I found this place randomly looking for a sushi near the hotel. I have tried a couple of plates and their were delicious. Service was quick and professional.
Nice spot for sushi π£ and rolls and happy hour menu. Good to see them open with outdoor seating options.
Zen Bistro easily has the best hot sushi in the Bay Area. Their sauce and ingredients blow out everyone else. Although not cheap, they sometimes have a half off on some days, which is enticing.
I've been here for many years and the staff has generally been very friendly and attentive. Only once did I have a nasty waitress a long time ago.
Food-wise, I highly suggest getting their fried mushrooms and tofu. They have a lot of delicious small dishes, which I've not seen in other J-restaurants. Only thing is their kara-age is not as fluffy or tasty as I used to like it.
Overall, I can highly recommend this place for any occasion.
Bento boxes are always on point, you get three item combo for $15 at lunch and the portions are huge! Salad, soup, rice and three entrees (tempura, beef short rib and a sushi order) makes a gigantic meal that could put you in a food coma! Nice and efficient service, takes about 15 mins. Enjoy!

Love their happy hr oysters but they're not a $1 anymore, pandemic prices raised to $2.
Great for happy hour. The regular menu is a little overpriced but love their $1 oysters on Wednesdays. $2 sake and appetizers for under $5. Their rolls do have a lot of rice but can't complain.
I like the food. At the Happy hour they have a good diversity And good prices.
