Young's Bar-b-que

This is a local favorite, but for good reason. If you want genuine country cookin' this is the place to go. The food here is excellent, and the staff if friendly. They admittedly don't have a wide variety to choose from, but what they do have is some of the best food in the area. If you're passing through on the main highway uptown, it's worth the out of the way drive to go check this place out. They have more than BBQ as well. Typically fried chicken and fried pork chops, and then a daily special. The close at 2:00pm, so keep that in mind.

This was a great little mom and pop place. They offer a barbecue buffet with a menu option. I opted for the buffet which included lots of comfort food including pulled meats, pork chops, and fried chicken. The food was great and the price was fair. Very friendly atmosphere. Would for sure come back here.

Been here twice in a month. You cant get a more homecooked meal anywhere in this county or the next. Bananas Fosters is delicious. Home made BBQ sauce you put on yourself is outstanding. Reminiscent of eastern Carolinas vinegar based but not as sour and pork is juicy not dry rubbed mistake you find over there in Andy Griffiths neighborhood.
