Mother Mary's Family Restaurant

Being a great local place that provides wonderful foods I would hate to see this place get popular. However, it would be unjust for me to review it lower than 5 stars to keep it a nice haven. You want a fantastic breakfast then look no where else. Common the hash browns are made wonderfully by not being too crispy and not undercooked. The pancakes are not overdone or made so pale and lastly the eggs are spot on.

Extremely disappointed and not at all satisfied. I was excited about home cooking . And noo . Everything taste like it came out of a package. The gravy was definitely instant so was the potatoes. The broccoli cheese rice casserole is soupy and very bland. And the hamburger steak would have been good on a bun. But its covered in that nasty powdered gravy. And to make things worse this meal cost me 15.00 seems like a lot for a lunch plate. Especially since i wont eat it. Photos of before i tried to eat and how much is left.

My wife and I were running around to various yard and estate sales when we decided it was time for some lunch. A quick look online suggested Mother Mary’s so we decided to give it a go. Now, if you’re the type of person that insists on a polished atmosphere, this ain’t he place for you. This is a low key hole in the wall. I say this with love and respect, nothing at all wrong with this type a place. My wife and I sat ourselves and were promptly attended to. I started with a cup of the gumbo which was some of the best gumbo I’ve ever had. I also had the bacon ranch cheeseburger with fries and my wife had the club sandwich. The burger was hand pattied with fresh toppings and delicious. My wife enjoyed her sandwich and onion rings. Overall, Mother Mary’s was a positive experience and I would recommend it if you’re in the neighborhood.

Food had good taste; but cleanliness, double thumbs down! One server was doing everything; from taking the orders, to serving the food and refilling drinks. Then she rings up people's payments, touching money, then serve food again. No washing hands or anything in-between. This place needs to do better when it comes to social distancing their customers. The tables/chairs are too close.
