Review Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria - Milwaukee

First time eating here! The appetizers were the best of the food we ordered. I didn’t get a photo of the Brussels Sprouts but let me tell you, that was delicious! I will try to recreate it at home! The lobster Rangoon tasted even better with the sweet chili oil! We ordered the bao buns and they were good, a bit on the sweeter side. The shrimp tacos were too, not much of a kick there but there was flavor. Overall a good experience and good food!

First, the location was in a popular area, right on the water. If you can get a seat outside I would highly suggest it, but inside is equally as beautiful. Second, the staff was excellent, they were kind and attentive. They offered excellent menu suggestions and were fun to talk to. Lastly, the food was delicious. The portion size was small which was great because I ordered a variety of individual tacos. If I'm ever in town again, I would absolutely return!

My friend and I got done with a 4 hr kayaking adventure down the river and were hungry and came here at like 2pm on a Friday afternoon. There was no wait for inside and 15 min wait for outdoor patio. The chips and salsas were delish and we tried a few different of their handheld tacos that were cute and small and pretty good. Atmosphere is nice.

This place looks so fun and if you’d like to chela, this is where you need to be. It was too early for me to have a drink, but I went in and checked it out anyway and it was unbelievable. The two ladies that were working there today. Friendly and awesome. The view is amazing. They have a downstairs which pitching right by the river. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Best tortilla chips I’ve ever had. Guacamole was great. Good, mini steamed bun tacos. Solid drinks. Water views.

Great spot with pet friendly outdoor seating right on the riverwalk. Huge tequila selection, we had the smoke & herb cocktails, it was good but a little sweet, I preferred the jalapeño house Margarita. Also had the bao mi, FGT, and white cheddar fundido- all were delicious!

Very lively place right on the water. The food is different, but very good, and the service was great. The bar had a lot of people in it, very fun.

Hi everybody I'm back, My wife and I tried a new restaurant (Blue Bat) right on the Milwaukee river on the Southwest corner of Water street and Buffalo, just South of the Milwaukee market. A Must Try!!! There is indoor or outdoor seating, 2 levels outside to look Over the river. We chose to be on the lower level, where you're right by the river. Boats were pulling up to dine, We both had a beautiful view of the city. If you are a Connoisseur of Tequilas, they have over hundreds of bottles of Low to High-end for you to enjoy. We are not. But we had a couple House-ritas ,very refreshing and smooth. The food was spectacular. I had 3 different tacos a Shrimp, a Cod, and a Fried green tomato with bacon all on tortillas. The flavors were wonderful. My wife had the teriyaki salmon which the picture explains for itself. Again, a burst of flavors. Our waiter Joe was very attentive, but left us alone. Great service, Great food and Friendly staff. And at the end of your meal you can step right on Milwaukee's riverwalk and go right into the city to have a romantic ending. Delicioso!!!

I have always walked/drove past here, and I was so glad I finally got to try it! The staff was so incredibly welcoming, and friendly. The restaurant itself had a great ambiance, perfect for lunch, brunch, or dinner. The bar is beautiful, and has a lot to offer. Their brunch on Saturdays and Sundays goes until 3PM so that’s when the lunch menu begins. There’s lots of unique varieties on the menu to choose from, cushioned with mexican cuisines. 10/10!

Our first time here! No joke, the chimichurri chicken salad was the best salad I’ve ever had! It was huge & the dressing, YUM! My husband had the carne tacos and there were excellent portions of meat in each one. Margaritas hit the spot and the bar staff were so friendly! Highly recommend.

Loved the along the River dining experience at Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria. Located in the popular third ward in Milwaukee this is a great spot for dining with friends, girls nights, brunches, and happy hours. They have a great menu selection and on weekends they have global brunch menu that ends at 3 pm. Love that the menu choices are diverse and there is something for everyone. The service is a 10/10. Our server was awesome and made great recommendations. Food was delicious. Everything we ordered was incredible and portion size was great. We started with the fried Brussels sprouts and bag o chips. The bag o chips were super addicting and likes all the dips that came with. The Brussels sprouts were also well seasoned and crispy. Next we got the coconut red curry, chimichurri chicken salad, and Mediterranean chicken. The red curry was bursting with flavors, it was so good. The salad was fresh and the chimichuri chicken add just the right kick to it. The Mediterranean chicken as also tasty and a must try . Overall we had a wonderful dining experience and cannot wait to go back.

Incredible atmosphere and location with the food to match. Got Brussel sprouts and street corn for apps which were both delicious though I'll ask for the corn to be cut off the cob next time. Also ate the Baja bowl and added extra cod for more protein. It was so good! Will be back!

We had a wonderful time the bartenders are very knowledgeable and helpful picking out what to order with such a large selection of tequilas. The food was very good with something for everyone, the Milwaukee street corn was very good. Definitely recommend for a night out.

I do like this place! The menu is unique with one page full of a variety of servings (appetizers, handheld, and bowls). The amount of food in bowls is quite satisfying. Drinks are good, too. You can choose between different options (and non-alcoholic beverages are available, too). They might honor your birthday in one way. Unfortunately, their dessert menu was in a change by the time we visited, so we had no desserts there. The scenery is gorgeous by the river. Come in summer for the outdoor seating, or get a cool reserved spot by the window indoor in winter. One last thing, being an Egyptian, I was so proud to find the falafel as close as to our signature style 👌🏼😃

Super fun! I loved the Creole bowl. Also had a few of the tacos. One was middle eastern inspired, one was Mexican inspired. I loved the portobello taco! , Homemade chips in a bag and guac was a hit with my friends and I. I highly recommend taking advantage of the staff knowledge. It definitely felt like I was on vacation somewhere warm and friendly with amazing flavors and a clean fresh open space with lots of color. The chef visited our table and it was obvious he's passionate about the flavors and the travels that inspired them. Do it. Have fun! Milwaukee needed this!

Good apps (chips, guacamole & corn) Tacos bla (fish & chicken) Watermelon margarita fantastic! No air . 2.5 stars if that was an option. I did have to ask the bartender for HH menu. I don't like when a place does not offer upfront.

Stopped in on Mother's Day for dinner - glad we did! One of the best meals I've had in a LONG time. The street corn is just amazing (I think I had a whole plate on my own and wanted more). The brussel sprouts are delicious! The street tacos are just perfect! I had your jalapeno cocktail and it was awesome - just the right blend of everything. My son is very particular about the way margaritas are made - and he had 3!!! They were perfect. The atmosphere is fun and the views are awesome. This is a great place and we'll all be back. Thank you!

Had steak taco in a bowl, for $15. It was tastey but, some steak pieces a little chewy. I have had similar fare at qudob and Chipotle that are just as good for half the price.

The best meal I’ve had in a very long time! Highly recommend!

Had terrible service and the cocktails were sub par for how the menu made them seem.. both times we were there. It was quite embarrassing actually bringing our friends from out of town there to try out this place.

My wife and I had a great experience at Blue Bat. The tacos were great, as well as the bag of chips and guac! Drinks were great as well. Loved the chicken fried chicken tacos and Mexican old fashioned.

Amazing food and great drinks! Highly recommend checking out.

Had a delicious lunch with two friends. Shishito peppers were fantastic (and think we got more than 1 in 10 super hot!). Assortment of tacos and house salad with poke tuna also fabulous. Will be back for cocktails!

Loved the White Cheddar Fundido & chips. We also tried several tacos. The Mezcal Agave Steak, Chicken Fried Chicken, Smoked Brisket and Cajun. All were very good. Our favorite was the Mezcal Agave Steak. Great atmosphere and service.
