Review Las Teresitas - Minneapolis

My son and I went on a Wednesday afternoon around 2pm. Service was fast and friendly. The salsa bar was interesting. I didn't really care for the chips. They tasted burnt. There were probably about 12 different salsas. Everyone I chose was delicious. I ordered 2 beef tacos and my son ordered a serene and jalapeño pepper burrito. My tacos were quite small. Next time I will probably order 4. They were pretty good. A little too much grease. My son's burrito was amazing! It was a huge portion. I was very hot, but not so hot you lost flavor. It was delicious. I will definitely eat here again.

EXCELLENT FOOD! They have great prices, an awesome salsa bar, and great food. Their burritos are huge and delicious. Have been back many times, and the servers are very nice and love when I practice my Spanish with them.

I've been there many times over the past two years. Good place with very good food for a great price. $1 tacos Tuesday special makes it worth the trip! The El Diablo burrito is very flavorful as well as HOT! Service can be a bit sketchy at times and some times they may even open later than posted.

What a gem! They have a salsa bar that satisfies the taste buds from mild to wild. The food is fabulous for a Mexican restaurant in Minnesota, which is always far and few between to find. Great job! Can't wait to visit again!!!

No frills excellence. Never saw a salsa bar before and enjoyed it. Friendly, efficient service. My partner enjoyed the shrimp fajitas and I got to sample the Filete a la Veracruzana with unique combination of olives, chipotle, garlic, lime, tomato, onion and parsley. The tilapia portion was a bit on the small side, but the result was delicious. Even the beans tasted awesome. We will visit again when we can.

Easily one of the best, if not the best, authentic Mexican restaurant in the metro. The chips are homemade and it shows. The tacos are phenomenal and extremely fairly price (read: you can eat a ton of top tier tacos for next to nothing). As an added bonus, it is located just a minutes from MOA; so instead of breaking the bank in the over priced restaurants or accepting mediocrity at the food court, head over to Las teresitas!

The name on Google isn't the same as the sign out front.. But here's the thing. I spent the majority of my life in Arizona, which for all intents and purposes might as well still be Mexico, and it was glorious. Since moving to Minnesota, I've made it a goal to find Mexican food joints that really stand up to the great food that you could find on almost every street down there. With that in mind... This place passes with flying colors. I will absolutely be back

Great mexican food for an awesome price! Best tacos! Tried their spicy A la diabla shrimp and made me an addict!! Love that they deliver! Great for those cold mn nigths! Also love the free salsa bar when stoping in, not many places have the selection and as the chips...the salsa bar is free!

Looks like a family operated business. Super friendly! I was really happy with the burrito I ordered, great spice and good lengua. The sign out front says Tacos Lupita now, but the menus were Las Teresitas, just fyi. Will be coming back for more 👌

I've eaten here MANY times from grand opening time til about a week ago. It was a favorite neighborhood spot when I lived less than a mile away and still now that I'm almost ten miles away. I've NEVER had bad service OR food. TACO TUESDAY is AWESOME!!

This restaurant is horrible.. Food is terrible, presentation terrible and its a filthy place. The groupon is bait and switch as only a few platters are included, and they do not have drinks only soda etc. Couldn't even eat it and sorry to say it was the second time I made the mistake of buying a groupon for here ,not realizing we walked out last time without eating too.. Whoever are the reviewers on urban spoon that said it is the best must have been somewhere else.

Good Mexican, good price. Went here with a coupon after reading good reviews; the negative reviews below I don't quite understand, but maybe need to visit more than once to see... may well do that - we felt the taste was quite good - ordered pollo diablo which was nicely spiced, and carne, which was a bit bland but not bad - all improved and made as spicy as we wanted with the great and delicious selection of salsas at the salsa bar - all full, most excellent and perfectly spicy! Our waitress wasn't surly by any means, not exactly friendly, but fine... overall, great hole in the wall and good food

The food was okay. The service was definitely lacking. The server seemed very uninterested in serving us or the other 2 occupied tables. We used a Groupon and got a bill for the "tax" which I guess is fine (although you normally don't get taxed on the discounted portion of a bill). But then they taxed our tax. Seriously? It was a small amount but this really is about the principle of the situation. Will not return; much prefer Andale's. Much cleaner, friendlier, and better tasting. And they only charge us for tax once.

