We went here because they have some outdoor seating. The service was accommodating, nice, and quick! It is a loud street, but it was still nice to be outside. The chairs were not comfortable. Prices for drinks are reasonable, and we were happy to find our beer was $2 off for happy hour (we think until 6pm). We all thought the food was pretty good, but nothing special. The redeeming quality of the chicken tortilla salad was the avocado dressing. I think the best looking meal of everyone's was a buffalo chicken wrap.

Great place to get a burger and hang out with a friend. 5 starts for what it is. Hooligans is a classic dive that has fantastic food for the price. The Bleu Cheese Coleslaw is legendary and some of the best you'll ever have, if that's something you enjoy.

Such a great Milwaukee staple. Hooligans is one of the best fish frys around. I'd advise you to get here early. By 7pm the place is packed and seating is rough. There is outside seating during the summer, and a second bar upstairs. Try Hooligans during your next Fish Fry Friday and let all your friends know how it awesome it was.

There is a reason this is one of the last OG places still standing on North. Food is always delicious, from the burgers to the catfish. Also, it has one of the best bloody marys you can get.

The food was a bit hit and miss. The fries and tater tots were great, but the chili dog was just ok. It was served on toasted bread which made it greasy. I don't recommend the cheese curds. For some reason they were grainy. Cute little bar, but really loud. It's fun to sit outside and people watch. The waitress was really nice and helpful. Like everything else downtown you will need to park elsewhere and walk to the bar. Really not an issue.

I confess. I was wrong. I came to Milwaukee 21 years ago and I've never been in this restaurant because I misjudged it as a college dive. Wow was I wrong. This is a great pub. The service is superb. They have more fascinating ways to make a hamburger than I've ever seen before. Great tap selection and a super comfortable atmosphere. Amber the Barkeep was spot on. If I could only travel back in time. Update: 31 Oct 22 consistently excellent. Tenders are friendly, service is superb, hifh end good priced bar food, and a beautiful interior.

We stop in here every year for new year day. Burgers are excellent, and the beer selection is pretty good. This last time I changed it up and tried the buffalo wrap and it did not disappoint.

Love this place! I have tried a few things now: the Grilled Monterrey Chicken Sandwich, the Beelzeburger, the appetizer nachos, and fries, and everything is excellent. I have ordered ahead for pick up by calling in both times, and the process has been easy. It looks like a great place to drink and dine in as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

This was my first time since the fire shut them down during covid time and I was pleasantly suprised that it did not look different than before the fire. Everything (atmosphere, bartender, etc.)was as good as it was before including the food! Time to make this a destination again.

I believe my servers name was Sean the last time I dined there and he did an outstanding job! I can’t wait to come back again to see him and order some chicken tenders.
