The food here is fantastic and the beer selection is varied and pulls from a bunch of local craft breweries. The only downsides are that it's all outdoor seating although some does have a roof and that the food can take a while to arrive after you order.
All in all a great place to stop and have a meal while visiting the park or going out for happy hour with friends.

Fried shrimp was the star of our meal. My husband enjoyed his scallop tacos and then helped finish off the tacos.
We went late afternoon, it wasn't busy and there was plenty of seating but I can tell the place gets really busy.
If you're a beer drinker, there is plenty to choose from, Surly has a station next door and people enjoy standing in line and sipping.

A restaurant that operates in the park right beside Minnehaha Falls. Seafood is the name of the game and the po boy sandwich is a must. I went with the fried shrimp and it was outstanding. Smother it with an assortment of hot sauces and you’re good to go. The fries were also quite tasty. Limited seating inside but plenty of outside seating. Service was fast and friendly.

Decided to make a quick stop and get a small bite after our hike. Expecting nothing great. However their food with every bite just got better and better!! Even the staff was very helpful and happy greeting us with a smile! I am 100% coming back to here again!

We ate lunch here after going to Minnehaha Falls. There was a long line, but it moves quickly. We thought the food was great and well priced considering it's a park venue. We loved the clam strips and the fried fish tacos. The only thing missing was tartar sauce, we didn't see that it was offered with items on the menu. The food came with cocktail sauce instead. There were plenty of tables outside and staff was friendly and hard working.

While enjoying the beautiful Minnehaha Falls, I had a misstep and hurt my ankle. We went to the Sea Salt and I elevated my leg while my partner went to get lunch. While he was there, he asked if he could have some ice in a bag for my ankle. The staff was very eager to help! We had a delicious lunch and iced my ankle. My house salad was excellent as was the fish sandwich and fish tacos my companions had. The Sea Salt helped save the day! Thanks to the staff!

Stopped by here on our way to the airport, the line was long, but it moved quickly and despite them being busy, the food arrived rather fast. Everything was delicious and the portions were large. We had two appetisers and a portion of tacos each and we left very satisfied. Perhaps a few more non-deep fried options could be available. But I guess that’s what makes the whole experience so speedy.

Good food! Almost always a line and almost always a 20+ minute wait for food, so plan accordingly. Parking can also be difficult during busy times, so plan ahead for that as well.
They have a few gluten friendly options including three types of taco (veggie, Mahi, and shrimp). Good tacos!
This is a great place to eat while spending some time at the lovely park. Minnehaha park and Sea Salt are definitely a Minneapolis destination.

Wow, their crabcake sandwich was absolutely delicious! The ambience was of course incredible as well, sat right next to Minnehaha Falls. Will definitely need to make this a regular place to visit.

Great meal option if you're looking to incorporate the whole experience of being at the falls, listening to live music and enjoying a beverage or two while waiting in line to order food. We ordered the fish curry special in collaboration with The Curry Diva and it was fantastic. Curry came with an onion ginger chutney and a coconut chaat to sprinkle on top. Line moves fast but be sure you plan ahead, this is not a place to go super hungry as it takes time to order/receive food. Always worth it though.

I landed at Minneapolis airport and decided to have a lunch at Sea Salt. This place is amazing. Love the atmosphere. There was a really long line, so you have to wait at least 20m to order the food and about 25 m to get it. But it 100% worth it. I got Sexy Ahi Tuna burger and it was juicy and delicious. I’ll be back soon to try different dishes. Thank you ❤️

It was easy and convenient to have a cold beer and sit down for a bite after a nice walk in the park. Calamari and fried fish were a little too dry, but the condiments for dipping were very tasty. Loved the fresh wedge of lemon that made everything brighter. The crunchy and well seasoned slaw, as well as perfectly ripe melon in the fried fish basket, were additional bonuses in this beautiful setting.

The best restaurant-in-a-park I’ve ever been to. I don’t typically eat seafood, but Sea Salt consistently does it well and in a variety of culinary styles, from oysters on the half shell, fish tacos, to curries, soups, and po boys. It was my second visit, and the line was as long as ever, but the crew there works so hard and fast that it’s never been more than a 30-minute wait to order. Plus, you can grab a beer or glass of wine while you wait. Since it’s in the middle of one of the most popular Minneapolis parks, it makes for excellent people-watching.

I'm not much of a seafood person, but the veggie burger and veggie tacos were really delicious - not just compared to seafood places but to any burger/taco I've had! There was also a very nice outdoor seating area, so our large group could relax and chat and enjoy the park. The park is very nice, and perfect for a stroll to help digest the large delectable meal you just over-indulged on. We enjoyed seeing the Minnehaha Falls after lunch.

Love this place! Serves a variety of seafood, and it's very tasty. Make sure you get there early, or else you'll be in a line wrapped atound the building. I woyld have given the food 5 stars, but a lot of times they are sold out of whats on the menu. And sometimes the food is not consistent with what you've tasted before. If it's cooked one way tje first time, it may be something totally different the next time. But, overall the food is delightful.

Perfect fish tacos! Recently had subpar ones at a place that was voted ‘best fish tacos in San Diego ‘. So glad I could come home for and have an awesome taco with a Castle Danger beer to get the bad taste out of my mouth. Thank you for being consistently great. I also love the atmosphere. Mother’s Day was packed - waited over an hour in line but our family was in no rush, this was one of the best mother’s day my mother in law has ever had and the fried fish basket / crab cakes were amazing. The smells traveled all over minnehaha falls and everyone was happy and enjoying time with their family’s on mother’s day ! All the workers looked fully packed and busy -this place was not a disappointment ! Thanks for a great day sea salt ! We will all be back !

Had another delicious meal at Sea Salt yesterday. Food was hot and flavorful. Wait was short! I always go for the crab cake sandwich and it never disappoints. So while the temp was chilly and the sky looked threatening, we enjoyed our meal and the beautiful scenary of the falls.

What a pleasant surprise to find this hidden gem. A wonderful walking/bike park on a sunny day and then fabulous seafood for lunch. I would wait in line for this stuff. The shrimp are not small, done well with variety. There is also vegetarian choices.

We were visiting from Kansas City and we’re so glad we came to the falls and Sea Salt . There was a long line but it was a wonderful wait . Beautiful area , Lots of families and doggies !! We loved our food as well , we had the Fried fish, oyster Po’ boy , crab cakes and calamari!! We topped it off with the local ice cream offered there. Everything was wonderful! Coming back when we have time to bike around ❤️

Food is so-so. Largley flavorless in my opinion. Wait-time in line (25 mins) and after ordering (35 mins) is terrible. Wasps/yellowjackets hovering throughout our meal. Honestly, the only reason you eat here -- is because it's near the falls. If this place were anywhere else - it'd go bankrupt.

The food is tops, everything from Catfish to Oysters. The place is very casual, and you can enjoy the beautiful Minnehaha Falls, and it's natural beauty right here in the middle of Minneapolis. It is a treasure of Minnesota's natural beauty and history. Can't wait to visit soon.

It’s my neighborhood joint. My family goes there weekly. They know what I like to eat and drink and I don’t have to tell them and the location is beyond beautiful. Where else can you just look at a waterfall in the middle of an urban city while having a meal? Don’t like seafood? Neither do I. Get the veggie tacos.
