I've been coming here since I was 9. They always had the best mac and cheese, the smokiest and most moist pulled pork, incredible hash and rice, and wonderful service. Almost 20 years later, the quality and service have not changed. It's not self serve at the moment due to COVID-19, but they serve up generous portions regardless. Please check out this Moncks Corner staple if you want good ol' fashioned Southern BBQ.

Best coleslaw in town! Mr. Mike and Abby serve awesome food with down-home hospitality and granny approved cooking! I prefer the mustard barbecue but the regular barbecue is awesome too. Thursday is broccoli casserole day, my favorite!

I always like to try small local places when I'm out being a tourist. This was a great little BBQ place. We got the buffet, and the hash and rice was great. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place for sure. :-)

Awesome local BBQ place to visit after hiking at Old Santee Canal Park. Great hash and fixins - plenty of southern staples for everyone. Must visit if you are in Moncks Corner.

Decent place to eat. It has a small buffet for around 13 a person. Only thing I didn't like is sign said 3 and under is free and was charged half price for my 3 year old. He doesn't eat enough to cost around 6 dollars (with drink) at a buffet. They only have two small desserts at a table to the side. What they did have for dessert on one side was mushy. Buffet had pulled pork (2 different styles), fried chicken, baked chicken, fried pork chops (they were a little hard and dry), and a few different sauces it seemed for the pork. They also had some crunchy items which my have been pork ears or something. Idk. Veggies were limited but decent selection wise. Coleslaw (sweet not vinegary), collards (yummy! Not tons of vinegar like some), lima beans, mac and cheese (good but ALOT of pepper), sweet potatoes (or yams? I can't tell the difference by appearance and didn't try these), rice with what appeared to be sausage in it (didn't get this either), a squash (yellow and green) and onion medley (that was just sitting in it's own juices so it got really mushy. Was also very salty and peppery), and they also had carrots, and what seemed like canned green beans and potatoes. Everything was decent. Place is really small. Sweet tea was yummy. I live near North Charleston so driving to Moncks Corner to try this was alright but I won't be back again because the drive isn't worth the food. After taking gas into account it becomes around 17 a person for us. If I lived in the area I'd go back. Wait staff was pretty good as well. She was nice and hospitable. If you're in the area give this a try. It's pretty good. I'd give this 3.5 stars but no half option so I gave it a 4.

I love this restaurant, because I like the BBQ that’s vinegar based! They have a decent buffet, kinda pricey, $14.50 a person seems a little high, to me it does anyway. They have what I’d call soul food items, chicken, collards,mac-n-cheese, and other items like that. I definitely recommend giving them a try for yourself, especially if you like the vinegar bbq, but they have other good stuff too. Their lemonade is awesome!

Here visiting from NYC. The food was great. Buffet style. My server was nice and professional. I would have given 5 stars, BUT, I couldnt eat all my food, and was not allowed to take out my leftovers. I understand that they are trying to discourage abuse, but come on. It was only a little food left on my plate and my desert.

The place is a little sketchy looking at first. Kind of like something you'd find along an Appalachian roadside. Doesn't look like they've done much to keep the place up with 50's style decor that actually looks like it's from the 50's with paper plates and heavily worn tables and chairs. We started to leave but decided to give it a shot. Take the first bite and you realize immediately that the place looks and feels the way it does because they've put 100% of their efforts into the quality of the food. The barbeque and sides are unbelievable. Everything; the sauces, the sides, the meats, the deserts, even the sweet tea are made and prepared right there in the restaurant. There are no store bought sides or sauces. Everything is fresh and oh my God delicious. The pulled pork and mustard sauce are absolutely top shelf quality and cooked absolutely perfectly. In my opinion A&M has unseated Bessinger's as the best barbeque in the Charleston area and captured the crown of barbeque. The place isn't dirty by any means. It just has that daunting "Deliverance" feel when you first walk in. Then you talk to the people there and find out they are wonderful people making some of the most excellent barbeque in the south east. I don't know if they're winning awards but they should be. I've found a new (sort of) local favorite. I will be returning very soon and for as long as they remain open. I suggest you do too.

A gem of a home style restaurant just outside of the SCDMV in Moncks Corner, SC. It was well worth the stop to sample the food on the buffet and schedule are next visit as the menu changes daily. You've got to try the Fried Pork Chop and the Pulled pork. The veggies are outstanding as well. Kudos to Mr. Mike and his staff
