Cutest dining room in Montpelier right now. Downstairs hidden gem. Craft beer, cider, cocktails made from scratch. Local spirits and great selection of whiskey and bourbon. Chef Adam Noe created menu.

On Friday 6/24/16 I had reservations for a party of 6 at 6:30.
We were promptly seated. It became immediately apparent that
our server was very inexperienced. Our drinks arrived 45 minutes
later at 7:15. Entrees arrived at 8:10. All together dinner took 3 hours.
The appetizers and entrees were just okay. Desserts were very good.
We had high expectations and were very disappointed. Service was
absurdly slow. But the worse thing ...... the two of us who ordered the
Arctic Char both got terribly ill and spent the next 36 hours on our knees in front of the toilet. I honestly could not recommend this eatery
to anyone. And would never go back.

For a Culinary Institute I've always felt the service and the food could be a lot better. I've eaten there many times over the years. I've never had a completely satisfactory meal there. I recently eat there for my birthday. The steak I ordered was barely edible the rest of the meal was great.

If you have ever eaten in a hotel/cooking school, you will know that it would be a positive experience. The students are following all the rules to the hilt. The supervisor ensure that service is excellent. And what comes out of the kitchen is superbly cooked and presented. The food is as good as any 5-star restaurant can offer, at a better price. The decor and seating arrangements are beautiful and comfortable too. Give yourself a treat!

This is a true gourmet restaurant-- the cooks are culinary students at NECI-- they put their full energy into making fine delicious food with a classic presentation. The bar downstairs was a great place to visit as well-- good for quiet conversations. Atmosphere was very cozy and wait staff most welcoming. I can't wait to return...

Food is locally sourced, inventive and interesting. Drink and food menus change seasonally, presentation as well as quality is consistently good. Ability to discuss the food preparation with the chef that prepared it and learn what their thought processes were is a real treat and the students are happy to chat with the customers about their work.
Note: This is a working classroom, both for kitchen and service, so a misfire occasionally does happen. The black shirt wait staff are the experienced pros and will fix any issue as soon as it is brought to their attention.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in recent memory. Ordered the duck breast which came out rare and room temp with giant gobs of unrendered fat on each slice. Was served with undercooked baby potatoes and cold cauliflower with hot sauce on it and three slices of poached pear laid over the top. My server asked how it was and I said "bizarre, but I guess I'll try to get through it" and she replied "good, at least you can get through it" and quickly left.

Great burger but served with frozen fries. Not to knowlegeable about drinks. And the chicken dinner was average. However great ambiance and the staff was very attentive. Won't mind going again when back in town.
