Review Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Minneapolis

Z Johnson
We went there for my birthday. We chose this place because we read a lot of great reviews. We went to a different Brazilian steakhouse before, and I think the food is not as great. The crème brulee dessert was really good. I also love the cinnamon pineapple and the fried cheese with honey. The atmosphere of the steakhouse was amazing. The service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and attentive to what we needed. The salad bar/buffet selection was great! I don't know if we just came on the wrong day, but the meats were bland, some were chewy, and not as flavorful as the other Brazilian steakhouse we went to. I will probably come back again, as I purchased holiday gift cards.

My husband and I have been enjoying Fogo De Chao for over ten years. Every time we go we have a new favorite memory and find a new favorite dish. All the meat that is served is cooked to perfection and plated per how you like it cooked. Fogo has such a great concept of how you are served. I always tell people not to over-do the salad bar so you can save room for all the different types of delicious meats they bring to your table. Even though, it is one of the best salad bars I have seen. The manager, El (I believe), was kind enough to gift my husband a gift card for a date night out that has been a rare event due to a medical issue I have. We highly recommend Fogo for date night for two or a whole family get together.

From the moment I walked into this Steakhouse, it felt like stepping into a carnival of amazing flavors. The atmosphere was saturated with the warm, savory aroma of grilled meats, instantly igniting my appetite. The buffet was beyond incredible. From fresh, crisp salads to hot, flavorful sides, it was impossible not to return for seconds... or thirds. The variety was stunning. From succulent beef to tender chicken, every piece was cooked to perfection. A standout was the grilled pineapple. Perfectly caramelized, its sweet and smoky flavor paired brilliantly with the savory meats. Yet, the gastronomic journey didn't end there. The bread and cheese served at this delightful place are equally deserving of praise. The bread was warm and freshly baked, with an outer crust that was perfectly crispy and an inside that was as soft as a cloud. Paired with their specialty cheese - smooth, rich and slightly tangy - it was an appetizer combo that was simply irresistible. With impeccable service and an inviting atmosphere, this Brazilian Steakhouse doesn't just offer a meal - it promises an unforgettable journey. This is not just a great place to dine, but a must-visit destination for all food lovers.

Update: Fogo de Chão has the best customer relations management. They have really gone above and beyond to rectify my visit. We decided to go and celebrate our anniversary here and Fogo did not disappoint! Food was amazing. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing! A far cry from our previous experience. Everything was on point and exactly what you would expect from this amazing restaurant! Fans for life!

Ruth did a very good job in explaining how their dinning works, what food and drinks are their specialty & most recommended. Leo did a very good job as well. He was kind and gave us excellent service.

My first time here but with family members that had enjoyed the experience before. We were celebrating 3 birthdays and family Christmas. We dined, drank and visited for 3 hours! The food was amazing, our main server Hudson was exceptional! My very best experience though was even though the restaurant was busy and patrons were waiting we never felt rushed! Thank you!

Aurora and Kelsey were amazing servers! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect and there isn’t a dish that I don’t recommend. 10 out of 10 experience! I have to mention again that Aurora‘s service was next level - I can’t say enough nice things about this amazing restaurant, the perfect place for my bachelor party!

We had a great meal during our trip to Minneapolis during Pride. I’ve done this style of restaurant before but never this location. This was far beyond my last experience, especially taste-wise. The meats were cooked perfectly and there were plenty of extra appetizers to choose from. For the price and quality this place is definitely worth it. Nancy was one of our servers, she made the end of our meal extra special! Thank you!

This place was such a cool experience. Having the servers walk around with the food and having to flip a card to say you wanted to be served was pretty cool. Was told though that this place had a lesser salad bar area than other Fogo's which was kind of disappointing but it's fine. If you're looking for a new type of dining experience then I would surely try this place out. The service was great,A lot of the food was great,Some of it was not to my liking but that was taste preference rather than food quality. Pricing is a little more expensive than I thought,BUT make no mistake this is a fancy restaurant! And it was surely worth the food and experience to pay that!

Blown away by the food here - the meats were cooked to perfection and the side dishes/salad bar were to die for! Such a good range of food on offer. We sat in a quiet part of the restaurant near a lot of empty tables so the atmosphere was a bit dead, however the service more than made up for this as our server, Nancy, was great and made us feel really welcome. She went above and beyond to welcome us to the city during pride weekend!

I love dining at Brazilian steakhouses on rare occasion. I wish this one would have been better. While most of the meat we got during the full Churrasco experience was decent, I got fairly tired of the temperatures of my steaks which said they were medium and were very much med-well to well done. I love lamb, but it tasted as though the lamb was just coated in lemon pepper and was overdone.<br/><br/>The sides that are available with the Churassco experience are grilled bananas, fried polenta, and mashed potatoes. The fried polenta was delicious, but the mashed potatoes were barely room temperature and very watery. I suspect if they did not have so much moisture, it would have been the texture of Elmer's glue.<br/><br/>Overall, I would say I am fairly disappointed with the food. However, the service was good.

RESTAURANT WEEK delight! We had such a great time at dinner during restaurant week I had to write a positive and glowing review of this wonderful establishment. We had an early reservation and were immediately seated by the charming manager. Right away this gave us a welcoming and warm feeling. We were greeted by each employee that we passed on our way to our table which was a terrific and professional touch. Our waitress explained the traditional table side meat service and the extensive wine and cocktail offerings. We were pleasantly surprised by the enormous salad bar. The choices were vast and exotic, everything from classic potato salad to fresh sliced prosciutto to gourmet cheeses. We could’ve made our whole meal at just the salads! But that was only the beginning, they serve warm buttery rolls, crispy polenta, and creamy mashed potatoes to the table. And the meat presentation was incredible! As soon as we turned our cards to ‘go’ the dashing Brazilian gauchos arrive and offer perfectly roasted and seasoned meats of every imagining. The juicy bottom loin is so tender you must take your delicate slice using tongs before it is even cut from the skewer. The chicken legs are a dream come true, perfectly marinated and expertly grilled. The house special is a cut of meat I’ve never had before and it was flavorful and excellent. I paired the garlic beef with the rice and black beans from the salad bar for some adventurous bites. My friend loves spice so the accommodating waitress brought her a dish of homemade chimichuri and a dish of fresh delectable horseradish. She was so overwhelmed with pure eating joy that she didn’t even look up from her plate for a good twenty minutes lol Just relishing in the unbelievable variety and awesomeness of her dinner. I enjoyed the succulent bacon wrapped chicken breast and the zesty Brazilian sausage immensely. There are so many wonderful things to say about this restaurant. There is truly something here for every taste and preference. We finished our meal with a gorgeous piece of key lime pie that was one of the best I’ve ever had. Restaurant week, or any week, this steakhouse exceeds expectations and will surely be one of your all time favorites!!!

