I've been there twice and each time had good food and wonderful servers. The atmosphere is lovely. I especially enjoyed the Corned Beef Hash and look forward to my next visit.

The person that sat us down seemed to have be having a bad morning, but our server made up for that. He was delightful and very attentive, and all the food was absolutely amazing.

This is our current go-to place. Street parking can be a hassle, but the nice atmosphere, good food, and cheerful workers are worth it. I would definitely get a reservation, or you will for sure have to wait on the weekends. Everything we have ordered has been delicious and served hot. You will not be disappointed.

My favorite breakfast place in town at the moment! Best breakfast burrito in town, hands down. Great food, generous portions, amazing service and fun atmosphere! I highly recommend Canela Cafe for breakfast, lunch or brunch! You won’t be disappointed and you definitely won’t leave hungry

This was my first time, and it certainly will not be my last. This is a fantastic eatery on the east side that is definitely a hidden gem. The service was spectacular. . . From the greeter to our waitress. Just pure joy!!! The food was really good. Had I known the breakfast potatoes were not going to be seasoned, I would’ve chose the seasonal fruit which looked amazingly sweet. We had the Monte Christo and the classic breakfast with bacon, eggs, fruit and pancakes. The atmosphere was bright and airy. They had a constant flow of customers. I noticed that a lot of UBER EATS drivers were coming through. I think people are missing out on the experience of the restaurant. I will be back.

A good independent eatery in a bustling area of the east side. We had the Rueben, grilled cheese sandwich, feta and spinach omelette, French toast, and chocolate chip pancakes. All were good choices.
Prices are appropriate.
The service was excellent.
The bathrooms are clean, updated, and well maintained.
Outdoor dining in available and is located on the sidewalk in front of the main entrance.
No parking lot - metered street parking nearby.

Canela delivers on all aspects of a high quality, casual dining experience. Thrown in great tasting coffee, chic atmosphere and attentive service and you have a winning combination. Food presentations are excellent which makes Canela stand out from the crowd....so plan on having a second cup or maybe even a mimosa....both will start your day off with a smile.

I wish I could give 4.5. I ordered the meat lover bowl and it was good, my only complain is that I didn’t think there was very much meat in it for being a meat bowl. It was flavorful, but I tried the pancakes and I regret not ordering them instead. The atmosphere inside is very cute and modern. The staff was very helpful and overall I would come back again, but maybe order pancakes next time.

Food was amazing! the server was really nice but could have been a little more attentive since we waited for a little over 10 minutes for her to come to a table and ask for a box. Overall, it was really good and will be back again 🤞🏽😊
