Ladera Grill

After we arrived on time, we were seated and provided with menus. We then spent 26 minutes waiting for service. Patrons who came in after us were attended to before we were finally acknowledged. We addressed this with the server, Alfredo, who checked in with us. . He was apologetic and attentive. The caprese salad was perfect. My scallops were slightly over-cooked, but overall, the dish was delicious. The sea bass was very nice. Alfredo saved the day. We were 4 minutes away from leaving and posting a 1-star review.

The food was so good you must get the truffle mac n cheese, We got that the wedge salad, and the delicious sliders with fries, should have got the waffle fries because those looked so yummy too, also the cowboy steak cooked perfectly and too tender... the atmosphere is beautiful too staff was friendly and attentive. Overall a great night out, thank you!

The food: I really enjoyed my chicken fettuccine alfredo. If you're expecting a heavy, savory, one-dimensional alfredo sauce, then this one might not be for you. If you approach this dish with an open mind, though, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the array of ingredients and flavors. The star of the dish, in my opinion, is the sun dried tomatoes. I was a bit skeptical at first; after all, alfredo is a white sauce. But the tomatoes added none of the sourness and acidity I feared. What they did contribute? Tons of umami, which blended excellently with the dish and added an unexpected depth of flavor. The sauteed onions were a nice addition, too. The service and atmosphere were both good. My entree did come out before my appetizer (bruschetta), but mistakes happen, and my entree was plenty filling even without the appetizer.

This is the second time we've eaten there. I would rate this place 5 stars for the food as it was fantastic. That being said both times our waiters were pretty bad. We had to ask for bread(dinner time). We ordered both our salad and dinner at the same time. Our salad took longer than it should have to arrive. After we finish our salad and plates removed we waited over 20 minutes and no food came. Our waiter came by and asked if we needed anything else as if he thought we had finished our dinner. I said we haven't even received our food yet. He said I'll look into it. He came back 5 minutes later to say our food will be here in a few minutes. Food came and delicious. Plates were removed and we ordered desert. Another 20 plus minutes and he asked if we wanted the check. Again I said we haven't even received our desert. Again he said he would check. Another 20 plus minutes and we we're going to cancel desert then our desert came. Delicious. Foods fantastic but in my experience service is fair at best. By the way both times our waiters were male. Shouldn't make a difference but it just might.

Their menu is amazing, servers are very nice, food is very good, and it's a great atmosphere. I've visited there five or six years ago, and this is my first time back since then. They have not lost their touch at all, even after going through the pandemic. Still a must-visit restaurant in Morgan Hill...they are first class.
