OK, admittedly I’m an East Coast pizza snob. Since I’ve lived in Colorado for 15 years, I’ve been on a quest to find the kind of pizza I grew up with. So far only two places meet the mark with Arte’s up in Loveland and now Papa Bear in Monument. First, let’s talk about the crust. This is PB’s gold. It is cooked perfectly with a crispy bottom and substantial chew. Absolutely delicious. The sauce is perfectly seasoned, not tart, not sweet. The homemade sausage is lean and tasty. And the ricotta is to die for. Mama Freakin’ Mia. I want to mangia this all day. For those who complain about price, the ingredients and quality are worth it. For those who complain about having to preorder if you want to be guaranteed a pie, it’s worth the planning. And while it is not a wait-staffed restaurant, there are several tables inside and out in the courtyard. Let’s support the artistry, because pure and simple, that’s what this place is.
We absolutely LOVED our evening at Papa Bear’s Pizza. We ordered our pizza and drinks, grabbed a game and a booth and played until our pizza was all but crumbs. It was easily one of best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. I was stuffed, but didn’t want to push my plate away because it was so good!
It’s a simple concept - make great food and serve it in a fun, calm, clean environment - and it works! It was perfect!
We chatted with the owners for a bit and they are just GREAT people! The kind of people you just want to hang out with, you know?
All in all, I think you should try it. Twice. Because once just isn’t enough. :-)

We had an amazing pizza made of fresh ingredients, great tasting crust. Nice change from the franchise pizza. We will return for more great pizza.

Best crust in the Springs! Can’t wait to see how they grow. Get in early, they only make 100 doughs a day, so once they’re out, they’re out. We will definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu, and highly recommend it to anyone in the Springs/Monument/Castle Rock area.
A rise above the rest. The crust is fantastic and the 3 pizzas we had prepared were fresh, flavorful and culinary masterpiece pies! Can't wait to come back for more.

Absolutely loved the owners - very sweet and very patient people. We absolutely assumed the place would be packed on opening night and didn’t have a problem with the long wait. Wish this team the best in their endeavors!

This place is amazing. You won't be disappointed with the flavor of the pizza. They use fresh ingredients and everything is made from scratch. With that in mind, good quality food takes time. They just opened so the owners will be making adjustments as they go. They also do not have as much as help as they need due to funds. Be patient with them to get things in order and become more efficient in due time and be able to hire more people. Don't judge too hard as no one is near perfect, especially with just opening. Be smart and call ahead if you do not want to wait. This is the best pizza I have ever eaten. A lot of love and hard work goes into making each individual pizza. They care about quality with each order and wants to please the customer. Come in with open minds and check them out for yourselves!
This place is genuinely one of a kind. Had the San Juan pizza (one which was only around for the week) and the Baby Doe (or dough?) And lost my mind. Within my top 5 favorite pizzas of all time and the facility/concept itself is hands down one of my favorites to ever experience. The crust is crisp but not hard to chew, ingredients can be tasted individually in every bite, and the flavor is there 100%. I'll drive 45 minutes for a pie here sometimes! Oh and the dessert pizza is just ridiculous. Ate a whole one myself once, worth every calorie! My only request is that they put one in my home town so when I travel home I can still have it haha. For now, I'll settle for buying it and driving with it.
Best pizza I ever had. The owners are amazingly nice as well. Everyone complains about the wait time but it's worth the wait. I've never had any issues as they put a disclaimer in the menu to call ahead.

Still one of the best pizza places around and some of the best people who own it. Added added an the pictures I've taken over the last couple years of eating here. They pizza's always look like works of art. Almost a shame to eat them.

This place is phenomenal. We had lived in CO for a few days and decided to try Papa Bear pizza one night. We were not disappointed! The staff (and owner) are SO kind and passionate about making good food from scratch with amazing flavor. The service at the front counter was excellent and truly friendly and warm.
A single pizza was definitely big enough to feed several kids or two adults (For reference, I typically eat an entire pizza myself in one sitting but could not with this one). I was excited to eat the leftovers the following day. It’s a traditional crust with a plethora of fresh toppings and cheeses. If you want greasy, preservative laden pizza (think Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, etc), this is not the place for you. But if you want full flavor, texture and aroma with the traditional cheesy-goodness of your old favorite pizza place - this is the spot! Also, their homemade ranch is incredible. I would buy it by the bottle.
The interior has a moody, modern cabin atmosphere with board games and two TVs if you want to come hang out and enjoy pizza with friends and/or family. They don’t serve you, but it’s an alternative space to hang out that’s new and different than having pizza at home.
The prices were definitely reasonable for the size of pizza and overall taste/quality of the pizza. It’s a great value for what you get!
We’ll definitely be back. If you’re looking for a great place to grab pizza or hang out with friends and family over a meal, don’t hesitate to give Papa Bear a try- you won’t be disappointed!
Best pizza place in Monument by a long shot!! Me and my daughter ate here for the first time over the weekend. We were blown away by how delicious it was and how fresh the ingredients are!! We will definitely be making this our go to pizza spot! Highly recommend. I also learned that the menu changes every week with yummy new options to try!!
DELICIOUS pizza! Fresh ingredients, creative flavors. Pizza Hut does not even come CLOSE 👌 Friendly service. Relaxed, somewhat plain atmosphere (we went on a Sunday night, late) but we appreciated the quiet and being able to let the kids "free range" a bit and the food MORE than made up for it. Highly recommend!

Call in your order after 1 PM Thursday through Sunday, and arrange a pick up time after 4 PM.
You can roll up grab your pizza at the agreed upon time, and and drive off.

The best pizza in Colorado- BY FAR. All fresh ingredients, full of flavor, organic and non-GMO. Family owned and operated and it shows. They out so much love into their food and customers. Who could ask for more? Highly recommend the Baby Doe pizza and ask to add chicken if there’s any left!

What a delightful experience! The pizza was fantastic and the garlic bread was a clear standout. All of the ingredients were extremely high quality, and you could tell. The remodel was nice, but I do think they're still working some things out. I'm excited to see what the summer brings. Charlie was wonderful as well. We'll certainly be back!