I am so impressed with this amazing restaurant! I wanted to take my wife out for a special dinner and Fogo was the perfect choice. We are expecting our first child later this fall and my wife’s cravings are all over the board. I knew Fogo would be able to expertly deal with her tastes and desires during this delicate time. She was thrilled with the gourmet salad bar! The offerings of classic potato salad and warm seasonal soup soothed her search for comfort food. The huge variety of perfectly grilled meats filled the bill for her carnivorous side. She enjoyed the buttery bottom loin and savory bacon wrapped chicken breast. I loved the juicy lamb chops and the tender lightly seasoned filet. We shared a delicious Chilean Sea Bass with homemade mango salsa (served a la carte) and the most beautiful jumbo shrimp cocktail. I enjoyed the fine wine selection and the waiter kept her glass of sparkling water always cold and fresh. The service was very professional and excellent. We were able to use the affordable valet parking right in front of the restaurant so she didn’t have to walk too far in the drizzly weather. The dessert options were impressive, we settled on splitting a gooey scrumptious molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Truth be told I ate most of the awesome dessert because she proclaimed that she was full from indulging in too much of her favorite item.. the soft warm cheesy rolls! Lol They bring all you can eat of everything, so she zeroed in on those little buns of delight and I think she ate two baskets of them!! And that just goes to show that at Fogo you can satisfy your every culinary need and want all the time and every time!

We decided to have an adventurous Sunday brunch at Fogo last weekend. What a terrific meal!!! I indulged in my favorite fire-roasted meats such as tender filet, brightly seasoned lamb chops, and a thick hearty ribeye. The market table, which is their deluxe and extravagant salad bar, had some amazing new brunch offerings. There is a creamy Greek yogurt parfait with fresh berries and crunchy granola, a delectable zesty hash, and a savory egg bake with bright veggies and delicious Swiss cheese. Our waitress was an absolute delight, cheerful and friendly and extremely attentive. The new decor and remodel is classy and clean. The bar is now huge and the charming manager informed us about the unique and tantalizing new Bar Fogo menu items. I definitely can’t wait to return to this spectacular and indulgent restaurant. It’s always a treat and a pleasure to be so well taken care of, to have the best food in town, and enjoy it all for an incredibly reasonable price!!!

I want to send a big warm thank you to Fogo de Chao Mpls for making our ‘end of summer’ family barbecue so awesome! We decided no one should have to cook or clean after hosting our huge family, so we turned to our favorite spectacular steak place downtown. It was the perfect choice for this special gathering. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, they make you feel comfortable and right at home. And the food is terrific! There is something for everyone, including juicy steaks, savory pork, and tender chicken. There is even a vast salad bar with classic and exotic delights. Everyone was pleased and satisfied. We had a spacious table in the new beautiful expansion room, and there was easy valet parking right out front. There was rich red wine for those of us who like a fine drink with dinner, traditional Brazilian soda for the kids, and even a good variety of beers for the guys! We will definitely be making Fogo our family’s new meeting place. It’s a guaranteed great meal at an incredibly reasonable price!

I don’t usually write reviews but I wanted to take a moment and say what an incredible steakhouse we have in Fogo de Chao. I enjoyed a business lunch there last week, and I actually ENJOYED the lunch!!! The vibe is perfect for a big meeting or a cozy meal. The staff there treats you just like family, extremely welcoming and helpful. Our waitress pleasantly joked with us and made terrific recommendations for drinks. We all enjoyed the huge salad bar with exotic fruit, traditional Brazilian favorites, and classic American offerings. If you can believe it, their potato salad is the best I’ve ever tasted, and the fresh jumbo asparagus was a rare treat. I ate so many of the addictive soft savory cheese rolls, and they just kept diligently refilling the basket without hesitation. I had a fine red wine to enjoy with the rich buttery meats. And for dessert I ordered smooth sweet creme brûlée, it was so decadent and smooth I wanted to lick the bowl! I am eager to eat there again as there is so much more to experience and enjoy, I was very pleased with my meal and I know you will be too.

Fogo De Chao is always an amazing dining experience. The house special is one of the best and tastiest steaks I have ever had. We were constantly checked on to see if we needed anything else, they are all extremely attentive. We celebrate all of our birthdays here because of the flavorful and tender steaks and the phenomenal customer service we receive. There are always new and tasty side dishes that we enjoy trying. This is the best restaurant in Minneapolis for date night and even Sunday family dinners! The newly remodeled Fogo de Chao is so beautiful and modern, it has a great open space now that makes you feel so comfortable and happy to be there.

Wow. Just wow. Service was superb. The salad bar was fantastic. Hearts of palm, artichokes, olives, large shavings of Parmesan cheese. Not just a bunch of cold grocery store salads like other Brazilian grills. Probably the best lamb I've ever had.

Incredible. Not much can be said about Fogo de Chão that hasn't already been said. Waitstaff are so fast and notice coaster colors very quickly. The salad bar is great, but the assortment of meats is the best. Very fun place to go with a small group of 4 people or so.

Fogo de Chao is awesome! I was excited to enjoy a top steakhouse in Minneapolis! We had the greatest service ever! From start to finish we were treated like kings! It was our 3 year anniversary and the amazing service was perfect. We made our reservation on open table and revived 100 points which was fantastic. We were greeted by a very kind hostess with the greatest smile. She checked us in and said "happy anniversary you two" which was a very nice touch. We requested a window table which they honored very nice for sure. The server greeted us right away and the knowledge and hospitality was like something my boyfriend and I have never experienced. The server suggested the Brazilian national drink made with juicy limes and a rum from Brazil. We ordered the sensational drink and had a couple more after!! The salad bar was the first course, and what a salad bar! Giant asparagus, aged perfect cheese and meats, and the best butter nut squash soup I have ever had. The server delivered our drinks and sparkling water before we got back from the salad bar and the coolest think was is that he folded our napkins again and pulled our chairs our for us as we returned. This is not something that happens often especially for a gay couple. They made us feel so welcome and set us at ease. After we enjoyed our delicious salad and soups we stated on the meat course. At Fogo you have a little cute green and red disk, when the disk is on green the cute gaucho chefs in the little outfits serve meat to the table. They show and tell you what kind of meat they are serving you can say yes or no and the meat come and comes. It's so fun to chose the meat you want. It's like virtual ordering. Back and forth from red and green all night we dinned on the best meats I had ever had! If your looking for a place that you chose your experience and your treated like royalty as you do it then Fogo is the place for you. A special thanks to Eddie,Al and Matthew for stopping by the table to thank us for dinning with them. How many places have you had a manger not to mention 3 stop by thank us for dining and say "if everything isn't perfect let me know and I'll make sure it is" so amazing! Fogo you made our anniversary perfect and we will be back. Customers for life!! Jim and Josh.

