I really enjoyed their bulalo! Happy I found this place finally. The serving size is massive. The bowl in the picture is roughly a fourth. They are excellent in preparing for takeout orders like mine. Packing up soup is tricky...the attention to detail sets them apart.

Worst Filipino food I've ever had in my life. The sisig was made with pork meat, no pork ears or any of the cartilage, it was very tough meat and I'm 100% sure that it was reheated. The bangus belly sinigang had 0 belly whatsoever. See the picture below. ALL of the veggies were undercooked and I'm pretty sure they just used some instant soup mix, put the veggies in and served it raw. Would NOT recommend this place. Worst Filipino restaurant I've ever been to.

Craving for home cooked Filipino meals? This is the right place to have that fix, good portion sizes and the staff is super courteous unlike other Filipino restaurants. Prices are within the high side but we’ll worth it and you’ll come out satisfied.

So delicious! Food looks amazing! Best Filipino restaurant in the area. Highly recommended when celebrating something or having guest.

This restaurant was recommended by family as one of the best Filipino establishments in the Bay area. The restaurant itself is quite large, and the decor is quite nice, giving a touch of class to the dining experience, something that I have not experienced at other Filipino restaurants that I've been to.
The menu is quite extensive, and there are a lot of staples and also some dishes that were unique to Kalesa. We ordered the Ukoy, Kare Kare, Sizzling Pork Sisig, Sizzling Bangus Sisig and the Pinakbet.
The Ukoy, which is a vegetable and shrimp fried patty, was excellent. Crispy and flavourful and was not greasy as found in other establishments. The Kare Kare, a peanut based oxtail and vegetable stew, also had amazing flavour. The stew was thick and there was a great balance of flavour, nothing too overpowering, and the oxtail was tender. Both sizzling Sisig dishes were crispy, had a touch of spice and tasted amazing paired with garlic rice. Lastly the Pinakbet, a mix of vegetables like eggplant, and Okra, was a perfect compliment to lighten up the overall meal.
The service was fast and friendly, and the parking is plentiful. The only negative was that the washrooms were a little disorderly and not clean. Overall a nice experience and highly recommended, especially if you have not experienced Filipino cuisine.

Kare kare was absolutely 💯 delicious 😋 oxtail was smooth yet chewy just enough to enjoy the dish, and sizzling sisig was really good too. Very friendly vibe. Worth visit more than 1 time.

We ordered lechon for my son’s birthday last 7/24/21 but we were so disappointed because the belly part is not fully cooked. Picture #1 and 2 the pictures speaks for it self, 🤣 #3 picture it looks good only on top because you can’t see the belly part .We paid 400$ but it’s not worth it. I don’t recommend to order lechon from Kalesa.

The portions are huge here! We got the palabok, veggies in spicy coconut sauce, and sizzling sisig. Everything was super good. The sisig is different than other spots as it has that bbq griddle tastes. We ordered an extra side of the vinegar to dip some of the meat in it.
