Review Celesta - Milwaukee

Amazing vegan food! The lasagna was perfect! The tacos were amazing! Both desserts we tried were both refreshing (The mango parfait) and decadent (salted caramel mousse pie) I love this place. Conscious food options are growing in my city. Celesta is one of those newly found gems.

Full disclosure - I am not vegan, however I do enjoy eating vegan. The place rocks. The drinks, the apps, the atmosphere, the food. Everything is A+. If you are unwilling to try this place because it's Vegan, you are making a huge mistake. The staff is super attentive and informative, and the food was superb. Some of the best Mac and Cheese I have ever had. Southern Plate is a must try.

The atmosphere and service were great! Everyone was nice and our table was ready ten minutes before our reservation time which was great. Everything here is vegan. I got the fishless fish fry the "fish" and tartar sauce were great as were the potatoes. The slaw was pretty heavy on the red onion though. If there was any dressing on there I couldn't taste it, literally all I could taste was onion and that was a bit disappointing.

Great selection of vegan menu items. Went here for Sunday brunch and got the Southwest Skillet. It was fresh, filling and delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to any vegan or non-vegan looking for a good meal. The atmosphere is modern and cozy.

This place was awesome! It’s always nice to see a new local vegan restaurant but even better when the food is BOMB! The Bang Bang Broccoli is for sure a BANG, for your buck! I will be coming back again in the near future and if you are reading this, so should you.

"No Fish" Fish Fry, Black Bean soup & Smores bar. Everything was amazingly fresh & tasty. Service was great. We will definitely be back.

The staff and food was wonderful! Very accommodating and helpful. We had a severe allergy in our group and the staff at Celesta made a completely different side so that they weren't left out and enjoyed their meal fully. The salted chocolate tart was delicious!!!

The absolute BEST French toast I have ever had. The potatoes were incredible and I'm often a little picky when it comes to vegan mock meats, but the sausage was really good and had great flavor!

I just had my first experience at Celesta and I am absolutely mind-blown. The food was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY SCRUMPTIOUS. I am not vegan, but I am slowly transitioning into vegetarian and still really enjoy trying vegan options. The bang bang broccoli is absolutely to die for. I could eat an entire pound of it. I got the southern comfort dinner and it was so incredible as well. The service was amazing, our waitress Lakshmi was super sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is adorable but very small. Def recommend calling and making a reservation like we did. I absolutely will be back and bringing others with so they fall in love like I did!

Fantastic food, the portions were perfect. My friend and I shared the Lima fries, sweet potato hummus, and buffalo tofu sandwich and were more than satisfied with each dish. I am thrilled to have a vegan restaurant with such delicious and intriguing dishes...it was difficult to narrow down our decision since everything sounded appealing! Most importantly, the service was phenomenal. The staff and chefs were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Our server checked on us frequently and we were satisfied with her recommendations. She was very patient, as my friend and I got distracted with conversation and neglected to finalize food order on multiple occasions. My friend and I unfortunately encountered a stressful situation outside of the restaurant, and the entire staff was extremely supportive and responsive. They went above and beyond to meet our needs, ensuring we were safe and cared for. The staff extended their hospitality both inside and outside of their business, portraying genuine empathy and kindness through their intrinsic actions. They certainly helped create comfort in a time of chaos. What more could you ask for in a local business? Definitely an inviting atmosphere in multiple ways, I know I'll be making regular visits to Celesta for delicious food and authentic hospitality.

I'm going to give you a totally honest review from a non-vegan, for which this restaurant is geared for. This food is absolutely delicious, and doesn't leave you with that heavy, greasy, feeling. I highly recommend the "Bang Bang Broccoli" which quite literally tastes like chicken wings. The owner clearly takes pride in this restaurant and is very active within the community as well. My only regret is taking over 2.5 years of living in Milwaukee to try this place!

Food is excellent, I love the vegan comfort foods, it's a great idea. Their cocktail menu has a lot of cool and unique options. My only gripe is that the 2 of us were seated at the bar when there were 3 tables open. The service was still good, but it would've been nice to get a table so we could talk face to face.

What a gem! I stopped for a first time and was blown away by the atmosphere, the food and service. I am new to began food and didn't know what to order. Server recommended to try their Lasagna. Let me tell you...this Lasagna is delicious and second to none vegan or not. Please, try their Rose Water Lemonade, it is fantastic, top it off with Salted Chocolate Torte! This is now an absolute must visit place in Milwaukee. Great Food, great people, great place overall.

I'm not vegan but this place always smells so good when I walk past so I had to give it a try. My fiance and I placed an order for curbside pickup and when we picked up our food was ready when they said it would be and it was all hot and fresh. To say the food was good is an understatement. Everything was amazing! The bang bang broccoli was mind-blowing! We also got the southern plate, the buffalo saitan sandwich that came with soup and a lemon blueberry bar. Everything was so delicious and we haven't stopped talking about it. Seriously, vegan or non vegan definitely give this place a try. I can't wait to order from them again!

Cute atmosphere, excellent service, and amazing food!! Large portions for the cost. My boyfriend has a tree nut allergy, which we mentioned, and they were extremely informative and accommodating when we made food selections. Some of the best vegan food I’ve had! I will definitely be returning & recommending this restaurant!

Celesta is an absolute gem and has become one of my all time favorite restaurants. Thus far, I've tried the bang bang broccoli, Southern plate (which includes mac and cheese!), lasagna, and the ramen- all have been delicious. I have enjoyed every item that I've had from Celesta, and I look forward to trying everything else on the menu. This is a wonderfully delicious restaurant for vegan and non-vegans alike!

Hands down best and most creative vegan food in Milwaukee! Not to mention Melanie, Nina and their crew are always so thoughtful and welcoming. My meat eating family members also love the food at these events and have had them become more open to a more plant based diet after discovering how amazing vegan food can be � Their food is great for vegans and non-vegans alike!

Wonderful food with excellent service. Location is a very nice area of the East Side. Just dined there for lunch today and I thought the Turkey Club Sandwich with Kale Ceaser Salad was delicious. I had a brownie from Batches Bakery, and that was delicious. I would like to try Celesta for dinner as well as one of the other desserts.

Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and approachable, and the space is beautiful!

Fabulously delicious. Still thinking about those tacos a day after. Great, friendly & informative service. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants and can't wait to return.

Phenomenal food made by fantastic people...also happen to be Vegan! It’s about time for Milwaukee. Can’t wait for Celesta to open. It’s going to be a super success!!
