Can’t believe I haven’t been here before. Such a cool atmosphere. The patio looks amazing. Great to stop by for October fest. We came for my friend’s birthday and the accordion player sang to her. Such a fun unique experience.
Gute Zeiten or Good Times now and for sure in the past. Very iconic German food staple in Minneapolis. Family enjoyed the food - home made sausages were perfect and smoked right, pretzel was perfect- out of dipping cheese tho. Potato pancakes were tasty with apple sauce and sour cream. Warm German
Decent! We stopped in on a whim while walking by and were pleasantly surprised by the charming interior and tasty German dishes. Traditional German food. This place is a staple in uptown Minneapolis. Pretty tiny place so make sure you find the right time to go. Stupid warm/hot and cozy I recommend you wear shorts and a tank top even in February. Ask for Underberg after your meal;)
It was pretty busy at dinner on a Saturday evening (we had a reservation) and we weren't given beer meus initially so I was not able to order a beer because the server didn't return after we placed our orders. I loved the atmosphere of this place, as it was adorable and quant. Very peaceful and nice to be able to visit without shouting over loud music or bar noise. The food was authentic German. Attentive wait staff. If you like German, make this a destination.
I hadn't been home to MN in 15 years. When I found this treasure still open, I was thrilled. The food is top-notch, service excellent, and it felt like coming home eating at my Oma's. Just yummy, delicious meal. Next time I come home, I will stop in again.
My son enjoyed the lamb shank. Great beer selection. I want to say 4.5 for food because they ran out too early. I wanted Black Forest Cake for dessert. It was still 2 hours before closing. They carry only two desserts. All that was left was apple strudel. I went without. That is bad planning.
Well, needless to say the beverages are correct!.. German food with big bold flavored brew!!..
For those who pass on the alcohol fear not! There's something for you as well. All is comfortable and easy on your wallet.. enjoy anything on the menu! I'll be back!

Great place! Delicious food, including several things I’ve only seen in Germany. My wife and I opted to have our Sacher Torte (okay that from Vienna) and Haselnuss Torte first before our lunch and it was a great decision.
