Review Cafe Les Baux - Millbrook

Only bad thing was that they didn't check vaccination cards/status. Good food and amazing customer service. My grandma loved all the food and she's very picky 😅

My wife and I enjoyed this bistro very much. The food was excellent and there wasn’t a long wait time for it. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Everything we ordered were specials. The goat cheese appetizer was one of our favorites because of the flavor variety. On top of that, the cheese was from a local farm. The trout meunière was cooked to perfection and the meunière sauce was spectacular, with a slight tang to excite the tastebuds. The lamb sirloin au jus was perfectly cooked and the accompanying scalloped potatoes paired very well to enhance its flavor. The portions were beyond sufficient. Café Les Baux’s footprint is small, so we were close to other tables, but we never felt cramped and the noise level was never overpowering. We still felt like the atmosphere was sufficient for an intimate evening out for good food. You will not be disappointed when you come.

My girlfriend and I have come her twice so far (made the 1.5 hour drive 2 summers in a row), and the food is outstanding. While this is a nice place, and you would not be amiss to dress up a bit, what I really like about it is that while the food is amazing, the environment is relaxed, somewhat casual, while still having a hint of elegance. So whether you want to have a dressy night, or just walk in wearing shorts and a polo, both are perfectly acceptable. Moreover, my girlfriend lived on France for a number of months, and traveled there frequently with family throughout her childhood, and she says this place has some of the best French food she has had in America.

For decades we had been going to Le Gigot, a lovely little French hole-in-the wall tucked into a Greenwich Village side street, for our wedding anniversary. But we live in Newburgh now, not NYC, and came here on advice from a friend, who said it would give us the same vibe. She was correct. Great ambiance, great food, and great service.

Excellent!!!!! Very fine French Menu & Cuisine. Onion soup to die. Reservations suggested. Small intimate. Beautiful little restaurant.

We had been wanting to go here for some time. Excellent classic French food. Good portions. All cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

Amazing restaurant, the staff was so attentive to our needs and comfort. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and it didn’t fail our expectations. My wife was very happy she loves a good onion soup and creme brûlée. Both were delicious! The soup was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. The creme brûlée was elegant and exquisite. They are taking COVID restrictions seriously by making sure all patrons sit away from each other.