Incredible! What an experience. I have never dined anywhere like this before. I adore the concept! I love that there isn't any waiting for anything you need. I went with my husband and two boys and the boys were so excited that they started with meat right away. My husband and I visited their amazing salad bar. They had imported meats, cheeses and vegetables. Very impressive! I couldn't get enough of their edamame salad! I told the manager how much I loved it and they gave me a recipe card so I can make it at home. <br/><br/>The service is the best I have ever seen. The servers were so great with my boys, engaging with them. Everyone looked happy to be there, especially the gaucho chefs! They come to the table and offer you a cut a meat with the biggest smile! Sometimes its hard to say no because their Brazilian accent is so charming, the next thing I know I have pork ribs when I told my husband that I was only going to have beef! The parmesan pork was a favorite of the kids. My husband feel in love with lamb chops (I think he had 8!!!) and my favorite was a cut they call the house special. It was thinly sliced and it had a little fat around the outside, it was absolute perfection! <br/><br/>The entire staff was very friendly but the manager really stood out to me. He is from Brazil and shared with us about his culture and how brazilian steakhouses started. He probably talked to us for 10 minutes and the restaurant was very busy! We felt very special and can't wait to go back!

I seriously love this place! From the minute you walk in everyone is so friendly and helpful. We arrived downtown early because we didn't realize how easy it is to park (their valet is only $10 btw!) and they sat us 20 minutes before our reservation with no problem! We were seated in a room in the back with a great view of the fire.<br/><br/>It was incredibly busy but all of the service staff was very helpful and always around when we needed them. It was like they could read our minds, they anticipated our every need! The salad bar was beautiful with homemade soups which my server said was new. My husband loved the imported cheeses.<br/><br/>As far as the meats go, everyone loves filet mignon but their house special was my favorite. The Parmesan pork was also pretty amazing. We didn't save room for dessert but our server insisted and said they give desserts for anniversaries. We tried their flan which was to die for.<br/><br/>Best anniversary ever!

I am always impressed with Fogo de Chao Mpls! The atmosphere is lively and fun. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The drinks are strong and well made. The salad bar is amazing, full of exotic choices and old-school favorites. The cheese buns are so good, buttery and soft. The gouchos cut the meat table-side, which is such a cool experience! The meat is top quality. The gouchos cook and season all cuts to perfection. Save room for dessert tho!! The dessert choices are all delicious, my favorite is the lava cake!!

This was the first time my girlfriend and I came to this restaurant. I had heard a lot about this place and was recommended here by several people. I had got on their Facebook list and they gave me a $25 off so that was pretty nice. The place here looked pretty, amazing wine cellar and decor was detailed, specially the salad bar, beautiful live flowers. All the waiters that served us that night was on point. They made sure we were both ok with drinks and food. Caipirinha, their specialty, is great by the way. When it came to the steaks, they gave us each a card that's green on one side and red on the other. So when we both flip to green, the steaks just on coming from the chefs. Great steaks, very juice and cooked really well. Sea salt on the beef is just a great combination. There was a good variety of steaks, one of my favorite was the Garlic Steak, I love garlic. I had to get multiple of that one. There was also a salad bar section where it was buffet style, smoked salmon was my favorite. Also a mozzarella cheese salad looked so good. After we were done with the steaks, we moved on towards desserts. We got the papaya cream from what waiter recommended and he even put a special note for us. I really enjoyed this place and I highly recommend coming here again. Great service, amazing staff. The hospitality is very welcoming. If you sign up for their email club, they will send a voucher for your birthday month as well. Coming back for sure and recommend this great restaurant to everybody.

My husband treated me to lunch here a couple of days ago for my birthday. I made reservations through opentable and mentioned that I was celebrating my birthday. The hostess was friendly, Once I arrived I was greeted with a nice big smile and she even mention happy birthday to me. I have to say, those little details make a lot difference to me, love the way that Fogo cares about special occasions, it was a perfect start of our Fogo experience. Once we sat down, the server was very polite, super attentive and a very good host, made us feel very comfortable. We got a couple of the new drinks just to try, the pineapple old fashion and the lavender martini, our server recommended that to us and sure he was right, super fresh and delicious. The food I can go on and on, from the colorful and fresh salad bar all the way of all the prime meats that we had, it was top of the top, beef was super juice and cooked on perfect temperature, chicken was super tender, pork and lamb was amazing as well. The best part came on the end of our meal, got the moltem cake for my birthday and it was Fantastic, even the girl that wrote happy birthday to me did an excellent job. Thank you so much Fogo to made my day, I can wait to go back and feel like a queen again, you are THE best.
Elzig1984
Great way to end a Tuesday night, from start to finish, all the wait staff were so attentive. Food was amazing, great salad bar, meats were full of flavor and the desserts was the best, moltem cake is a must try. Can't wait to go back and I recommend this steakhouse to everyone that enjoy a good steak. Best place in the Twins Cities for sure.

Fogo de Chao was not a hit with me even though I was really excited to try it. I felt it was overpriced for the quality of food and it just wasn't my thing but I could see where a lot of others would like it

Oh my goodness an orgasm on a plate for meat lovers! The service is always excellent and the food temps are spot on. If your sides get cold they replace them promptly. They have added a few new meat selections for example the citrus chicken Breast. Oh my it's so tender and juicy delicious. If your still hungry after the meat orgy the Papaya desert is a must have it helps you digest all the meat you just ate. This is a must try place!! Oh don't forget about the incredible salad bar they always have a new dish or two on there as well.
Marc
Not worth it. Better meats at Applebee. Slow service. Poor layout hard to get to salad bar and bathrooms because tables too close together they pack it in 2 people one drink and one ice tea $130.00 wow.
David J.
Fogo de Chao is a family fave; I'll be taking my son for his birthday next week for the umpteenth year in a row. The service is nearly always exemplary, and the selection of meats is unparalleled. I'm not a huge fan of all the offerings (I generally pass on the pork loin, bacon-wrapped chicken and a couple others), but the beef, especially our favorite style, the Picanha, is great. We also tend to go through a few serving plates of the polenta, mashed potatoes and carmelized bananas. I wish it weren't quite so pricy, but we tend to go for lunch which is significantly more affordable.<br/><br/>Kudos to a truly remarkable chain; this one and two others we've gone to have been consistently memorable.

