Great food !! This spot use to be Tinga- basically still the same. Nice decor, friendly staff .

Had dinner here with some friends and sampled a lot on the menu. The avocado sticks were absolutely amazing. Everything is homemade, lots of yummy sauces and gluten free options. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is great! Met the owner as well and she could not have been nicer! We will definitely be back! Major menu and decor upgrade from the Tinga days!

Food at this Tinga turned fresh Mexican restaurant is your average American- Mexican fare. Not bad but nothing stands out.The two times I've been, the service, though friendly, has been lacking. After taking your order, you are forgotten even with the place practically empty. We had to hail the waiter down for hot sauce (which oddly is at most tables but not all) and for refills on water, salsa, and even our check.

While the food is delicious and fresh. The service definitely needs improvement. After taking our order, we had to signal the server for everything and she seemed annoyed each time. I was really surprised to see only 5 of us having lunch, but this may very well be the reason why.

I think I’ve written all of two reviews in my life. To be honest, no matter how bad a place is, I generally just tell myself never to go back and leave it at that.
This restaurant warranted one.
With the exception of the bottle of Jarritos soda I ordered (there’s no way to ruin that, it’s bottled and imported straight from Mexico) NOTHING about this restaurant was good or even mediocre.
The chicken and rice soup was so salty that I couldn’t taste anything else. My “authentic street tacos” were covered in lettuce, cheddar cheese and came in a Taco Bell style corn tortilla. I had to request regular corn tortillas to try and salvage what I’d ordered since I’d already wasted my lunch time trying to order from this place.
While the service wasn’t rude the kid working (there was only one person busing tables, waiting and staffing the register despite a pair of girls in “Casita’s” tee shirts sitting and talking) didn’t seem to have ANY knowledge of Mexican food in the slightest.
You could save money and have a more pleasant “Authentic Mexican” meal at Chipotle.

Food was meh, Make sure to pay attention to your Bill!
Sides were missing on my entree and I was charged more than the menu price listed for Guac, the waitress was in such a rush to get us in and out that she didn't even give me a chance to ask about the pricing mistake before she swiped the book with my credit card and charged me. Nachos were a mess, Burrito was bland and topped with so much sauce you couldn't enjoy any of the meat. Stomach issues for the rest of the night. Empty restaurant and yet the wait staff was busy joking and on their phones in clear view of the few guests, but too busy to refill water or ask how the food was. Makes me miss Tinga. What a waste of a good location.

I had the steak dinner. Steak had great flavor and cooked to perfection. Meat tends to be tricky with tenderness. This one was a little chewy but my leftovers heated to a better texture. Go figure. I disliked the seasoning of the rice, which was dry. The spinach had burned bits of garlic. Yuck. I'll order it without garlic next time and sub the rice. The salsa wasn't to my liking, to spicy and pureed without visible tomatoes or cilantro. It kind of tasted like tomato sauce. I was very disappointed when they said their guacamole was pre made and couldn't avoid being too spicy or oniony. Many people like heat but not all of the dip-able dishes need to burn my tongue off. Other local Mexican restaurants make guacamole to order. Fresh is better. I crave chips, guac and salsa when I went Mexican food. I'll try other items but it might not be my go to place if I can't get my favorite dishes here. Service was kind of slow and inefficient.

For a long time I finally beg my husband to bring me here . the lady in the counter is the worst . she seats us with no menu. We are for water . she told the guy to get some water but she never told the guy whers to bring . so we waited another 10 mins for the water . we ask her for silverware before our food came she said we will give to you later . food came no silverware we ask the guy you realized something is missing right. The guy said chips and salsa. We said no silverware . there's an empty table across us and instead of grabbing those silverware he walks all the way to the kitchen. Wow where did you get your employee like that ? The lady in the front can't even identify your menus. Wow it's not like your menus are cheap. The least you could do is at least have a good service.
