I went here for brunch last weekend and dinner this weekend and both were great! I thought the brunch menu was a little better than the dinner menu but I did not try everything so that is just my initial impression.
The menu is creative and the chefs and servers seem to have a good sense of humor. For brunch, they say sunglasses inside and pajamas are encouraged, and the burgers were described as the "sluttiest burgers in Milwaukee". The burgers are definitely delicious!! The baked cheese curds are also amazing, and they're offered for dinner and brunch. Their drinks are also really creative - my favorites are the Spicy Baez and El Hombre Abides.
Overall, the food is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back to try more of the menu!
Seriously this is the best burger in Milwaukee. I don't eat burger and fries often anymore so it's a treat on my new healthy lifestyle. When I do decide to eat a burger and fries, this is where I choose to go. This should say alot. The Social Merriment burger is just as good if not better than a place I went in Chicago that I thought was to die for. Get the Social Merriment or if you are more daring they have some other creative burger options. You won't be disappointed!!
I visited Merriment for Mother's Day brunch on Sunday. Bloody Marys and mimosas were top shelf. The buffet held an excellent selection of seafood, caesar salad, fruits, breakfast fare, and tasty desserts. The crown jewel was the prime rib and ham-off-the-bone carving station. Fantastic! Everything was fresh and hot, a big challenge for a buffet serving hundreds of people. Kudos to the MS owners and staff!
I made a reservation for Easter on the 28th, when we arrived the gentleman in front was unable to find it. That was disappointing since we don’t live in the area and planned a weekend trip around the holiday brunch. The male host/server kinda had attitude, it wasn’t until I told him the number I used to make the reservation was In-fact this restaurant that they finally sat us. That situation aside, the brunch was delicious, The bacon, corned beef pot stickers and even the Caesar salad were perfect, down to the butter on the waffles!!!Our server was wonderful and really attentive, I would love to come back for dinner when we can order off the menu. Apart from the reservation issue, the food, drinks and service were excellent!!!
It was my niece’s birthday so it was up to me to pick the place. I decided it was going to be Merriment Social. Our server was Kayla. She was amazing. She gave us great recommendations on cocktails and food. Cocktails and food were off the charts, however, Kayla’s customer service is something not many servers and restaurants can top! The birthday shot was the icing on the cake! Cheers to an incredible establishment all the way around!!!
Came here for brunch and the food was fabulous! The breakfast sausage dumplings were incredible, and the cream city burger was excessively cheesy, which is just how I love it. Awesome place - definitely recommend!
Absolutely amazing. Great staff, great food, great drinks. Atmosphere is lively and open. Just what we expecting. We were a group of 6 and one of the owners, Sam, came to check on us. Our server was amazing, no glass was ever empty. His recommendations were spot on. Must go back for dessert and the fried chicken he suggested.
This is legitimately my favorite place for burgers. The ownership is amazing and always comes by to talk to us when we come in. If you haven't eaten here you are doing yourself a disservice. There is no better place in Milwaukee to eat and drink. Great atmosphere, great service, and even better food. AWESOME!

The food and bloody Marys were some of the best brunch we have had in MKE. Although the food was incredibly slow to come out (due to a brunch rush) the manager, Sam, was certainly willing to give us apologies and make our visit 110% worth it. Our waitress was also wonderful. Will definitely be back. Thanks again, Sam!
First time there with a group of 11... everything about that night was great. But the best thing was the food! Preferred cheese curds, deep fried Brussels and th chicken wraps I have no complaints! I can’t wait to go back.
Such a fun space! Food and drinks were on point! I can't speak highly enough about Sam. He was incredibly helpful and super patient with me while I was planning a surprise birthday dinner. Our server was wonderful and super attentive to us. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Milwaukee and let all our friends know about our great experience!
I’ve been wanting to come to this restaurant for a very long time. I thoroughly enjoyed every second I was there. We made reservations for an early Saturday lunch, and it was really nice. The customer service from the hostess to our waiter (with the purple hair) were extraordinary. The meal choices were amazing. We had the chicken and waffles and the avocado salad bowl with grilled chicken. The strawberry mock tail was refreshing. The space is wide and airy. This is a gem of a spot in the Third Ward. I will be back. . .
Had a reservation to meet some friends for brunch. That live in Milwaukee and we met them at this place. It did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was very bright and relaxed and the food was amazing. Large portion if you are a Milwaukee Boulevard apologize this is a good place to try
One of the most eclectic restaurants/ bars in the area. Located in a very convenient walking distance of most of the major stops in the Third ward. Service was fast and very friendly. Lots of different drinks and food choices. Patio was very spacious and dog friendly.
Had a reserved brunch for my 40th birthday and the most wonderful customer service in a pinch. I originally booked a place and had no communication from them 8 days before my event and got nervous. I found Merriment Social on OpenTable and they had great reviews. Joe was fantastic in reaching out, following through, and giving me my options. We booked the Mezzanine which was semi-private, but our own space. They created signature drinks and and a colorful menu. I really felt the love! The food was also fantastic! Everyone complimented the food choices...get the chicken and waffles and Brussel sprouts y'all! I'd highly recommend this place!
UPDATE: Returned for an evening outing. It is still great, although it is much noisier with the large doors closed and a bigger evening crowd. That did not detract from it just being a fun place!
Our shared fries were perfectly done and the side of garlic aioli is a big plus! The artichoke dip bread bowl was super tasty but a bit unwieldy for sharing. We'd still get it again. As you can see from the pics, we made short work of them both!
Special shout to Grace, our server. She was friendly and efficient. Sam, the owner, was making the rounds of the tables and was very nice. He shared that he is starting a neighborhood loyalty program with some seriously nice perks.
Loved this place!! It was a warm night so we had the benefit of the open doors/walls. Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions.
I LOVED the citrus dessert.....outstanding!

Good atmosphere, really quick service. The waiter River was friendly and explained the food well.
We had brunch here with friends. The atmosphere is a lot of fun. It was busy, but not packed.
We enjoyed most of the food that we ordered. However, the meats on the cheese board tasted off and had some discoloration. We eat everything and we didn’t have any desire to finish the salami.
The entrees were good, but nothing that was as remarkable as the cheese curds…they were served in a ramekin as fresh curds melted with a crispy topping and croquettes. It was unique and delicious.
Our drinks were good. The cocktails were interesting. I had a Bloody Mary and it definitely hit the spot.
Open and airy industrial building serving some great food!
Fish tacos were delicious as well as the award winning mac and cheese!
Service was great as well.
Lovely brunch spot! We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and there was plenty of tables available. They have nice music and a relaxing atmosphere. Unique and fun decor. We ordered the "Elvis crepe cake" and the "smoked meat everyday" . The crepe was on point and not too sweet. The smoked meat was absolutely delicious and had a great combination of flavors. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They also have a ton of drink options. Great place overall! Will definitely be returning.
We stopped in for a bite to eat before our concert. The staff was friendly. The food and drink options were good. Our server was awesome and efficient. The atmosphere was so cool and laid back. Our meals came out quickly and perfect. The food tasted amazing and the slushie margs were delicious! I can not wait to go back here. Best burger we've had in a very long time!! I would recommend the cheese curds and best seller burger 100%.