I had the ultimate disappointing evening at Fogo last night in MN and was so disappointed I felt you deserve to have this shared - I've visited Fogo in Chicago, Las Vegas, Dallas and here in Minneapolis many times with clients and have taken team members and my wife to the various restaurants. I believe last night was the last a two+ hour snore fest that was nothing short of disappointing.<br/><br/>I was at Fogo with my three teenage kids and wife. We'd decided it would be a fun evening for the kids to experience the Gauchos running around and serving wonderful meats. Unfortunately our evening ended in tears, fights and anything but good memories. The issues ranged from meat quality well below what I would expect to service that would be considered bad at an Applebees. <br/><br/>Started off on an uneven foot: After being seated I was handed the wine menu and told the waiter I wanted to look it over to make a selection. However, after waiting 10- min for him to return I just had us go to the salad bar. After completely finishing this portion of the meal I was still holding the wine menu and signaled multiple times to order wine, only to be finally availed much later. We were given new plates promptly which was the one expeditious thing about the meal. Having done that it took several minutes when the cards were green for the first Guacho to show up. OK, fair enough three or four gauchos swarmed for a few minutes and we were off. Except the meat quality was really subpar (constant event throughout the night, not sure if you guys are cutting food costs or what, but the meet was stiff, stringy and just not grade A). One of the gaucho's slipped and brushed a large stain across my shirt - with an 'oops' as the only comment of apology. With the first few pieces consumed we flipped cards back to green, except this time no Gauchos actually stopped. Many ran past us, but none stopped. Eventually the Filet Mignon showed up so we grabbed that, but of course were hoping for more. My Daughter in particular specifically wanted to get Chicken. So I grabbed one of the waiters, a gaucho and eventually two more waiters and asked if they could send that and the ribeye. Each seemed to suggest that they would, but there we sat. All the while my daughter, myself and one of my sons has the cards green but for 15 minutes no gauchos stopped. At this point my youngest son decided he'd just be done and he and my wife started to get seriously bored. Eventually the first waiter showed up and asked if we needed anything to which I told him "nobody has been by since we last spoke". Some 5+ minutes later the Gauchos were finally directed our way and we were finally able to grab some additional food. By which point three of our five plates had been removed because several family members had just given up, so of course we eat quickly and hoped to at least call it a night. Our plates were removed and then we sat. After 15-20 more minutes of waiting for the check I was nearly about to just walk out and try to pay at the reception desk but my wife got up and tracked down assistant manager Jay Miller and let him know we'd been waiting so long. He brought us the check and offered his apologies and brought us two cheesecakes and a couple chocolate mouse to try to make it right (I guess five us were intended to spit the 4 of them).. in any event by this point it was just too little too late and we finally left the restaurant almost 2 1/2hrs after we'd entered, one of our sons actually crying because he was so frustrated. <br/><br/>At this point, having sat so long from when kids stopped eating to actually leaving the ride home was punctuated with fights - which aren't entirely your doing I get, but as you can imagine the only memory my kids will have of your restaurant are anything but positive. <br/><br/>For what it's worth - at the very least you should retrain your gauchos on their 'search pattern'. Our seats on the middle of the south wall may just have not been where their eyes searched. I don't know. It was just not a great night.<br/><br/>Disappointed,
J.pass
Food OK - Service not so much. On a positive note the food was good and the company enjoyable. Service was not good. Waiters forgot several requests, waitress need two prompts and 15 minutes to bring an after dinner drink menu, deserts took over 20 minutes to arrive and this was when the restaurant was less than half full and winding down for the night. Another disappointment was when we did order our $15 shots of port they were out of our request and made no attempt to accommodate. For a supposed "High End" establishment the service was very disappointing.

Outstanding Experience!. As so many others have said, dining here is an outstanding experience. The staff are well-informed, friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and varied. Enjoy the wide variety of meats as well as the salad bar - as my waiter said, the key is to pace yourself. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Fo-GO. I have been a few times over the years and each time I go I am less impressed. The greeters are always rude. The table staff is wonderful, polite, helpful, friendly etc. The meat is all that really gets me, the side dishes and salad bar is less then what I would expect for the price per person. I would recommend it for the experience only.

Keep it comin'!. The service was outstanding. Comfortable atmosphere. The waiters are swift and careful. The food is amazingly good. I personally love the top sirloin steak. I have not a single bad word to say about Fogo de Chao in my 4 times of eating there. I absolutely love it!
Poutine Connoiseur
AMAZING. First time visiting Minneapolis and I chose this restaurant for mine and my bf's anniversary dinner and I thought the service is here PHENOMENAL! I've never experienced such great service from a restaurant before. From the beginning of our night till the end. They've recommended for us to try a few other places in the city and we did. I am still in awe of how great they all were. The food is really wonderful and a lot to choose from. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

After the wait to get seated the food and service was great. I would recommend this place to my closest friend but remind them to bring there walet

Absoultely Fantastic!!. Flip your coaster to the green side and watch the rivers of meat start flowing. This is truly an all you can eat steakhouse, as long as your coaster is on the green side someone will stop at your table every 15 seconds with an incredible cut of meat. I tried 10 -12 cuts out of the 17 options and every one was cooked to perfection. The salad bar is one of a kind. I wish I had a bigger stomach to enjoy everything on the salad bar, but essentially we went there to eat the meat. Don't forget about the caramelized bananas! Fogo was in my top two for dining experiences in the Twin Cities

I loved it, best steakhouse I've been too. On par with Ruth's Chris quality wise. Very attentive waiters and kept the meat coming! Salad bar was awesome too

