Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I've never been to a Dickey's. I figured that I would try it out, as I love good BBQ. Maybe I will find a new spot? Nope. I will not be going back. I asked the pit master what he recommended but he didn't seem too interested to give me an answer. I asked again in a different way what he liked and he didn't really have an opinion either way. That's cool, I'll keep it moving. I just got the two-meat meal... I get it to go because I'm going back to my spot to sit down and enjoy a movie and feast. Naw. Nothing like that. If you're in the food service industry, you have to understand that people eat with their eyes. The brisket wasn't sliced properly and the chicken is like 1/3 of a breast. So the presentation is off from the jump. I get this weak, unflavored, 3/4 inch squared piece of dry and dusty bread. Bread is so dry and hard that it literally broke in half. I had to apply real pressure. The beans, both baked and green were weak, with no flavor to them. They must simply cut a bag of pre-made and slightly seasoned vegetables and heat them up. I gave them two stars because it was edible and the brisket had some flavor. Them little shaved slices of a third of a chicken breast was dry. On top of all that, the place doesn't even have hot sauce. I hope they step up their game a little. It was pretty weak. Maybe it was because it's Sunday and they just don't care, at all, on Sundays? I waited to post this, thinking I may have been wrong with my interpretation, but everywhere else I've eaten here in Mobile is nice. This place is garbage.

If I could give them a million stars I would. Before I ordered I was reading the online reviews and not about to lie I was scarce to order anything, but I took my chance. The food was amazing I received just what I ordered, the food was hot fresh and plentiful. Amy delivered my food she was awesome. Thanks guys!

I ordered online, 149.98 came out of my account, ordered was cancelled when it appeared the driver showed up for delivery. I couldn’t get them on the phone. Corporate said they would let me know what they find out, nothing. I even went to the establishment and they said the money was returned for me to call my bank. Now it’s been over a week and I have to start the begging for my money process again. I just want to know what happened and where is my money.

I am in town due to work for the week…wanted to try a new BBQ spot out…..got the 3 meat dinner combo with a lemonade. I used DoorDash (they suck also). I got a sprite, some pulled fat, two mini pieces of Turkey, and dry sandpaper ribs. Highly disappointed and would not reccomend!!! #DreamLandItIs Don’t think I will be eating at Dickeys here again!!!
