From the look we weren't sure about this place. Looks can be deceiving. The only fault is an aged interior that was very small. The staff were very polite and pleasent. We both had the country fried steak dinners. I had mine with brown gravy..he had his with country gravy. It was actually the best we've had in a long time. It was an unbelievably large portion of fork tender steak and potatoes. Came with soup or salad, dinner rolls, half a corn on the cob and mashed potatoes and gravy. We also ordered one soda. It was around $48 for two people with a tip. Good little place to stop. I would recommend it if you are more about flavor and friendliness then looks. We will stop here again on our way to the beach. They easily accommodated our drop in group of 10. I ordered the fish and chips (substituted a salad for the chips) and it was the best ever. The fish tasted so fresh and flaked beautifully. For being a side salad, it was plentiful with generous toppings. The others who ordered fish and chips made the same comments on how perfectly cooked everything was. Others ordered the chicken fried chicken with homemade mashed potatoes and were very happy. We all enjoyed our meals without a single complaint from anyone. Good service too! Family friendly, spotlessly clean, reasonably priced, and great food!

We had breakfast. Late in the day about noon. On our travels back from beach.i wanted good food not fast food we stopped just because I remembered it from my childhood.it was great . The waitress was exceptional. Eggs were perfect.its hard to get a great breakfast any more so I was very happy to see my eggs just the way I like them.one more thing they have a great waitress there nice efficient n very helpful to us.i will go back. When the New owner took over, she had to do alot of remodeling and bringing the building up to code. So after she reopened she was charging people through the roof for simple American food. Totally not worth its price for what you get in food. Also its closed and had been closed since the beginning of covid Feburary 2020.

We ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich. I like all my meat well done, burnt, crispified. Trying to convey that to the waitress, in hopes she emphasizes CHARRED to the cook, is quite a challenge. The service here is always friendly. The food is okay. If I could get it exactly how I order it, that would be so great.