Even though I am not a big meat eater.... I have always wanted to try Fogo de Chao. When I saw that it was up for Restaurant Week (a bi-annual event done by Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine that showcases our Minnesota food scene) my brother and I thought it would be a great chance to go being neither of us could really afford the normal asking price (dinner is half price during restaurant week). When we walked in, Fogo was PACKED! We had made a reservation for 7:00 but had to wait a little while because they were a little behind, but that was completely understandable with the nature of the restaurant and the mass of the crowd. When our pager finally buzzed, we were brought in to the belly of the beast, the dining room. There were people everywhere! Yet despite the masses, the employees still maintained a sense of "don't worry , we got this all under control" demeanor as they buzzed around taking orders, delivering meals and clearing plates. When there was a span of time where my brother and I had our coins turned to green, yet it had been a little while since anyone had offered us meat, two different servers came over to check if there was anything in particular we wanted, and within minutes 3 different cuts of meat were brought to our table. The salad bar was unlike any I had ever seen, roasted beats, smoked salmon, asparagus, marinated mushrooms, mozzarella ... simply amazing! Then there was the meat, I tried the lamb chops and chicken thighs, both of which were wonderfully tender, moist and full of flavor. My brother had almost an entire farm on his plate by the end of the evening with the wide variety of meats he consumed. We both ate to our hearts content and then some! Overall it was a wonderful dining experience and the people over at Fogo really have their system down pat.

Feel Like a Queen. Whenever we go to Fogo I always feel like a queen with the service we get. I usually get very little at the salad bar, I'm there for the meat and sides. Love the warm cheese bread. Whenever someone asks me for a gift idea I tell them a Fogo gift card. Can't go wrong with that gift in my eyes. I love the filet Mignon, no bacon. I eat my meat well done and each time I go they make sure I get meat well done. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT.

Great Food, Amazing Service. My family ate at Fogo de Chao a few weeks ago to celebrate a birthday. Our server was fantastic - we had such a great experience. The salad bar was great, the meat was delicious, and again all of the servers were prompt, and polite. They also gave us a complimentary dessert for the birthday! :) What a great night. I would definately recommend this as a fun treat!

If you can afford to go.... You will likely remember this as one of the best dining experiences you have ever had, even if you're a Michelin Star Junkie/Daddy Warbucks type. Stop screwing around and go. It's amazing, if perhaps a bit loud.

Service Beyond Belief. 1st time there tonight and our table wasn't quite ready when we got there. So we made ourselves comfy at the bar with Greg who made us 2 terrific drinks. As soon as we were sat down, our server Josie came over and explained how everything worked. Then the meat onslaught began. One succulent cut after another. Offers of meat came from servers and the staff was extremely attentive. I don't think I have ever had such tremendous service at a restaurant. Well done Fogo de Chao - you'll certainly see me again!

You get what you pay for. Really good salad bar, but who the heck goes there for the salad bar. If you are not a carnivore, don't waste your time there. It's pricey but man is it worth it. All types and variety of meats from lamb chops, to sausage, to steaks, to well MEAT. My advise, if you want the fogo de chao experience but not the price, go on Restaurant Week or go during lunch time.

Carnivore's Heaven. I love everything about this place. The decor is very nice, the waiters/servers are extremely polite and attentive even though they're running around everywhere, and the cuts of meat are wonderful of course. Also for a place that is known for steak, they still make an effort at making the salad bar and other non-meat items presentable, fresh, and delicious. <br/>I recommend getting a reservation especially if you're making it a special occasion. Also some meats may taste saltier than others.
Kristin
We went here for lunch today and it was delicious. Everyone says not to even go to the salad bar because you get too full, but I think a few veggies in the mix was good. I can't say it's the most amazing meat I've ever had, but I think this place is more about the experience. My boyfriend loved it and they offered a free dessert for his birthday. The service was impeccable!!!! I would say that was the biggest plus about this place. We would definitely go back!
Lando
You have to try this place. I went here with a few higher up coworkers for a company diner. it was great the food was awsome, service was good. but the bill is not cheap was around 50 dollars a person not including drinks. but its worth it. a cool experience. I would recomend it to anyone to try at least once. maybe more but its not cheap. i would give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
Jean
Great restaurant!. We go here for a special date a few times a year. It is expensive $50 per person but they do 1/2 price lunches. It is all you can eat, fine dining. Salad bar is awesome and everyone is very polite. I remember my first time I went here I turned my card over to green and was only able to eat a bite or two before I would get a different meat come over, My plate was full of maybe 6 or 7 different kinds in just a few moments after the 6th or 7th one I like rushed to flip my card over to red so I could enjoy the meat in front of me. It was so funny. We would recommend this place to anyone.

SUPERB!!!!. Delicious food, superb service. The salad bar, well I wouldn't call it that, consist of fresh delicious gourmet salads, cheeses, veggies. But don't eat too much of that. Save room for the filet mignon wrapped in bacon and other fabulous bbq meats on skewers that servers bring to your table if your coaster is on green! The lime drink is delicious too if you prefer a non-alcoholic beverage. Great dining experience worth every cent. Love love this place but you better be HUNGRY!
Chris
Green More Red Stop. I have been here several times before and have always had a great experience. The salad bar alone is worth the trip and if I recall, you can get a salad bar only meal. For those who have never been here it is an all you can eat Brazilian style steak house restaurant. The selections of food on the salad bar are always fresh and delicious. I am a big fan of the heart of palm and the asparagus as well as cheese selections. If you are vegan you have wide selections. For you carnivores the bowl of bacon strips next to the Cesar Salad will win you over. Now for the main course. The servers walk around with the fresh cooked meats on their spits (looks more like knives to me and I am sure there is a term for these) and all you do is turn over the card on your table, green side up means I want more and red side up means to hold off. The servers are always friendly and offer you the wide selection of their goods. As a friend said, how can you go wrong at a restaurant with hot men serving you meat? My favorite is the Pichanha (Top Sirloin). I like the seasoning but some may prefer the light version which does not have as much garlic and salt rub. Another great specialty is the Lombo (Pork Loin) which is crusted in Parmesan cheese. The best way to enjoy is to try a little of everything and then get seconds on what you really like. Yes, you may call it expensive but it is worth it for a nice evening.

