One of the best places in Milwaukee. I’ve lived here 38 years and the soup house has really changed the bland menu of what else is out there. Really, really good soups!! My favorite is the all of it! I know the owner works hard stirring them soups by hand every morning.

The soup menu changes daily, there is no wait staff, and its cash only. The eating area is ample with little risk of being full.
The soups are top notch and priced for the downtown crowed, with various sizes and rates.
Tip: complimentary bread and crackers near entrance of dinning area.

I have enjoyed visiting this place for many years now. The soups are over-the-top good. Fresh ingredients you can taste, variety of daily flavors, and also has dine-in area. I’ve not eaten at the restaurant, but the dining room is open, bright, fun, and looks and feels kid friendly. They post weekly online menus for the week, and changes up recipes daily. It’s truly a Milwaukee Favorite & place to visit. Always leave satisfied and looking forward to the next time I am there.

This is my favorite downtown lunch spot. The soups are not boiled down mush like you find in most places. It really shows that the ingredients are added in at the proper time to make sure they have a great texture when finished. The vegetarian and vegan options are awesome and the menu rotates weekly so there is a nice variety.

I checked out Soup House during a lunch hour rush and the service was fast and efficient. I tried the TIKKA MASALA and it was excellent. It was a tasty and hearty soup. The only complaints I really have are that it is cash only and I felt for the cost that the large size could be a little more substantial. Over all it is well worth the time to stop in and the staff are a friendly bunch.

Love this place for a nice soup lunch. I've seen it get pretty busy at lunchtime, so plan accordingly. Also, they're cash only. They've got an ATM in the dining area, but it helps things along to have cash in hand when ordering. Their soups are always creative and delicious!

The soups are great if you get there early enough in the day. By late afternoon they seem to have a bad balance of liquid vs solid (IE noodles, meat, veggies). I do highly recommend their cream based soups for cheese and dairy lovers! Buffalo chicken and the Monte Cristo are delicious cheesey goodness.