Awful. We had a coupon and had read the rave reviews. But it was one of the worst places we have dined and I really like hole in the walls and dives. I just couldn't like this one.<br/><br/>Our waitress was surly from the beginning and never offered refills or asked how the food was. We ordered the carne asada platter and the fajitas (chicken and beef). The carne asada was so dry and hard it was almost impossible to cut. The fajitas were slightly better but the meat was tough and off.<br/><br/>They have a chips and salsa bar in the middle of the room. The chips were mediocre and the salsa were all almost empty. The only great one was the pico. The others were okay. <br/><br/>A telling sign was there was only one other couple in the place the whole time we were there.

My Chili Sense is Tingling. This little hole-in-the-wall eatery offered up the best Mexican cuisine I've had in over 10 years and some of the best I've ever had the good pleasure to put in my mouth. The salsa bar was an excellent lead-in to the main course. Many of the salsas offered were not entirely to my liking, but two really stood out -- a green one with "avocado" in the name and my favorite which was orange in color and had "garlic" in the name. <br/><br/>I ordered the chicken mole and a ground beef taco. I hadn't had a truly authentic taco since I moved from Texas to Louisiana back in high school. Whodathunk this former Texan would rediscover incredible and authentic Mexican food in wintery Minnesota? The tacos are small, but cheap, and packed with flavor!<br/><br/>The mole was good and the taco brought back some wonderful memories, but the real star at the table was the burrito my wife ordered. Made from your meat of choice (including less common options like tripe and tongue! -- the wife went with shredded beef), rice, beans, onions and seasoning in a high-quality tortilla. It was so good I bought one to take home to Duluth.<br/><br/>I highly, highly recommend this place for lovers of "south of the border" cuisine.

I don't get it. After reading positive reviews I tried a couple of meals to go. Food quality was mediocre. Would dine-in, but the atmosphere is kind of a disaster. Salsa bar is hit or miss. Sometimes the salsa was delicious, other times it tasted like dishwater or worse.

Holy Mole!. The. Best. Mole. Sauce.

Great chile relleno, my Mexican restaurant acid test. Las Teresitas wins!

X Las Teresitas Patron. Been here at least 1/2 doz. times since they opened. Brought in many family & friends to show off new great restaurant we found that has great food & prices. Last time we had lunch on Tuesday, the day tacos are only $1.00. Sign on wall says 3 tacos per person in order to have the salsa bar. (they do not give you salsa at your table, you have to get it at the salsa bar) So I ordered 3 tacos, my husband ordered 2 tacos & side order of beans, which cost more than the $1.00 taco. She says no, we have to order 3 or 4 more tacos to get the salsa bar since it's special taco day. Even though the tacos are very small, I still don't want 4 or 5 of them for lunch. Are we suppose to eat tacos without salsa if we only want 2? We had always had such good food & friendly service there. to the point we gave her a $12.00 tip for a bill under $40.00! This visit was a real disappointment & it will be a long time, if ever, we return. In this day & age with the economy the way it is, you would think a restaurant would treat their repeat customers more curtiously.

Great Addition to the Neighborhood. What a gem Las Teresitas is! We have been curious about the new restaurant in that little 'strip mall' in our Lake Nokomis neighborhood. It was actively advertising, had cute little tables and chairs outside for al fresco dining and we thought, 'why not give it a try?' We've been there three times now and haven't been disappointed once.<br/><br/>Las Teresitas is family owned and they say business has been good. Lucy patiently explained the differences in the numerous taco fillings to us (currently $1 each!) and a quick glance at the menu showed some very authentic Mexican dishes as well as the more traditional American favorites. So far we've just done taco take out but a neighbor has been there for a full meal and said it was great. Lucy shops daily for fresh ingredients for the salsa bar and makes 8 different varieties daily. The salsa bar is amazing and worth the trip just for itself!<br/><br/>If you like the restaurant please tell your friends and neighbors. We'd love to see an affordable restaurant like this 'stick.'<br/><br/>Linda

Every once and awhile, you find one of those hole-in-the-wall spots that you don’t want to tell anyone else about — even though you know you should. Last week, we found one such place, Las Teresita Mexican Grill.

I’ve been coming to this place for a while now and I gotta say when you’re craving that old school California/Mexican street taco this is the place. On Tuesday’s they are a buck each. They have a lot of options for your protein. After trying almost all of them I will say the carne asada (steak) is hands down my favorite. The best thing about this place is that the meat is juicy, the tortillas are cooked perfectly and their salsa bar is second to none around the Twin Cities as far as I’m concerned. Some of the salsas are actually spicy and even better they are not watery. I will be the first to say that this place is the definition of a hole in the wall. It’s off a random street off of 62-E and tucked in between a convenience store and a laundromat. Obviously this is not organic, local, blah, blah, blah but sometimes when you really want the real deal, you make sacrifices. The restaurant appears to include the whole family who are working very hard to keep this place going. So next time