My favourite place. I love all the cheeses & meats (chartussiere?) on the salad bar. Love the salads. I think this place is so fun. We first went here in San Paulo, Brazil and were so excited that there was a Fogo De Chao in Minneapolis. I enjoy the BBq meats on the skewers. We had to bring our baby daughter, and they were very kind (although for once she was well behaved) and brought her a special cup of water w/o asking.... i think it was some kind of straw cup. My favourite restaurant in the whole world. I wish they had one where we live!
Kimberly
The price is too high for meat & salad bar option. Overpriced but good.
FoodLover
Love this place. I took my husband here for a Special occasion, He loved it. Great food and the experience is worth it.
MJMac
My husband and I went here for his birthday lunch, because it is less expensive and not as busy during that time. The salad bar and meat were delicious! The side dishes seemed like they were made from a box. My advice is to skip the sides and to have more room for the meat. Wonderful service! Will go back.
Ezzy
FOGO DE CHAO. Fogo De Chao has great food and respectful employees. They have the best meat ever!!!! My friends want to go so bad, because i tell them how good service you have. My cousins love your food. The fact that you guys are respectful, nice, responsible and you have made my top number one restraunt ever. I never was so treated as nicely as you guys treat us. I want to say thanks to all the employees and I will be coming soon!!! thanks!!!! :)

For occasional use only. The meat alone might be worth the price. Might have been the best lamb chops I've ever had, and I'm 63. Service great. Salad bar very good, too, even the potato salad. Only minor complaint might be the potato, polentra sides, a bit too salty.<br/><br/>Trouble is, it's much too rich and high fat to make it a regular destination even if you can afford it. But as a treat, absolutely.
Tracerino
Only good if you're ready to protein O.D. On red meat. Not being a huge red meat eater, I wish I would have been warned before spending $80 here. The meat I did try wasn't impressive. The salad bar, which always gets raved about, also bad. The sides of polenta, bananas and potatoes are halfway decent, but don't make up for lackluster main courses.
Jack
Another great experience, unbelievable wait staff and food just as good. Really like having valet when its this cold.
Leah Lovetto
The Best Restaurant Ever!!!!!!. I love the meat. There steak was the best I have ever eatin. You have to try this place=)

To die for... Worth every penny and every pound!

Amazing!. There are some great reviews here. Take the top 10, and insert them here!! Absolutely love everything about it.
Tim
Painfully Delicious!. It's almost impossible to stop eating. The food is phenomenal and the service is even better. An amazingly unique dining experience. Just don't take any vegetarians with you!
Nsg
I absolutely love this place. There so much meat it makes you want to try all of it. Besides the meat there is also the salad bar which is pretty good. I also love the different sodas from different countries.
Jaredsimon43
Worth it.... ...if you have some extra cash and are in the mood for a unique experience and A LOT of awesomeness!
Renee18
Pricey but DELISH!. This place is def a place to go if you are not short on the cash... however.. it is SO good that you soon forget the hole in your wallet.... SO good.. and when i save up enough again... haha I will go back! If your short on the cash - go for lunch versus dinner.. its cheaper and just as good!

I'm Moving to Brazil. If this is what a Brazilian steakhouse is supposed to be, I'm moving! You're given a coaster, one side red, the other side green. The concept is simple - green side up for more meat and red side down if you'd like to take a break.<br/>The service is top notch with a main server watching your table for drinks and any special orders. You get unlimited salad bar and a variety of sides. <br/>The servers with the meat entrees roam the restaurant with several high quality cuts meat including filet mignon, top sirloin, ribeye, bacon wrapped filet & chicken, lamb, pork ribs, and sausage. <br/>Amazing meal, it's always been a top notch experience here. The only caveat - vegetarians or those with light appetites may want to pass.

