Food here was delicious and portions were large. Unfortunately this place made me sick several hours after I ate it! The rest of my party agreed it was because of how greasy the food was. I had chili cheese fries and the bean and cheese burrito.
If you eat here, DO NOT eat more than you can handle.

The Special Quesadilla with pastrami and guacamole is the best! I have been enjoying those since I was a kid at Montebello High School. I now live in Northern Calif. but stopped into Gardunos last week when I was in town and shared a Special Q with my wife, and LOVED it!

Ordered a burger form there once, the bun looked like it was stepped on, little to no lettuce on the burger, hardly any dressing, no tomatoesor onions, and the meat was cold.
Plus the price was high for a simple burger.

Driving down Whittier Blvd you probably wouldn't give Gardunos a second glance. It's tiny, dingy and well... all around not so pretty. But if you've been lucky enough to have been introduced to this place by a local- perhaps a Montebello High school alumni (which right behind this spot) bestowed this gem upon you. Either way, you came here and probably have returned for their greasy, yummy, delicious food. The burgers are big, juicy, greasy, cheesy messes that'll make your mouth yearn for more once you've taken that last bite. Or maybe you're on a tight budget but want something filling and delicious in your belly and payday is still a mere mirage at the end the week. Well, you're in luck! Stop by and order one of their huge bean and cheese burritos! I'd suggest getting your food to go, as this place is tiny and there usually isn't a free table.

Customer service was great. I ordered a carnita.burrito. the carnita.meat was not good at all. Taste like it was frozen and they re-heated. Not fresh at all. I paid $7 for it. So disappointed.

The worst food I ever had and I been going there since high school this is the last time I would ever go there. P. S the night cook doesn't even know how to roll a burrito AWFULL FOOD DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
