At first was skeptical at first since the restaurant felt like it was located in the middle of a neighborhood but this is one of my favorite taco place-just look at the attached image! The atmosphere is so homey. Its always packed when I got but still always able to get a table within 5-10 minutes. I only get the tacos here but all my friends who have been do like their other dishes!
This place is always good but today everything was extra burnt. Even the chips. Everything needed a little more seasoning as well and it wasn't busy... The service was great though.
I love to eat authentic Mexican food. The waitresses are very well mannered and caring
Gotta give this place 5 stars. The decor is great, colorful with an authentic Hispanic appeal. The service was great!!! Ordered the Al Pastor 3 taco dinner. Requested the works toppings with an avocado and cream cheese. The meat was so flavorful and a little spicy. The two sauces that accompanied the meal great. The red was a little spicey-you can see the red peppers. The green was a little tomatish, flavorful with a little kick. Of course, I used the green. They were so generous with veggies-they offered more spices in a bag-I just said yes. This was take out. Look at the grilled onions and the big peppers!!! I saved half the dinner to take home-gonna microwave it and really throw down. I was eating nice and polite at work.
Look at the beans-added cheese to it, you know this is authentic-all the extra tie-bit. Restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood. Nice getaway for lunch or quiet dinner, but I bet it gets crowded.
Came from Illinois to try a different Mexican restaurant. This place was good, the service was ok. I ordered bistec encebollado and my partner ordered soupa de res. The bistec dish I had was made with skirt steak, pretty spicy so beware those who don't like heat in there food. I didnt expect it to be that spicy they incorporate lots of jalapeños into this dish but I ate it anyways once mixed with the rice and beans it was tolerable but it did clear my sinuses lol. The soupa de res had good flavor, first time I ever seen it with a red soup its usually clear or a pail color but flavor was good, the meat was really tender. There jimaica drink was really good and flavorful. Overall, it was good.
Great family restaurant for a light, but intimate atmosphere. The food is quite spicy, but with plenty of taste. The fajitas come with 6 tortillas, and I finished half the plate. Service was a bit slow; it was slightly crowded. Waitresses speak Spanish.
Very good place, good food and the goat taco is great. only the waitress is a little rude, she spoke and I couldn't understand, I didn't know if she couldn't speak English or not, I speak Spanish too and she didn't even try to speak again or another language, she just walked away and left me not understanding anything.. but apart from that,.great food
After living in Los Angeles, it’s hard to find good authentic Mexican food anywhere. After moving to Milwaukee I’ve been trying a lot different places. I took one bite of the tacos here I knew this place was legit! My taste bites felt like they were at home in East L.A.
Food pretty good, lots of choices on the menu. Service was rough, but we had a big group. Will definitely give it another shot next time around.
We come all the way from Green Bay to eat here. The food is so authentic and flavorful. Every time we come, we’re never disappointed. If you’re in the area you must try. Their Al pastor tacos are my absolutely favorite. I’m very picky when it comes to pork, so that says a lot. I’ve referred many people to this place. It’s very delicious 😋
For about $60, you can order a tray of 20 tacos with any choice of meat (only upcharge is for lengua) that comes with a bunch of chiles toreados y cebollitas, family-sized tubs of salsa verde y roja, limes, chiles en vinagre, AND a 2L of either Coca-Cola or Manzanita Sol. Onion and cilantro can be ordered on the tacos or on the side based on your preference.
I called ahead and ordered two trays and got an expected pickup time of 25-30 minutes, and sure enough, when I got there about 20 minutes later, my order was coming out fresh from the kitchen. Service from start to finish was excellent.
I wish I'd taken a picture of how majestic those tacos looked when we opened the trays up, but we were too excited to dig in.
Overall, it was a great experience! Highly recommend El Cabrito if you need a quick and delicious option to feed a crowd.
The food the service was wonderful. My wife, son and I eat there and everything was delicious, and hot. Just the right amount of spice and friendly service. We will most definitely be back.
This Mexican joint off of I-43 is it!
The interior is very cute and colorful and gives off a bright welcoming feeling, the place was very clean. The staff was great as well.
Now for the food, excuse me as I reminisce for a second..... Yeah, it was that good.
Now everyone knows at these Mexican spots you get the standard tortilla chips with sauce, and here was no different. I got a nice sized bowl of tortilla chips (not pictured, my sorry 😔) with 3 different kinds of sauce: 1. Salsa 2. Some kind of Verde sauce. 3. A spicy hot sauce. The chips were lightly seasoned so they were ight.
Now to the main course. I got 3 ground beef tacos and a beef burrito with rice and beans, (cause I knew nothing but Taco Bell My whole life). But this was AMAZING, so I order my food and it arrived quick, like Lighting McQueen *Cha-chow* quick. Everything was nice and hot, (I burned myself 3-4 times tops), and the ground beef was JUICY. Both the taco and burrito was filled to the brim with meat. the portions were very large for the price point and the presentation wasn't even that bad.
Sadly I didn't get any dessert, I didn't see any on the menu plus I was so satisfied I didn't even care afterward. And get this, everything I got came to about $20, I paid around $19 and some change but that was cheap as hell for a filling meal. If you're in the mood for Mexican and you're around the area give this place a shot you will not regret it.
Cheers.

Loved the food here and their service was great! Would definitely like to come back soon because there are a lot of items to choose from on the menu
I went for lunch recently and had a goat torta which was delicious! The next evening my wife suggested Mexican for dinner and I said "Let's go to El Cabrito!" The burrito suizo was also delicious and HUGE! El Cabrito may be my new favorite Mexican place in Milwaukee.
Delicious authentic Mexican food !! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I asked for taco tripa extra crunchy and they did not do that , also how you add a hot pepper to plain steaks tacos for kids ?? But overall taste was good
Well let start off by saying they TACOS WAS SO FYE .. hit the spot me & wifey enjoyed it’s definitely hit the spot we had 2 taco dinners it’s was super cheap 22 bucks in we each had 3 tacos in 2 sides very authentic The corn shells tasted like they made them in the back