Best Of Brazil in Minneapolis. I lived in Brazil for some time, so I was so excited when Fogo opened. I can't say it's exactly the same as it was at the little churrascarias I was used to in Brazil, but it is by far the best churrascaria I have been to in the U.S. <br/>Service has always been great and food always spectacular. <br/>This restaurant and dining experience is one of only a few dozen of times throughout the year that I eat red meat, and I go here just for the opportunity for it. <br/>Big tip though, cost is pretty pricey (but worth it), however, you get the absolutely exact same thing in product, service and quality for 20.00 less per person if you dine at lunch.<br/>I love FOGO and so has every person I've ever introduced to it.
Rosco
Outstanding. This is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. the salad bar is the creme de la creme of food. It is really more a cold bar as salad bar doesn't do it justice.<br/><br/>The rib eye was perfection. <br/><br/>It was crazy busy so, we will return when it is slower to really absorb everything.
Jerry Blackwell
Great fun if anything. Above average food and it's a fun place to take or meet a group. Service is excellent! Expensive but nice one to three times a year for the average person... try to schedule a work meeting there lol.
Erin
Worth the $ and the wait!. We made reservations for Valentine's day to go here as we had heard rave reviews from friends! Our reservation was at 7 but we were seated a bit later, but they sat us in the bar and brought these delicious cheese rolls until our table was ready. The staff was so quick and gracious as soon as we sat down! The salad bar is equally delicious as all the meats, especially the smoked salmon! The meats and side dishes were so flavorful and worth every penny! We definitely cannot afford to go here all the time but I do see myself going back-SO GOOD!
Ronald2002
Tasty!. I was there for lunch, and I enjoyed it very much. Their service is one of the best I have ever seen. It is very popular, sometimes there is a line. The price is well worth it because the quality of all-you-can-eat steak there is incomparable to other restaurant at that price. You would be paying WAY over $20 for one piece of steak at other restaurants where you as much as you want at Fogo. And also, there is a HUGE fresh salad bar that has everything that you can imagine. <br/><br/>Street parking, but they do have valet service too. Highly recommended, you have to try it out. Once you go there though, you will keep going.
Mngunns
Come hungry. This is a brazilian style steakhouse that offers up loads of meat as the main attraction. When seated you get a token that is green on one side and red on the other. When you have the green side up, you will be bombarded with meat. When you have the red side up, they will not bring you any meat. You can put the green up as many times as you want. The service when i have gone was fast and friendly. The meats were about what you can expect from this type of place. Pretty good for the most part, but not necessarily top shelf. Go for lunch, same basic concept for half the cost!
JennyGreene
Great fun. This is a fun place to stop when I'm in town. The food comes non stop until you tell them to leave you alone. Overall the quality is decent (maybe not FINE dining?). Servers are friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and hip. Great salad bar too!
Lina
Amazing Service. Took my meat eating boyfriend and some friends out for his birthday and had a blast. It started out bad, we had resv @ 7:00 and did not get seated till 8:30. It was so packed in the waiting area, I felt like I was at a concert-people pushed up against each other. People were yelling that they have been waiting forever, even with resv. When we did get seated, it was all up hill from there. The manager gave a $50.00 gift card to each couple(there was 3) to say sorry for the wait. The service was ON IT, we never waited for anything after we got seated. They always had a smile on all their faces and nothing seemed to much to ask for.<br/><br/>Though, I don't eat meat, I found the salad/cheese bar to be amazing and very filling. My bf & friends said the meat ranged from good to amazing-non bad. Non of the food seemed to be re-hated nor did any thing seem though it was from a box.<br/><br/>Though, it was SUPER expensive(the cards were for next visit) I would for sure go back for the salad bar/service alone.
Carrie
Great night at Fogo!. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The service was super attentive, from the coat check to the busboys. The food was excellent. The place was bustling but our waiter took the time to check in with us regularly. When he found out it was my boyfriend's birthday, he brought out a complimentary flan with the words "Happy Birthday" scrawled across it. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Mikehunt
Mmmmm meat. The only place where i enjoy stuffing my holes with meat
Cassie Cheri
Sooooooooo good. Enough said. They are on top of their game there.
Walt
Lots of variety. Our dining here was quite the experience. The salad bar is large and almost good enough to choose for the entire meal. The number of meat cuts they offer you makes for a filling dinner. When you have your green sign up asking for meat be ready for an onslaught. Keeping up is impossible ;P
Michael.vourakes
Excellent. First class food. First class service. Better than Copacabana in Toronto.
David Cosio
Go for lunch! Fogo is an amazing restaurant, and all of these reviews are spot on. .. That said, save yourself some money and go for lunch! Same Meat same salad bar, half the price. Is it more romantic at night? Of course. Do you have more than three hours to gorge on delectable goodness? Yes. But is all that worth twice the coin? That is up to you.
Lee
Great Sides Bar. The bar of side items and cheese is awesome. The atmosphere is nice. Some of the meat was not well seasoned and a bit greasy but a couple of the options were really good (not sure which they were). The staff is well trained to keep dropping dishes of mashed potatoes on your table to keep you full on anything but meat. Overall fun place and above average food.
Lakeviller
I ate like a KING. We stopped in for lunch, and after a brief stint at the salad bar, I was served up with 9 chefs waiting in line, each with the BEST cuts of meat, including all you can eat Filet Mignon and Lamb!
Kim Franklin
Meat, meat, meat!. For this carnivore, it was a dream come true! I've never eaten anywhere like Fogo and can't wait to go back. All of the meat I tried was seasoned and cooked just right. It's out of my price range, but I don't regret spending the money for an amazing dinner. I'll be saving my pennies to go back again.
Mnlakeplace
Steak. I went there with my family great food more than we can eat thats for sure. We left very full and recommend this place.
Ergshan
It isn't that the meat is bad.... It is the price that is disturbing. Okay, so I enjoyed some parts of this dining experience and others I can do without. I thought that the salad bar was pretty good for a buffet. There wasn't anything that stood out that I would have to try again. I had a glass of wine that was pretty average and it was almost 16 dollars, which of course it said nothing about the price on the menu. The meat is pretty good. Like many people have said the filet wrapped in bacon is good. Personally, there is no way I ate even close the $50 worth of meat. I am used to fine dining and spending a good amount of money when I go out, however, I would much rather go to a steak house and get filet wrapped in bacon with shrimp and a salad and dessert than spend $50 on meat.
Keith Murphy
Quite the (expensive) experience. I really enjoyed my meal at Fogo tonight. It's a totally different restaurant. You'll get your drinks, and visit the salad bar. Later on the meat-fest begins. My personal favorite was the bacon-wrapped fillet mignon. The bottom cut was a close second. You have to enjoy trying new things to go here. It is quite expensive. I'd say this is the sort of place you'd go to quite rarely (eg birthdays, etc). Also it's best to bring folks that are interested (and willing) to try a variety of things.
OneBigJay
Very Enjoyable!. I have really enjoyed every visit I have made to Fogo! BUT, one must note - to be a true frugal Minnesotan - you should only go for lunch! Their only major downside is the pricing, and the lunch and supper menus are the same, but the lunch price is HALF of the supper pricing. BEYOND the money - this place is a blast if you are looking for a Fun Time! This is the place to go for drinks, friends, and lots of food! All get together and have - FUN! I do believe the food to be above most people's norm. The salad bar is a bit more pleasing to the eye, than the stomach, meaning it looks like more than you end up putting on your plate. And I enjoy the little side orders they bring to you about as much as the meats. The fried bananas (plantains) - lets argue - are totally delicious! The fried cheese is very worth noting also! And then there's the GO card and the meat begins. WOW! You must learn to take 2 or 3 selections and then stop and enjoy - while each is still hot and succulent, so you don't end up with a mountain of 7 or 10 different items getting dried up and cold while you attempt to blow out you stomach! Just finish your 2 or 3 and then GO green again for a couple more! PACE YOURSELF and make the entire experience much more FUN and enjoyable!! As my best, lifelong buddy proclaimed after about 4 drinks and the salad bar, and the young Brazilian boys started slicing at our table, "Hey, this is like a freakin' Meat Tsunami!" And that would make a great advertising slogan for Fogo!!<br/><br/>Go to have some great food, served in a unique fashion, maybe with a few cocktails and HAVE FUN!!<br/><br/>P.S. "Anything wrapped in bacon is awesome!" - Homer Simpson

Great Experience. I love this place. They treated us like royalty. Staff was well informed about the food they serve and I was able to get my meat cooked the way I like it. If you want to be spoiled and waited on hand and foot this is the place to go. Also recomend their deserts and the lime drink made with cachaca. Best cappuchino in town too. I will be back again.
Charles M.
Simply AWESOME! The food was great, the service was wonderful. I went with a small group(5 people) and we had a blast! We ate until we couldn't move, then ordered desert! I assure you we are looking forward to trying the other locations around the country. My compliments to the chefs. Bravo to the entire staff.
Raheim Saiid
Simply AWSOME!!!! The food was great, the service was wonderful. It was my girlfriend and I first time attending and I assure you it won't be the last. It was everything I expected and more. My compliments to the chefs..... Bravo to the entire staff.

