Wakame - Minneapolis - Photo album

Very decent experience all around - I think they deserve a 3.5, but since I can’t round, I’ll go with a 4. The food was pretty good, but the service and pricing were not great. Everything pictured was about $70 after tip, and this was during happy hour. If it were not, it’d be closer to $85 or $90(
IMO this is the best happy hour in uptown! A ton of the sushi rolls and appetizers are discounted, along with $5 pours of wine! I recommend making a reservation by calling or you might wait in a long line outside. Spring through fall, they do have a patio to enjoy, too. Oh ya, and the sushi is delic
After a very long absence from Wakame the kickoff of Leo season saw us getting together with three of our favorite humans to celebrate their birthdays and a delicious Japanese dinner on a Wednesday night. From the great service by Jojo and her associate, and having skipped lunch, we wanted to try ev
Wakame has been our go-to sushi spot in Minneapolis for the last several years. They have a fantastic happy hour from 3-6pm every day, with deals on drinks, appetizers, sushi, sashimi, sushi rolls, etc. We typically order the Hot & Spicy Girl roll (shown in the photo), fresh spring rolls, seaweed sa
Big group of 8, 23-35 years old group Took about 1 hour for our food to get out. Food was good and correct just not wow! The server was new, she needs to raise her voice no one could hear her. Her service was manageable… the atmosphere was great the good display was wonderful!
One of the best sushi places, if not the best, in the Twin Cities area. I have tried majority of their sushi bar options and also specialty rolls and they are all great. They also have a happy hour when you can beat the traffic, while you can’t beat the prices! Overall, Highly recommended.
I have been looking for soft shell crab for a long time and finally found it here!!.. prepared exactly the way I remember and not to mention the sushi was spot on. Sake hot and tasty..I will be back!
Great place to get sushi. Food is always on point & the drinks are cool too. Happy hour is usually a nice time to catch drinks a little cheaper. Definitely a go to spot in the city & around the chain of lakes!!
Ordered the Rainbow platter sampler- it was great with a nice variety. Service was excellent. Drinks were fantastic. Parking may be a bit challenging when the area is busy.
This place is fabulous. Delicious food and really nice variety of options. There is way more to Japanese food than sushi! They really are running quite the operation on a busy Friday night — I had a bit of an issue with my takeout order, but not a huge deal or a regular thing I think.
