update: terrible terrible news. Loon Deli is permanently closing on August 31st. 😭😭 It doesn't get much better than Loon Deli!! Though, be prepared to fall into a food coma. The guys that work there are very kind and efficient, and the food always hits the spot. Loon is easily among me top spots in the City. I swear by the spicy gyro combo, but one of the workers there says he would choose the Philly if he could only eat one thing the rest of his life!

Oh my gosh. My boyfriend and I love this place we have been getting their gyro combos for 4 years and he before that. The only other place we can compare is gyropolis in Bloomington BUT loon deli beats that and is number 1! Why? Because they load up the gyros there is so much meat and veggies. It’s like what you wish chipotle would do in your burrito loon deli does. The ppl that work here are so nice!

This place is a few blocks from my apartment and is the best place in the city for a gyro in my opinion. The food is reasonably priced with great portions and is, of course, delicious. I recommend this place to everyone I know!

Great gyro and falafel. I know good falafel is hard to come by, crispy and moist / flavorful. Pickles were great too!

Please give this place a chance! I usually do doordash and the delivery is prompt and my food is hot and fresh. I love getting their chicken fingers and their cheeseburger with fries. I have gone to the physical location and it's one guy, usually working his butt off and he's also very professional and friendly. It's right next to a smoke shop so if you needed snacks or anything else it would be convenient to order your food, wait for it and just browse the smoke shop for potential snacks or smokes.

If you’re looking for a classic hole in the wall gyro place the deli is great. A lot of different options too. The smoke shop next door has your classic needs as well. Nice staff.

Just tried it for the first time and all I can say is wow. I've lived down the street from here for years and I always forget to go grab their food but I am one happy camper. Since it was my first time I had to go all out so I got the Loon Platter, pizza puff, spinach pie, jojos, and baklava. The falafel is honestly some of the best falafel I've had in a long time too. And the guy that rang us up was super nice! Highly recommend.

Cool place friendly staff. The gyros are some of the best around and the portions are good for the price. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because a lot of their products don't have prices on them which means you'll know the cost at checkout.

The staff is the best, and so is the take out food. The gyros are the best and I've yet to find a place with better fried chicken take out. Mustafa is awesome. He remembers my family and me and always asks about my baby if he doesn't come along for pickup. Call ahead to order your food and you won't have to wait.

What a fun experience. Never would have expected such a nice meal based on the looks, but the food was delicious and the portions were large. It is takeout only, but food was fine 15 minutes after we left. There wasn't a wait for us but the chef said there can be a wait. Here chopped veggies for my salad after I ordered, so it took a little time but the food was fresh. Loved the falafel and the hummus. My salad with gyro meat was top notch. Would definitely come again.

The Philly Cheese Steak is superb. Customer service is wonderful and they treat you like family. It's not a sit down deli so grab and go but you'll be back for more guaranteed. I highly recommend this spot.

SO GOOD! Best gyro I’ve ever had. Their gyro platter is awesome. For $11 you get amazing hummus, Greek salad, gyro meat, rice, and pita. So good could eat it every day.

I have never had a bad meal from Loon Deli. The cooks are quick and clean. I live two blocks away and they are always a great choice when I’m in a pinch for lunch or dinner. It’s so good that I named my wifi after this place. Password is S****St****

Loon has the best Gyros. Been going there since 2009. My daughters still prefer I drive there even though we're no longer around the corner. Love this place.

I was there for ecig juice. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a discount bin and I tried 2 flavors of the dozen available and I liked them both. I did not know that it was a deli. I Will have to check it out next time I go back.

This place is fire. Massive portions, amazing gyros, very friendly staff. I'd recommend ordering your gyro spicy and your fries seasoned.

Yesterday was my first time trying Gyros from Loon Deli (part of Loon Grocery in Uptown) and it was sooooo good. Probably the best Gyro I've ever had and definitely the biggest (VERY filling). I loved the spicy giardiniera sauce. Our entire office had it delivered and loved it.

Wow If you want to try to best Gyro in the Twin Cities come here! Very fresh meat never frozen! The sides were just as fresh and I ordered another one to go!
