Max & Erma's

I had a good time. My girl took me out to eat. I just wasn't happy that my Salmon dinner was $15 and change, and the other half wasn't there. It was good it's been over 30 years since I been at a Max & Erma's. Glad to see that the menu expanded. You use to couldn't get turkey burgers. A plus in that.

This was a nice restaurant in the past. I frequented the downtown location while attending evening classes at CCAC. This is my first time eating at this location and I will never come again. The portions were smaller than I would like. I ordered the Pittsburgh salad usually the bell peppers would be the same size and they were not. I had what looked like 6 pieces of steak and it wasn’t cut evenly. It was almost like the chef had zero experience cooking in a kitchen. There were fruit flies don’t waste your time at this location. The bathroom was very clean and the staff was constantly cleaning up. Not one ounce of dirt on the floor.

The food was great but the service could be a little better. When dinning with family it took our server a good minute to bring out our drinks and when one of my family members ask for a bag to take her food to go one of the servers set the bag down at another empty booth next to us expecting us to get up and get the bag instead of just laying the bag on the table or handing it right to her. Just my personal experince and my opinion but the food and drinks was great.

The servers were nice,friendly and helpful. The problem was the food. It had no taste. I had the soup and it was not seasoned at all. The Fish and chips were lousy . There were 2 nice filets served, nicely battered. They were greasy as if nobody drained them. The fries were limp and tasted like the fish. They did make a nice Gin and Tonic. For what it was I felt their prices were to high I could have gone to Eat n Park and had a better piece of fish with good fries. Not headed back anytime soon.
