Review Sebastian Joe's Ice Cream Cafe - Minneapolis

What a Gem joint for Ice cream. I try the Lemon Sorbet and was delicious. Exactly the way should be, a fresh and natural flavor. My daughter try the Oreo ice cream and was also very good, a lot of cookies inside. Price higher than a Dairy Quuen, but you will not get the flavors than you will find here.

I tried their dolce caldo and it was... different lol. It was kinda like a waffle cone in theory but used two halfs of what I believe is a potato bun in a waffle press? The ice cream in the middle was still cold and the bun was warm on the outside. The bun wasn't too absorbant so when the ice cream does melt, its a disaster waiting to occur. I'd probably pass on it next time. They have lots of fun flavors that rotate. I tried their hibiscus and I really liked it! I think their Pothole flavor is a bit overrated. It tastes like chocolately chocolate. Maybe people are into that, I'm not lol. Staff can be a hit or miss. Some are super nice and enthusiastic, others look like they just want to go home. Overall a good experience.

I am an ice cream lover, and Sebastian Joe’s did not disappoint. The Oreo tastes just like that vs. Cookies and cream and the raspberry chocolate chip was to die for. Creamy, but with a strong and little bit tart raspberry flavor. Will definitely be back the next time I’m in the Twin Cities.

The Nicollet pothole is my favorite. They have so many unique flavors and I really enjoy stopping here on a hot summer day. I highly recommend.

They have a great selection of ice cream, some unique flavors. Friendly employees that work quickly and are patient. It is a welcoming environment with lots of seating, both indoors and out. The prices are reasonable.

I had the best iced caramel macchiato today. They do have great ice cream but they are my new walk to coffee place now also! So authentic and good!

i was recommended this place by a friend who had great reviews about this place ! a single scoop was about $5 and i’m pretty sure it was the flavor i ordered (vegan strawberry) but it honestly just tasted alright to me (like not in a bad way but to me, it isn’t worth driving 30 minutes to have). sebastian joes does however such a cool interior design and i love the feel it brings. another thing to keep in mind is that the bathroom needs a code but i’m pretty sure if you ask the staff, they’ll give it to you ! this place also has outdoor seating :)

It's a must stop on every visit to the twin cities. Their ice cream is wonderful. So many options and flavors including those for vegans. I have been coming here for many years and will continue as long as the doors are open.

This place was amazing. Some of the best cookies n cream ice cream I've had in my life (Oreo is the flavor name); I think they blend Oreos into the actual ice cream, in addition to crumbling and folding them in. There were a TON of cool flavor combos to choose from. I highly recommend looking them up in advance before coming in and having a list of what you'd like to sample ready. When we got there, there were 30 or so people waiting in line (for good reason). The staff is good at ensuring people are coming through the line at a decent pace. Bathrooms are for paying customers only; you must ask the staff for the door code. They sell take-home pints and Oreo ice cream sandwiches (chocolate chip cookies for the outsides). We ordered a macchiato and didn't realize until we left that we had received just a cup with some Espresso in it, which was the only downside to our visit. But we think the employee might've been newer. Will definitely be coming back.

Yum! I've been coming to Sebastian Joe's for years now and it is consistently the same quality of ice cream, not to mention delicious. They offer ice cream, baked desserts and coffee items. One scoop of ice cream is $4 and two is $5.40 and three is $6 some. The flavors rotate and there are seasonal flavors as well. I came in last night during the snow storm (very Minnesotan of me) with my family. I got the Nicollet Ave. Pothole ice cream, which was delicious. I'm craving it again just thinking about it. They tend to be open late especially in the summer. Conveniently located in Uptown in Minneapolis and near Lake of the Isles.

We both enjoyed the ice cream very much, albeit a bit pricey, but in my opinion, worth it! They have a very nice dining area and lots of options for treats to get.

One of the best ice cream joints in Minneapolis. Definitely try their dolche something. I don't remember the name. But it's ice cream between the bun. It's hot on the outside and cold on the inside.

These guys don't need my review-but I need to leave it! The hibiscus ice-cream and their passion-fruit sorbets and everything in between, to say favorable is an understatement- amazingly delicious!!! I look forward to going again and again!

This is definitely one of the best local ice cream cafes in town. They are open late in the summer. You can also stop in really early for a full coffee bar and assorted pastries.

Solid five star. I ordered the capuchino heath and praline ice creams and they were some of the best I've ever had. You must try their dipped waffle cones. I had the Oreo and chocolate version. It enhanced my ice cream. Employees were welcoming and promptly greeted us with a big smile. The sitting outside is quaint and is the perfect place to relish your treat. I cannot wait to come back to Minneapolis and get more of their scrumptious over creams.

Delicious ice cream and tons of fun flavors! I would definitely go back. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is they had one girl running everything. It took a long time to get through the line. But, otherwise it was great!

In some ways it's good that I've become so sensitive to sugar that I can't eat much ice cream in one sitting because otherwise I probably would have had a 20 scoop cone. Probably would have blown my food budget for the say, too. I tried 3 flavors, they were all great. Ended up with a 2 scoop cone, before dinner mint and Pavratti. I'm in North Dakota now but am strongly considering going back for the oatmeal raisin cookie I didn't get. Please try the others and let me know how they are. I recommend you take your cone for a walk through the local neighborhood and enjoy the beautiful historic homes while you walk off some of those calories. If you go far enough you can go back for more! They also have coffee which looked good but I didn't try it. I did see a coffee roasting machine meaning they either roast it themselves or they have a much larger decorating budget than I do.

I really liked this hip ice cream shop. Unique flavors to choose from. The strawberry banana is yummy and the vanilla tastes like a classic vanilla bean. So good. I recommend the banana split to share.
