The City Market Cafe & Bakehouse - Milwaukee - Photo album

After riding the Oak Leaf Trail, I stopped at this cozy little place for a much-needed break. Lovely decor, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere help set this place apart! The cranberry nut scone was tasty and paired well with the decaf blend. I appreciated that you get a self-serve mug when
I have been coming here for nearly 20 years and love it. Soups are always good but I LOVE the Market Masterpiece sandwich. I have never had a bad experience here or their Tosa location.
I was a first time visitor and I'd heard great things about the food. For a first time guest, it was a little confusing. It LOOKS like they have table service and they kind of have bits of it. You order at the counter, find a seat, and then your food is brought to. The menu is fairly substantia
City Market is pure bliss! They have homemade granola and soups. The bakery is to die for. They have healthy choices! The patio is great for the summer!
Step in for a cool, inviting atmosphere with plenty of seating. I enjoyed the cinnamon roll I bought in the evening of a week day. It's right across from a church so I'd imagine it's a nice stop afterwards with kids. Some mothers and their toddlers stopped by for some snacks.
Nice place to take a breakfast, brunch, or lunch with friends and family. Their food is delicious and they have a good service. They are known by the good collections of sweets and cakes. Indoor and outdoor tables available. Street parking available in the area.
Small coffee, tea and sandwich shop. Soup of the day and standards french onion and veggie chili. Salads and pastas. Breakfast stuff and desserts. Bread for sale can be sliced our whole. Nice selection of muffins. Very good chai tea. This seems to be a favorite after school place for St Roberts scho

Just had pastries that were terrific. The mint chocolate chip brownie is one of the best in the city. Same for pumpkin bars.
Delicious! Ordered the Morning Wrap and a Latte. Ate outside on the patio. Very filling and flavorful vegetarian breakfast wrap without feeling greasy or heavy. Good atmosphere. Felt like a true gathering place for the community. Can’t wait to come back for lunch or bakery.
I LOVE eating here. The food is amazing. I especially love the minestrone soup.
I work nearby so when weather is decent I walk there for lunch or a baked treat and coffee. Toasty food. Nice friendly folks working there. Service is pretty quick too. They can't always accommodate my requests (e.g. bell peppers already in the mix of veggies so I can't order the dish with no pepper
