We stopped here for a late dinner without reservations and were seated promptly in the main dining room that only had a few people in there but the bar was full. Very loud inside. I would hate to see the noise level if the restaurant was busy. Warm bread with butter was provided pre-meal. Entrée’s came about 30-40 minutes after order. I had the shrimp pappardelle pasta that was excellent, well presented and an adequate portion. No sides with it so I ordered some more complimentary bread. My friends had burgers that they also enjoyed. Low top, booth, bar and large patio seating. Very clean dining area with cloth napkins. Restrooms were immaculate. Good service. Pricey. I would recommend but not if your limited on time or expecting a intimate dinner.

The staff were very attentive but not overwhelming, which led to a relaxing and pleasant dining experience. We did find that the menu on the website differed some from the menu provided in the restaurant, but not by much and not anything that upset us too much. The Filet Mignon was top notch and the shrimp alfredo type pasta was exquisite. Overall, the cocktails met expectations and the pricing, service, and quality of the dishes were great. Finally, we split a chocolate cake dessert which left much to be desired as it came seeming dried out. Overall, my wife and I will definitely be back but we don't hand out 5 stars to just anyone and look forward to giving 118 another chance to earn the last star.

My first thought was, wow. The layout and atmosphere of this restaurant were immaculate. When you first sit down they pour you a glass of water at your table (sparkling or still) and they leave the cold glass bottle there throughout your meal. Also, warm bacon ranch bread with a crisp crust and soft butter on the side.

5 stars for the ambience, service and presentation. And that is pretty much what you're paying more money for. 3 stars for the food and drink. Everything was bland. Like there's enough salt, but not really flavors. There are herb planters throughout the outdoor sitting area but I think they're just decoration. May be we just got all the wrong things (seafood platter, ribs, lobster sandwich) 😕 I liked the fries though. Portion is size is decent.

Very good service, ambience, and food. Our anniversary dinner started with a Singapore Sling for my wife and a Founders Porter on tap for me. Both were very good, and the S. Sling had top shelf liquor. Two kinds of bread rolls, a light and dark grain, were immediately served and both very good with the herb butter, 2nds on bread were quick. We ordered the Brussel sprout/fig/pork bits appetizer and we both loved it. It was a large portion for two people, and were probably the best Brussel sprouts I have had. Our dinner entrees were the crab cake and fish of the day. The crab cake came with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and we both thought we would get it again. My fish of the day was about a 5 oz filet of branzino (European bass) over small potatoes and tomato sauce with some spinach and cherry tomatoes. This was a good change from how I usually cook fish. For dessert we had the berry cake/berry sauce and a flourless chocolate torte with grand marnier and orange zest. Both were excellent and would get them again. To top it all off, they gave us complimentary sparkling wine for our anniversary. We will go back again soon!

We went for dinner, had the fries and shrimp cocktail for appetizer, wine and cider to drink. Elaine was a very friendly and helpful waitress. The drizzle on the fries was great, the deep fried banana peppers were absolutely delicious, the fries were ok, but I'm unfairly comparing the fries to Cafe Zinc's fries next door, which are addictively delicious. Shrimp cocktail was tasty, but the shrimp were not jumbo, which is what everyone assumes (incorrectly) that they will get when ordering shrimp cocktail. The drinks came from bottles and cans and were as good as hoped for. For the main course, we both had the pork chops, which were cooked as close to perfection as you can get, the glaze was delicious, the brussel sprouts were exquisitely seasoned and did not taste like burnt balsamic like most places serve. The potatoes were cooked very well and were consistent, but didn't offer pizzazz. That being said, they were a nice contrast to all of the flavors in the pork chop and seasoning in the brussel sprouts. ONe eighteen does generously provide complementary bread. The multiple flavors of the bread are not adventurous and happily not filling. The butter accompaniment is good, but for soft breads, a whipped butter is a better match. We shared a chocolate ganache tart for dessert. The ganache was done well, the crust was cooked just enough to be completely done, and two small unnecessary flavorless domes of whipped cream decorated the top. This was a delicious meal in a fantastic atmosphere (think mid-modern 1960's lodge bar/dining room) great service, and nice choices for a special night out.

Great service, good food and enjoyed the atmosphere. The wedge salad was very yummy, the brussel sprouts were very good, the shrimp/lobster roll was different. I was expecting a buttery goodness of flavors and warm but it more like a salad with Mayo base and celery and served cold. We will gladly come back again to try more items.
