Villa Laura Restaurant

Well I'd say the food is good but I couldn't eat it because they've converted it into a pizzeria with three little tables, one of which was covered with pizza boxes. The side room that was the restaurant is now an Italian goods market. So even though it says 'dine in' available, it's really a table to grab a slice only.

Went to the new Italian market side of Villa Laura today with my son. It was AMAZING - the inside beautifully decorated and displays fresh/Italian foods so well. The food we got was delicious and right around the corner, save the trip to ShopRite deli counter, this place is as good as it gets. They also have refrigerated meals, ready to slice deli meats and fresh bread!! Must go if you live in Monroe/Spotswood area! Regular Pizza is solid. Margarita Pizza is very good; love that it was not overly salted. They do give a lot of food for their entrees. Pasta Fagiola had no flavor and Veal Saltimbocca was ok. The Marsala sauce could use more flavor, for the price. We once ordered Chicken Parm Calzones and while gigantic, it only had a few little pieces of chicken scattered throughout; disappointing. Chicken Cacciatore was pretty good. Delivery guy was very nice and friendly.

Came for a Bridal Shower and everything was wonderful. True attention to detail. The food was wonderful. I hadn't been here in years, but since there have been new owners... I was pleasantly shocked. I live across the street and now I definitely know where I will be calling. Eggplant was amazing and the penne Ala vodka was to die for.
