Finally, a great Chinese buffet! We travel throughout the United States and are used to (in our opinion) one of the best Chinese buffets anywhere, Mandarin in the Toronto area. So when we're traveling we like to see if we can find something even remotely close. We haven't had good luck in dozens of attempts... until today!
China Doll is a great place with fresh and delicious food. There is a wide variety including beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and veggie dishes. The sushi was a nice addition as well. I can't knock a single thing.
And the price was nuts! $11.30 (incl. tax) for the Saturday lunch buffet. Note that the buffet is lunch ONLY, so for dinner you'll be ordering off the menu.

very good fresh fried rice. The owner is very sweet. They keep things fresh . Def try the crab rangoons ( best in town) the rice and the stuffed crab. They only serve the buffet for lunch
They have a great lunch buffet that I highly recommend. The dinner was disappointing and won't return for that. This is a great way to sample their food and I have many favorites on their buffet. Clams, chicken with bok choy, eggplant and fried shrimp are consistently delicious. They really do have one of the best Hot and Sour soups in Mobile.
We have been going to China Doll for years. Christina is always cheerful and accommodating. I'm happy that Mobile has a place that serves up authentic Cantonese dishes on their lunch buffet: Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, Braised Beef Brisket with Turnip Stew, Clams in Black Bean Garlic Sauce, Gai Lan (Chinese broccoli) with oyster sauce, chives dumpling & stir fried long beans (just to list my favorites & items are rotated). Great place!! With more than one dining area, there's never a long wait.
Just enjoyed a great buffet many items you don't see on other Chinese buffets. The hot and sour soup is the best I have tasted in Mobile.
The BEST Chinese in Mobile! My husband and I have been trying Chinese restaurants all over the area and nowhere comes close to this place. The interior is warm and inviting, very clean and nice. Our waiter was great and very knowledgable about the menu items. The price is great for what you get, my husband and I shared an entree....enough for dinner with no leftovers. Very flavorful, not bland at all. I can't wait to go back again :)
Always excellent food, I see why they are award winning. For dinner appetizer ask for steamed pork buns, a special dim sum item not on the menu (get 1 per person).
Great Food. My wife and I have often enjoyed the lunch buffet at the China Doll restaurant. There is always a great selection on the buffet and food in the evenings has always been excellent. I am a big fan of the fried squid and just about anything else you find on the buffet.
Lunch Buffet is Terrific. They have an excellent lunch buffet. I have not been to a better on in town.
By far the best Chinese restaurant in Mobile. Generous array of choices on daily buffet and always fresh. Personable hostess and prompt service. We love to eat there. Herb and Freida
