A fun, upscale cafe on the edge of downtown with expertly crafted coffees and fresh pastries. I love how much natural light floods through the space. The atmosphere was calming- soft music playing in the background and people quietly talking. I can’t wait to come back in the summer to try their outdoor seating.

Stopped here to get a light breakfast. Got a pecan cinnamon pull apart and a miel beverage. The service was fantastic, the pull apart was delicious and the miel was good. Although we took our order to go, I liked the atmosphere inside here. It was located inside next to the main lobby of the building.

Cool place! Quiet and peaceful. Good place to catch up with friends or work. The matcha latte was good (a bit strong for me though). Limited yet nice selection of pastry items - great croissants!

Up there with the best of them. Although the prices are quite high the setting is stellar. Winter or summer it is bomb, but the summer is where it shines in my humble opinion. It has a beautiful patio area and then there is another beautiful patio area of the building that you could also sit in. It is stunning and hip and I wish I didn’t love it so much, but alas I do. You can sit and enjoy the stunning views of the city. I usually get a chai or iced tea and they have been good every time. As well as all the food I have had has been excellent. I usually don’t like parking so I’ll take the bus to get there, which makes it better than paying for parking.

Penny's is just as, if not more beautifully designed than it's reputation purports. The Caramel Apple crêpe I ordered came quickly and is probably the best I've ever had, and the Spyhouse coffee certainly holds it's own. I've been to just about every coffeehouse in downtown, and this one is definitely a new favorite.
It's well worth the stop if you're ever in the area, and even if you're not, it's worth going out of your way just for the design and atmosphere.
I'll absolutely be returning soon.

If you love bright open spaces, friendly service, delicious crepes and of course, good espresso, you have to add this to your list. On a Sunday late morning, it was busy, and the wait on my savory ham/gruyere crepe was about 30 minutes. Honestly, I didn't mind, it was just enough time to enjoy the artful latte. The sunlight is a bit intense if you're seated directly in it, but overall a great place to catch up with a close friend, or to meet up for an informal date where the lighting really can't be beat.

Penny's is a delicious cafe with a beautiful, professional yet artistic interior.
Me & friends embarked on this place to work on homework (we are college students). Finding parking is very difficult. We had to navigate around the one-ways for 15 minutes until we caught someone pulling out.
The interior is gorgeous and such an interesting space! Of course we had to take some photos! The smoked caramel latte was delicious along with the cranberry scone. My friends enjoyed their tea and black coffee as well. The vibe is very calm and serious. The employees were friendly, helpful, and professional. We really enjoyed conversing with them.
During the day you'll find business professionals working or doing meetings. We really loved that it was a quiet and productive environment. The seating is clearly set up for sitting down and getting work done.
Overall, I would 100% Penny's coffee & pastries. It's more on the spendy side but that's assumed with all coffe-related businesses in the center of Minneapolis. I love the space and the way it's set up. I also loved their stickers! I really enjoyed our experience here!

Very nice, chill atmosphere with good music. I love the forest green marble walls and large plants. The seating is unique, as the bar is the center of the room. The menu is pretty basic and offers nothing too unique. Despite that, the tea I had was good. Good for personal productivity or a cute day tea time.

Pro-Tip: If you get the Golden Latte, ask for a shot or 2 of espresso. You won’t regret it 😉
I would warn anyone who comes here in the morning, it may be hard to find a good spot where the 🌞 isn’t causing some problems, but right around noon it disappears behind a building. 👍🏼

I just went there this morning. This place is so cute, nice area for couples dating or students studying. The services were nice and friendly, it was a little busy this morning, but they did try to catch on every customers order which was awesome.

Perfect for a Sunday morning. We walked into the shop, greeted by morning light through huge glass windows on two sides, high ceilings and marble walls giving a serious posh vibe. The staff greeted us and shared recommendations when we asked, especially patient to explain the matcha latte and charcoal latte when I asked about them.
The food: I’d heard positive reviews, so I expected it to be good. However, it was even better than I thought it would be. The Jian Bing Chinese street crepe offered a medley of interesting and savory flavors, and the ham and gruyere crepe offered rich flavors of a classic combination with mustard aioli to complement. Other dishes we say looked amazing as well.
The coffee: The simple black drip coffee was way better than average, providing notes of slightly complex nutty territory into hints of berry fruit. Superb match for the crepes. The latte was refined and delicate, pleasant and not too heavy.
Such trendy yet upscale-leaning decor was distinct from other coffee shops and restaurants, and the patio looks spacious and cool as well. We’ll be back.

I recently heard about Penny's and wish it would have been much sooner! The thoughtfully designed environment is inspirational and the building Penny's is located in is gorgeous. The home-made almond milk lovely, and crepes delicious. I can't wait to try them all. Loved the music playing. I wouldn't change a thing. Great new (new to me) gem in my neighborhood.
