A group of us were traveling up highway 1 in on vacation. We were looking for a place to eat in Monterey and this place popped up so we decided to give it a shot. When we arrived the place looked beautiful and we just hoped the food would live up to the ambiance. We decided to sit in the bar area to enjoy happy hour and some appetizers before we committed to diner. We got the tacos and calamari and quickly decided we had to stay for dinner! They were pretty busy but that staff was great and able to fit us into a table by the window. Being able to see the ocean while you are eating was amazing and seeing the sunset during dinner was very picturesque. Our group decided to get 4 appetizers and 4 entrees to share and all of them were out of this world. Between the spectacular views, delicious food and friendly staff we are considering coming back to Monterey just to eat here!
Had a table for one in the patio. There's a beautiful view of the ocean and there was a guitarist outside with a beautiful voice. I ordered the ravioli as my entre and got a toffee coffee ice cream for dessert; both were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I'm definitely coming back. Great service! ....Management and workers, thank you for a wonderful experience!
We were quite impressed. We arrived early for our reservation and they sat us by the window with excellent view of the bay, staff was great, music was good. I ordered Hawaiian Swordfish and omg the best I’ve ever had, my husband ordered Salmon delicious, our guest ordered Sea Bass and they said the best. Overall great place and will be back soon.
I'm a Monterey local, and the C is definitely one of my favorite go-to spots. The food is always delicious, and the views are amazing. Free valet parking if you dine there makes everything that much easier. Can't recommend this place enough!
Everything thing was excellent from the cocktails through dessert! And they have my favorite ginger beer - Regatta. Highly recommend for a delicious dinner with an incredible view, we even saw a large pod of Risso's dolphins.
Beautiful outdoor area, dog friendly. Marina, our waitress was awesome- was very attentive. The Caesar salad with prawns was delicious. The chicken Caesar my husband was served was presented nicely with a thigh and leg not cut up chunks. The artichoke flatbread was s nice addition to our meal.
The ambiance was great the live music was wonderful and the food delicious. The mixed cocktails were nice and the server was very nice and attentive!
Love the food and the ambiance of the place. The view is spectacular!

The best place in cannery row to eat ,good food and awesome service
Absolutely incredible meal! Diane was fantastic. She made our honeymoon meal just perfect! We will be back
What a beautiful breakfast spot.
We’ve tried their breakfast burrito, waffles and frittata were great, exceptional
Coffee.
Friendly atmosphere.
We had ann amazing dinner for our anniversary and then two wonderful visits to the bar! Luis was so professional and definitely had great drink knowledge! One night we came in a few minutes before closing and a server said he was sorry he just clocked out but Luis took out to go desert order and was so patient and kind! This restaurant really makes the hotel. Amazing and Luis is such a great front man at the bar!
Good food with high quality ingredients but small portions. When we sat down, we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. Forgot that tap is probably an option so we had the opportunity to accidentally enjoy a single bottle of $14 still water. 🫠
The wait staff were very efficient and our food arrived quickly. Clam chowder is pretty good taste and portion wise but the wedge salad is very small and we did not think worth the price.
Had breakfast at the restaurant. Live music and great view of Monterey Bay. Wait staff was attentive and food was good. Originally I was a little hesitant about the place being too foo-foo, glad to see my fears were not justified. I ordered Ham and Eggs, what I got was what I was expecting...a hearty breakfast.
(I was worried about getting dollops of egg foam, resting on a slice of potato and surrounded by ham puree.) 😆
Later that evening I was desperate for a cup of regular coffee. Not expresso or latte, just a regular cup of hot black coffee. The bar was able to come to my rescue with a cup of coffee I could take back upstairs. Really appreciated not having to run out to get a coffee.
I love this hotel and the restaurant but haven’t been back for quite awhile. The services, decor, food and drinks are still very good but it’s a bit pricey (we are on our 3rd year of COVID, everything is getting expensive, gas is $6 per gallon).
I had a great dinner and would recommend it to anyone.
While visiting the enchanting Cannery Row, we stopped in at the InterContinental's C Restaurant + Bar for what turned out to be a surprising delight. Not limited to hotel guests, the C Restaurant + Bar offers the discerning passerby some of the best oysters, calamari, and clam chowder in the area while the floor-to-ceiling windows offer panaramic views of the Monterey Bay.
The curated menu, though modest in selection, presents an array that ranges from the standard Monterey Bay fare to duck confit and a classic cheeseburger. For those interested in sharing a quick bite, the Monterey Bay Calamari proved to be an exquisite and delectabke choice generously portioned for two.
The service is a excellent! We spoke with the bar tender about the local beer of draft and spoke with one of the chefs to learn more about the wild mushrooms on the menu - learning that they are delivered daily and meticulously cleaned by hand in the hotel's kitchen.
Amidst the rhythmic hustle of Cannery Row, the C Restaurant + Bar evades the attention of tourists merely footsteps away and offers a calming sanctuary for epicurean enthusiasts.
This restaurant is such a gem! Every single surface was spotless and every single staff member was so attentive and professional while maintaining friendliness and warmth. The view is beyond compare, so be sure to make reservations noting a window table (though every seat has a pretty great view). The warm rosemary bread with goat cheese butter topped with lemon olive oil is stellar! I'd be remiss if I skipped the dessert; the Baked California is outstanding!!! The acoustic music Thursday through Sunday evenings provides the best relaxing environment.
Everything about the C restaurant was amazing for both breakfast & Dinner. Whenever we are in Monterey we love staying at the Intercontinental. The ease, the excellence in service, and the abundance of amazing dishes make the C a A+. If you want to escape the craziness of the aquarium for lunch the C is the place to be.
The cost is nearly the same but you can easily be seated. Where as lunch at the aquarium you are circling like buzzards to nab a table.
All around 5 stars. The staff here is absolutely amazing. Our family has been going here for 12 years and enjoyed the best service by Salvador. We highly recommend asking for his section.
Beyond the service, the food is top notch. They have some of the best oysters you can eat in Monterey. The entrées are done to perfection with each bite better than the one before. Salvador recommended the Honey Toast dessert which was so mind blowing.
Expect to pay about 50-100 per person but have one of the best dining experiences in Monterey.
If Salvador isn't there ask for Devin and tell them we sent you :-). Also, the management staff, Amanda, is top of her class in guest services and can handle any situation.
Wonderful meal. Service was fantastic. Prawn cocktail was a bit on the smaller size but the presentation and flavor was fabulous. Filet was perfect (med-rare) and the off menu special was Sea Bass which was cooked and flavored to perfection. It got a bit busy towards the end our meal but I'm seriously nit picking here. Can't wait to go back.
