The Exchange Bar

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. The wait staff were slow and inattentive to several tables other than ours. 45 minutes after placing drink orders. Did not realize the time it took for at least two waters. We along with the table beside us walked out. The amount of money we were to spend there may not matter to them but I will tell anyone who will listen to go elsewhere.

The exchange has excellent food and great music but tonight the service was extremely slow due to the fact that there were only two servers and they just couldn't handle the amount of people there. Also the outside bar was not open because there was no one to work the bar. The food was outstanding. Pimento cheese with warm naan bread and collard green dip for appetizers and NY strips and a large Caesar salad. Bless her heart, she done the best she could but the caliber of the Renaissance let me down because they need to get some help in the bar. The band was great.

I like this place....Montgomery is my home town and things have really changed a bit for the better in this area of town. The exchange was a bit pricey, but great. My guy and I stopped for appetizers and drinks, we ordered the fried green tomatoes and I was pleasantly surprised with the presentation, all very good. We also order mozzarella stick which were huge and hard- I'm not a fan of those. The drinks were good, we order top shelf margaritas which had to have been $15 a piece... they were good and really put me in my happy place. Being seated on the patio was a great idea, but it was pretty dark out so we couldn't see, it would have been nice to have some type of lighting on the tables... maybe a candle or something. All and All, definitely a nice place to grab a drink or a quick bite.
