If you want healthy clean eating, go to Breadsmith in Greenfield. They have a massive selection of savory & sweet breads as well as muffins, scones and cookies. Life’s too short to eat mass-produced bread. Get the bread your grandma would make.

Staff is always so nice. Best bread around. My daughter will eat toast everyday if it's Breadsmith rustic Italian. If I buy regular store bought bread it will go bad as no one will eat it! Definitely worth the few extra dollars.

I purchased myself some honey white bread, a French baguette, a cinnamon cobblestone, and some of the Stonewall Kitchen blueberry jam! Firstly, when I came into the store, I wasn’t aware of everything I wanted so I needed some time to decide. Christine came over and made sure I was helped very quickly, and gave me the time I needed! When I was looking at the jams, Christine informed me of which were the popular ones and what she herself liked. I enjoyed the casual yet informative conversation we had. Once I chose all the items I wanted, I asked her about some issues I had with finishing the honey white before it goes bad. She happily gave me the advice of freezing some of the bread and pulling it out once my family finished the first half! Secondly, all the items I purchased (minus the cobblestone because we are eating later today) tasted so wonderful! The baguette was soft in the center and had a beautifully crunchy crust, the honey white was wonderful with an egg on top, and that jam... oh that jam!!!! Thank you Christine for recommending the blueberry one, I can make so much wonderful things with that, crepes with that jam and some strawberries is going to be amazing! All in all, a fantastic experience, wonderful and very knowledgeable staff, and delicious food! I highly recommend to everyone to give them a try, and to walk in with a smile (even with a mask on) because it’ll help make an experience that much more wonderful! The best bread ever!!! I love to pick some up on special occasions. We will pop the unsliced loaf into a hot oven until it's crispy and then slather in butter!!! 🍞 🧈 ☕ Yummy!!!

Call ahead a day before you want to pick up too ensure they'll have exactly what you want. However, I'm never disappointed when I go in for two random loaves and as many muffins, brownies, and scones as I can carry. Soup boules are especially swanky for a night in our when you're entertaining.

Love the extremely fresh bread with no added preservatives. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 as I didn't see a huge variety of different breads. At first glance it seemed like a good variety, but when looking closer it was a lot of the same breads in different shapes. Thankfully they had the two types of bread I was interested in (Sour Dough and Ciabatta). Will definitely visit the Breadsmith of Greenfield again.

The service is always first class. They always have samples out and will cut a piece off of different types of loaves for you to sample. The rolls are excellent but almost to filling to make a sandwich with, great by themselves. The breads need to be tasted and enjoyed. Worth the trip and price to get great baked goods.

I love this place, especially the Butter top Country white bread. Very helpful staff, kind and knowlegable. Best bread I've ever had..makes awesome grilled cheese sandwiches! Chewy and full, yet light delicate flavor. The cookies and treats are awesome too!

I live extremely close to here and have driven past this business quite literally thousands of times. Wow what a mistake that has been. Small shop amazing staff and the bread they bake here is out of this world. The sourdough is something my kids fight over and do extra chores to have. Stop in and buy a loaf of something you will not be disappointed!

I was at the Greenfield store today. I was concerned, because I forgot my mask in the car, & during these current COVID19 days, I hope others protect me, as much as I want to protect them. I was the only one in the store, besides two employees, a man, & a woman; both so very pleasant. They both had masks on, which of course, made me feel safe, but I felt bad that I was not protecting them, with my mask. The store was exceptionally clean, & as I was pulling out to leave, the woman came out & wiped down the door handle that I had touched, both inside & outside, to disinfect it for the next customer. So not only is their bread fantastic, but they are doing a wonderful job keeping their customers safe in the middle of this Pandemic. Great job BreadSmith. I was so impressed. 5 stars for sure.

This woman could easily live on bread alone, as long as it's Breadsmith's. They make bread how bread is supposed to be. The only issue is trying to decide which loaf to buy but, no matter your choice, you will be deeply fulfilled, especially if you pick up a pound of butter to slather on it. One of my favorite loaves is their raisin walnut (love it toasted), and the traditional rye is also fabulous. Then there's brioche to make French toast with. I prefer to buy my loaf unsliced; if you prefer it that way as well, Breadsmith sells a breading knife that makes slicing effortless. I purchased mine over 20 years ago, and it still cuts perfectly. Enjoy!

Every loaf of bread we have gotten has been delicious. Just finished the almond poppy seed dessert bread which is AMAZING!!
