Everything about Schooners was a pleasure. We sat outside on the deck. Great views, it was a bit chilling as it was earlier afternoon, but we were offered a lap blanket which were warm and cozy. Depending on seating location and the tide you may get a bit of a spray or catch a wave, I recommend asking the host for the driest location.
I suggest the brussel sprout and blueberry salad appetizer, so tasty. We did have cocktails that lent to our relaxing lunch, wine and martinis were our preferred drinks. For lunch we ordered pretzel burger and crab role, yummy.
Service was always excellent at Schooners, I hadn't been in a while as I moved iut of the area, but was pleased not much had changed. Some may say it upscale dinning, that's can be true but you can go in casual attire and not feel out of place. I have found that a party of two dining in a restaurant anywhere in California is going to have a bill of $60 to $100, Schooners is on the upper end, but considering they deliver on food, service and atmosphere I thought it was a reasonable expenditure. The food is super good. We had the pancakes and the avocado toast, the presentation was picture perfect. Not to mention it tasted great too. I wish they had more vegetarian options, but overall still 5/5 because it was enjoyable. It does get busy at times, so mind the wait time even after you get your table.

Hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! The fries and slaw were also so delicious! Very generous portions, and the kids menu has a wide array of options which is great for kids who are picky (mine lol). Very friendly customer service and very fast service too. Our waters were always replenished and we were checked on multiple times. We opted for outdoor seating and it had an amazing view of the water. The ambiance was great and made for a wonderful family brunch. The one critique I have is about the lemonade. I have no idea what that was. It was carbonated and really weird, did not end up drinking it. Didn’t let that spoil my lunch though. We will definitely return!

I recently had lunch here. Everything was top notch. Friendly, professional service promptly seated us and treated us like royalty. Steamed mussels and toasted garlic bread were deliciously served over gentle lapping waves overlooking serene monterey bay. A playful otter enhanced the ambiance. The polished leaves of indoor plants reflected happiness. Staff learned it was my birthday and brought me a gorgous mini chocolate bundt. I look forward to a return visit to explore other menu gems.

Only stopped buy for drinks. A healthy pour on the Margarita and rum & coke. The atmosphere on the deck facing the bay is tough to beat when the whales are spraying. The outdoor heaters were very cozy

Our experience started with a visit for a afternoon snack, where a nice gal named Ozzy helped us, and we had a nice chat over some fries…but it was her hospitality that helped us choose to return for breakfast. While the gal who helps us at breakfast was also superb, the food was the main event. We ordered Avocado toast with the most perfectly cooked packed eggs, side of potatoes that were creamy n tasty, the yogurt parfait was healthy with a very good granola, and the smoked salmon with caper berries and sesame bagel….we also enjoyed the pressed juices. Breakfast with an ocean view, marvelous service and delicious food across the board.

It is very fancy looking place, very good service but the food was okay.
The portions was fine but it has no taste.
I got lobster rolls and it was salad inside or sandwich.
Red hummus pepper and it had a lot of onions.
Chicken sandwich was okay, tilapia tacos was okay, It was brewery style food, goes well with a beer.
Overall place is fancy, food is okay. If you love good food I would not recommend this place.

Based on Google Reviews, we visited Schooner's for a late lunch. We were NOT disappointed. We were promptly seated on the patio and the drinks/food were well-paced and hit the spot! I ordered a Plaza cheeseburger that was cooked exactly as I requested. Scenery, service and quality of food, make this a must stop location.

Came here for our anniversary. Fantastic seating outside for a view of the ocean. (Where else would you sit?) Service was stellar, checking in on us and making sure we had we wanted. Food was yummy too. And got a little bonus for our anniversary which was so sweet.