Event!. Fun place for a special occasion. Liked the variety of meats. excellent salad bar. We had the earliest reservation time because of theater tickets so the salad bar that you go to first had a long line and a few items were being refilled. attendents were on top of it but we did miss a couple things we would have tried. but don't worry, we got enough to eat. ; D. loved the polenta, potatos, bread and meat, meat, meat. all tender and tasty. everyone has different favorites. Fun place.
Dan G
I like it, but.... Fun place to try, but I've gone three times now and I think it's kinda lost its appeal. The only meats I really love are the bacon wrapped filets and chicken. There is something about their lamb that I can only eat so much of. The price is the major sticking point to me though. Even though its all-you-can-eat, it's still too expensive.
Nancy
Fun place. We love to go in here for loads of food. They serve you meats until you are ready to explode, and although it isn't like eating a filet mignon they are all very tasty. Dont go here unless you're starving!
Evangelist Myles
Excellent. This place is top notch. The environment is upscale and the food (meat especially) is delicious. I think some of the side dishes could be changed to correspond with the high class meats they serve. Otherwise I think it is an excellent fun place to go and a definite treat as it is spendy.
Bailey
This is the best restraunt I've been to in a long time. The service is the best.plus it's all you can eat,so first you get all u can eat salad bar, then you get a card that's one side red, when it's red they don't give you any meat, but when you turn it green they give you all you can eat meat like steak, parmashan incrusted chicken, ect.and it's in the heart, and all the excitment of downtown Minneapolis
Steve.gagnon
Bad management. Had a reservation for 8:30 for a party of 8. After waiting for an hour to be seated we lost our patience and went somewhere else. Not going back.
Kelly
A hot spot to be!. I've noticed lots of mixed opinions about the meat, but when I went it was delicious. I brought my boyfriend there for his birthday last year and we had to wait 45min or so for our table (even with reservations) but that was because a large group (of 50 or so) had been there forever and wouldn't leave to open up the tables. Once we got to our table we were immediately given wonderful sides of mashed potatoes, some sort of fried potato (like a really thick french fry) and something else..Anywho, they never let your drink/sides go down to half.<br/><br/>I felt the meat was fantastic, they have meat ranging from filets to lamb and everything in between. It's a great way to try all sorts of different meats at one price. Granted, $80 (or so) is expensive, but when you look at the meats and how much you eat, it's not too bad.<br/><br/>But, a great thing I'd like to add is that since it was my boyfriends birthday they gave us a free dessert of our choice and his drink was free. So that was pretty excellent.<br/><br/>All in all, I would recommend trying this place if you're in town, especially since it's in a pretty awesome location around downtown nightlife!
Mrgreen5
Go there once.. Some what over priced. All the meat tastes the same. Can be FUN with fam and friends.
Tamer Azzazi
This is it!. Great food (Read Meat) The best service I have EVER experienced in ANY restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go there for lunch - same food as dinner for half the price. I wont go int details since I am sure others have but I try to make it there 2-3 times a month. Going to a steak place is sometimes tricky - what cut of meat to get? How do you want it cooked? is this over / under done? this place provides a solution to all these problems. Try a little bit of everything and find your own favorite - you CANT go wrong
Sovietpanda
A Complete Waste of Money. I am having trouble understanding how anyone can take Fogo de Chao seriously. I guess operating under the pretense of having a gourmet experience (and over-charging a ton) is all it takes to convince some people that this actually is a gourmet experience. How anyone can show up there on a date or in a group, and keep a straight face while stuffing their face, is beyond me.<br/><br/>I can think of a thousand better ways to spend money on food. Going to an actual steakhouse for a quality steak comes to mind, which would mean better food, and still a better price. Want to try a variety of meats? Try the mixed grill at the Butcher Block. You'll get more than enough food to fill you up, all quality meat and cooked exceptionally, and it will only run you $17.<br/><br/>Not that all the meat at Fogo is terrible. Some of it doesn't suffer from being over-spiced or dried out. But with the price-tag, it just flat-out makes more sense to go to an actual steakhouse for an enjoyable meal. $50 will get you so much more anywhere else!<br/><br/>Also, it's definitely worth-noting that the salad bar is awful. After reading reviews, I was expecting something exquisite. Here, exquisite equates to fundamentally poor-quality versions of some typically high-class items, like bone dry mozzarella, strange "gourmet" choices like pearl onions and sauteed peppers, and then a puzzlingly limited selection of completely sub-par vegetables and salads. You would absolutely get a better pick from a salad bar at Whole Foods or Kowalski's, and again, it would cost less. Of course, a trip to the salad bar means you haven't filled up on the rolls they serve you first, which, as far as I could tell, were just an ultra dense mix of dough, butter and egg.<br/><br/>Ultimately, the place succumbs to the rule of any buffet, which is quantity over quality. The waitress told us with a smile that she had seen people get sick and have to be carried out of the restaurant. A true mark of fine dining!
Parris Curren
If Fogo has any cons it would be pricing. The food is absolutely wonderful. I've read reviews saying food was not good or average. Coming from someone who eats at steakhouses once a week I would strongly disagree! Nothing is bad tasting. Fogo is the place to go for steak. The house special is my fav.
Foodlover
Can't enjoy a buffet!. The flavor of the meats are great, but I lost my appetite watching people dig through the buffet for salads and sides.
Cclaudia
Great food. I wasnt sure what to expect when my friend suggested this restaurant. I was really surprised how good the salad bar was. Its not the traditional midwest salad bar its more european in selections and i was in heaven. Then when the meat came out and i loved the lamb chops and the bacon wrapped filet mignon, they were small but perfect size so you can get more meat ! Granted the price was high but for a nice dinner and different experience , give it a try.
Muffin Pam
Slammin' hot Brazilian men put their meat on your plate. This place is amazing.

Not My Fovorite. I was there with my colleagues last night. If you want to burn close $70 per head with their steak and salad buffet plus few drinks for pretty weird tasting food this would be your place. For such a high price I expect top notch food and ambiance which it lacks both. They can neither pull off contemporary nor classic ambiance. All you see is walls of wines stacked in the name of decor and the place is pretty crowded. To do back and forth to salad bar from your table you have to tackle maze of tables and people heads with your plate full of food. No beer on tap neither any great selections on bottle - only your usual with Heinekens and Coronas at most. Salad bar is nothing special. But their much touted meats and steaks were the most disappointment. If you ask me it tasted down right wired. It does not tastes like it came off the grill - which it is not I later found out. They are supposedly cooked in open fire but that does not bring out the flavor of the meat. With a prime cut beef you can't go much wrong in your average grill even with just salt and pepper. But that is not the case here - like I said it tasted very different. May be you need to acquire this sort of taste or visit Brazil to get an appreciation. Pork ribs were the worst in my view. Go ahead and try it if you think I making this up. Lamb chops with some mint flavoring were a saving grace. Me and my colleagues both agreed that their cheese bread puffs they bring out at the beginning of the meal with drinks as an appetizer (for free) were the best tasting items. Again - sorry if I was too harsh on my review. In mid-west we just pay for anything and play nice.
