Review Burrigato - Minneapolis

Benjamin Werner
The food is good. Typical Asian and Asian inspired dishes inside burritos or bowls. I don’t always want to sit down for 45 minutes to an hour for these flavors, so the concept is appealing. Eggs cost a dollar extra but the whole meal is a value. A decent quantity for about ten dollars. I had the panang curry. Ambience is very basic. Pop music on rotation and a couple televisions streaming YouTube videos or shows.

Polite staff that was very helpful and walked us through each step as it was our first time. Fast, efficent service with delicious and cheap food. Highly recommend it.

Creative burritos served by extraordinarily friendly owners that will gladly take their time to explain their art! The place is new, and I'd love to see it live to its potential!

I've been going to this location regularly for well over a year now. It's been incredible, especially with how much they've improved. Portions are great, and the food is always fresh. The staff is incredible and friendly and do a lot to promote interaction in the local community. On their improvements, they are now better able to keep up with demand, and I haven't seen them run out of a dish in a long time, even when I go as soon as they open, or before close. They are also a good deal for the area. I personally think 1$ for an egg is a bit much, so I will rarely get it, but the standard menu pricing is spot on. All in all, a great meal of great food.

9/25 update. Since my last review, I've visited here 3 times and it really seems like things are back on the right path! Veggies are very fresh, service is fast and courteous. I'm really happy the owners have made a few tweaks, thus I am giving 5 stars! I wish the owners and staff the best of luck in the coming months and I will happily continue to be a loyal customer.

Stopped in on a whim because I missed my bus and was super hungry. Best decision I could have possibly made. Burrito was super tasty and extremely filling! Also, the customer service was phenomenal, these fellas really know their food and definitely care about the customer. Will be returning for sure.

Unfortunately, since the menu change, I have only stopped here once, when before I was a weekly customer. The Panang curry was so good it inspired me to begin cooking curries at home. Now, without the chicken cooked into the sauce, it just isn't the same. The staff here are top of the line; they truly care about each of their customers. The speed and quality of service is unmatched, all while serving a unique product. But sadly, the Burrigato I fell in love with has changed and gone away.

I am a huge fan of everything about this place. The location just off of University Ave is very convenient for students. All of the dishes can stand alone as either a burrito or a bowl but they have plenty of toppings to choose from if you want to spice it up (the bbq is my absolute favorite). Best of all you just cannot beat the service. It is always quick and all the employees are incredibly friendly. Highly recommend stopping in.

you can sample the dishes before you put them on your burrito! the sauces are ahhmazing! the green curry is very sweet! chili lime sauce is drinkable! the meat is fresh tasty meat, not at all like the frozen rubber at typical Asian places! they also ask if you want your egg runny!!! amazing place!!! go here!

I don't go here nearly enough. I love the fusion between the burrito and Korean food. Everything is very flavorful with a great amount of spice (disclaimer: I really like spicy things). My only complaint is that whenever I seem to go there for lunch, it's a bit understaffed and occasionally they are out of things.

I’m skeptical of restaurants that take on too many Asian cuisines, but I really enjoyed my meal here. It’s nice to have a place to get in and out of quickly for lunch. I got the bibimbap bowl, which was delicious - lots of veggies and good flavors. Unfortunately that’s the only vegetarian option so that will limit how often I want to go there. Make a Japanese tofu bowl, please!

I wish I could give Burrigato 10 stars. The bokkeum burrito had the most perfectly spicy and flavorful pork. The veggies were crisp, and my wrap was well constructed. The soft drinks are reasonably priced, and the service was incredibly fast and friendly. I will definitely be returning to Burrigato to try their other burrito flavors.

The food was good! Really depends on wjat you put together though. My favorite was the steak and the thai curry. The person stuffing the burrito was kind but the lady getting the tortilla was kind of rude by rushing customers with their orders.

Food is tasty. Be adventurous and get it as a burrito. As so many others say in their reviews too, the people here are so nice (not just the owners who are always on location and serving food). They only have one full vegetarian option, but it's seriously good.

A limited menu, but it's all great, and they're careful about marking spice levels. Their kimchi is particularly nice with the Korean bbq option. And it's so fast! I especially like their rice, which is good enough to enjoy alone, much less with their sauces.

LOVE Burrigato! Their new menu lets you customize dishes a lot more - but they can still make anything that used to be on the old menu. I get something different each time and everything tastes great.

This place is relatively new and caters to the young college crowd. The decor is great with a nice modern feel. It's like an Asian spin on Chipotle but the tastes are unique. Definitely worth a visit to try something new. The number one was amazing.

Amazing flavors and fresh ingredients! They make everything right in front of you. Very friendly customer service, a quaint and cool dining area, and reasonable prices. Plus, they're the closest you can get to the U of M campus if you want to eat in Dinkytown. I highly recommend this place!

I was a bit apprehensive about the concept of Asian burritos at first, but everything I've tried here has been good. Panang curry burritos have become a staple for me. Fast service, and impeccably clean. Give them a try! Actually, give them two tries, to adjust your expectations; because Asian burritos are pretty unusual.

Loved the Thai and Japanese take on burritos! To make it simple, it's like an Asian Chipotle. Great flavor and just the right kick of flavor and spice. Definitely worth a visit.

Honestly, the food there is great! I've been to Burrigato more than a few times and every single time I am greeted upon very warmly. My first time there they patiently answered our inquiries (I was with a group that time) on the food and allowed us to taste test the food. I highly encourage anyone seeking out a friendly place (not to mention great food) to head over here. They have options that vary in spiciness, so if you don't want spicy food you can still get something. They also have a vegetarian option as well as a bowl option.

I go there at least 3 times a week. The taco rice and the Penang and my favorites but I switch between all the meals available. They even have a Thai holy basil dish that comes in as a special every now and again it is absolutely AMAZING!!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

You can’t go wrong with any of the options presented to you. I also love the fact that upon the great food they have, you can watch Twitch while keeping your mouth busy.

The Ka Prao was excellent! A space that once housed the saddest frozen yogurt place in the world has been transformed into a very promising little restaurant.

Awesome food. Authentic Thai Krapaow! I'm going back there as much as I can (although I live in St. Paul). The owner is very kind and friendly, should say hi to her if you meet her !

Loved the concept. Loved the food. I know it's new but running out of my first two choices at 1 o'clock in the afternoon when u just opened at 11 is kinda lame. Prob would help if another person was working

Well...we were greeted so warmly upon walking in the door. Cool looking space. Daniel offered up samples, explained each menu item with enthusiasm. We got our food (TOTAL BARGAIN) sat down and proceeded to taste each others. Everything was fantastic. I loved every bite. Good portions. This will be a popular destination for students as well as staff & faculty. Please support this place over the next few months of summer! They deserve it. Daniel also traveled around the dining area asking for suggestions. Love this place and will be a loyal patron!

Brilliant and satisfying - this is a must when exploring Dinky Town and the campus.

The most delicious and filling $7 I've spent in Dinkytown. It's everything I like about two of my favorite kinds of foods. Highly reccomended!
