personable. When you eat here, you are guaranteed an awesome time.
If you want a taste of some classic Italian cooking with a very homey atmosphere this is the spot for you. The folks here almost feel like friends. Very chill atmosphere and not a chain restaurant vibe. It seems like a family run business, at least it definitely has that vibe and I like it.
This place has the best lasagna I've ever had. I would recommend anyone to come here to eat. I've never had lasagna from a restaurant that taste as good as the lasagna from here. It tastes the same every time which is amazing. And the customer service is the best. And don't forget the garlic bread. Maria is an amazing person. If you haven't ever ate here you are truly missing out.
This place is wonderful. The food is really good the prices are fair and they offer delivery. My wife loves there pizza buffet. I really enjoy there spaghetti and lasagna. The waitress are sometimes not the most friendly but the managers are. If you have any trouble with a delivery order they will make it right. I recommend this place for good Italian food or a good pizza buffet in Burke Co.
Maria's is definitely the best pizza bar that I've been to for a few reasons; first and foremost, the pizza is of good quality. A nice blend between thin and thick crust. Second, the building itself is in a great location and is very clean and bright. Third, the reason that Maria's is such a great place to eat; the staff are obviously wonderful people. They're so polite, respectful, and friendly. I was completely won over by their hospitality.

One of the best in town, clean nice buffet at good price. Owners are very nice and pizza is good. My only issue is delivery, sometimes 1.5 - 2 hours. Often cold or luke warm on arrival. More help? I pay good money for your pizza, and delverey charge. Always good about replacing or discount on next but i just want my food hot
The pizza is great and they do have a gluten free pizza any size you want it. A salad from the salad bar and ever type of pizza from the buffet if you just love pizza period. Dine in, to go, or have delivered it's a great place to try. And I spot where everyone knows each other like a great big family. I definitely will return her soon
It was our first time for takeout thin crust pizza and barbecue chicken wings from here. Both the pizza and wings were great. We'll definitely order from them in the future. The interior was a very pleasant surprise. It was spotless, really nice warm feeling, cute decor and very good looking pizza buffet and salad bar. We'll go to dine inside soon. You can also eat outside at nice looking wrought iron tables and chairs.
Delicious pizzas, both traditional and dessert. The wait staff was amazing and handled our 20+ person party with no issue. Very kid friendly! Perfect for lunch or dinner. Easy access to parking as well.
I liked this place. It's not authentic Italian food but it doesn't pretend to be, and the food is actually good. Most people get the buffet which includes a bar of salads, wide variety of pizzas and a couple options of pasta. There are also sweet pizzas for dessert. The chocolate one is made with decent quality chocolate chips. I recommend it. Totally worth the 9 dlls per person.
