Started off with good service, but went downhill fairly quick. First we ordered drinks and a shot, which on my end were really good. But didn't get to place our order for another 20 minutes. Although it seemed busy our waitress said "this isn't even busy, just wait until next week" then we found out she only started that summer. We had to be there for a good 2-2 1/2 hours because of the slow service. But all that aside, the food was so so good. Lobster mac and cheese was very delicious, coming from a mac and cheese snob. The fish tacos were also really good and fresh. Everyone in our group said the food was great and the mushroom ravioli was a mammoth meal. The deep fried cookie dough was pretty good, but not good enough to wait an extra 20 minutes after our bill arrived because our waitress forgot to put in the order. Seemed like a fun place, but I would probably only be back during a less busy time.
Wonderful food as always. We were enjoying the outdoor eating until a relentless wasp decided to join us, we had to move inside. I had the 1/4 pound burger with bacon and fries. Delicious.
Good food and atmosphere, hit and miss service. I've always liked the Iron Horse, but avoid it after a certain time of night, when the crowd changes to the late night partiers. The food is usually good, but the service is hit and miss. The outdoor area is awesome in the summer!
Place was clean, fresh, and fun. Food and beer was pretty good. I was surprised at how good the steak was. The garlic fries are awesome. All in all I would go again. Also of note there's a lot of modern music in the background so if you're looking for a quite pub this inst it.

Solid Pub Food. Nice pub food, but nothing all that spectacular. The sweet potato fries are a good addition to any meal, especially the burgers. Some of the mixed drinks are fun, even though it is always weird ordering the Strawberry Sex. I mean do strawberries even have sex? The service is normally good and the waitstaff is very friendly!
Just great.... Great seasonal Big Sky and steak sandwich, both recommended by our server who was very good. Patio was a fun evening place.
Good. The Garlic Parmesean Sweet Potato Fries are very good. As is the popcorn, I can't remember the name for that.

I had the '501.' it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. And the service--we had Brittany as our waitress. She was spectacular. Drink the '501' with the Moose Drool.

Good pub food!. There are many good places to eat in Missoula; however, this was the first restaurant we fell in love with when we moved here. The staff is always friendly and there is a great drink selection. Our favorite foods to recommend would be the gyro burger, griz burger (and we are even bobcat fans) and the athena, but no matter what you get make sure to get the sweet potato fries!
This is the type of establishment to bring out of town guests too. Not only is it in downtown Missoula, but it is also a very clean place that offers a variety of choices; burgers, pasta, salad, steaks, nachos ect. It is a great place for lunch and also a great place for a dinner date night.
Sweet potato fries. I tried the tune here it was very tasty. I like there pork sammys, and the sweet potato fries.
Always a Favorite. This is a great standby restaurant that promised delicious food and a fun experience. There is always something happening, and the great menu supports the atmosphere in a fun, reliable way. Everything from a Salmon BLT to a Black Bean Burger, to diverse salads pleased our group, and we all couldn't wait to come back for more. The beer is standard microbrew and national brews, with plenty to choose from on tap.
I would recommend Iron Horse for watching sports on the TVs as a group, meeting friends after work, and a fun place to end up after a night out.

Great menu. One of our favorites, don't agree with the other posters. Very popular place, great interesting menu. The pesto quesidillas are awesome, the spicy chicken tandoori salad is amazing. Try the sweet potato fries.
I am so glad I ate here tonight after the marathon. I wanted a buffalo burger and this one did not disappoint . Ordered the chipotle bacon jam on the side because I’m not a huge fan of Chipotle. It was delicious I ate the whole thing! The market salad was also very good. Very generous portion. Enjoyed a Moscow mule with huckleberry vodka with my food. Yummy! And the patio is so nice, garden setting perfect for a hot day.Service was quick and super friendly.
First time visit. Great food including gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Full bar with local options. Our server was cool and had some pretty good recommendations.
If you want some really great food and you choice of a wide selection of micro brews, beers, and other drinks then this would be a gooooood choice. Its a bar so that's what the atmosphere is. A large bar with stools, various tables and chairs throughout the space. Service is quick and spot on.
One of the longest happy "hours" in town (3-6). Large menu for a variety of diets. Food is decent. Lots of outdoor seating and maybe the only place you can have dogs in Missoula (on the front patio). I recommend going early if you want to avoid the "bros"...
Consistently one of my favorites. One of the only places in town with good food, outdoor seating and a full bar. I can't remember ever waiting for service and portions are generous.

Service, drinks and food were really good. (Try the Chocolate Raspberry Martini!).
They allowed the pooch to hang with us and brought him a nice, cool bowl of fresh water. He really enjoyed his happy hour cheeseburger!
