I found that there's not a lot to do in this part of Minneapolis, but Krona was a bright spot. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff each time I went in. This is a typical hotel bar, but the beer selection is good. Kelly is the man. Not only was he cool about me asking to try a beer before deciding, but he gave me the straight scoop on the menu.
There's nothing better than competent staff that won't give patrons he runaround. Kelly was that guy.

Great little bar & grill accessed from the Crown Plaza lobby or Northstar building. Friendly staff and a selection of small plates and lighter fare if you want something to snack on with your drink, or full entres if you've more of an appetite.
Ate there twice. Walleye dinner was very nice. Cheeseburger ordered medium but tasted like it was burnt in a house fire. 5+3/2=4
Always love stopping here. Solid happy hour. Awesome staff that has been there forever and enjoy what they do. Bob, Kelly, Kenneth, and Gwen. Great people!
Nice place to go if you're staying at the Crowne Plaza. bar was really nice and clean. The bartenders were cool and recommend lots of places to visit.
I haven't eaten there but it's a cool place for a HH. If the weather is nice you can take your stuff to the elevator and find a nice little park setting on the 7th floor.
Great bar to hang out waiting for the bus. It's part of the hotel but many regulars and Bob treats everyone like they're VIP.
Great staff, cheap happy hour prices (cheap for downtown Minneapolis, not cheap compared to rural WI 😉)
I enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. The ingredients taste so fresh and delicious.
