My husband and I prolonged writing this review ONLY because it would mark the end of our memorable partnership with the fabulous crew at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills. We got married at The Barns on April 15, 2017 and can without a doubt, confidently say that booking The Barns at Wesleyan Hills was the best experience we have gone through. We planned and executed our wedding in 8 months, all with the help of so many knowledgable, hardworking, and honest staff members. For starters, planning this wedding was stress free, AND enjoyable. The staff treated us like family, and we felt nothing but respect and honesty. At our menu tasting, we crossed paths with the owner of the CT Wedding Group, Tom, who provided us much comfort in knowing that he would do all that he could to ensure us a fabulous experience. Every little detail you can think of, The Barns has already thought of. Anything you think could go wrong on your big day, The Barns has already put in place a plan B and C. We felt much comfort in knowing that they were willing to do everything in their power to make such an important time in our lives a success. Before our wedding, we had heard nothing but exceptional reviews from friends and family who have attended or even heard of people who attended a wedding at The Barns. My husband and I had been to countless weddings where the food was just warm, had little flavor, or you were waiting until 9pm for the entrees out. At our wedding the timing of cocktail hour, first course, and entrees and perfect. Meals were hot and our guests raved about flavor. Executive Chef, Steve, made it a point to create entrees for our family that had extreme dietary restrictions. The entire night felt natural and effortless. Our wonderful coordinators, Jessica and Samantha, let us know when and where anything would take place, they checked in countless times assuring we had everything we needed and they were always one step ahead. The decor and atmosphere at The Barns is truly one of a kind. We brought in own decor pieces however The Barns provided us with many different options and items to use. It brought our design full circle. I received two compliments from two separate guests that I would never even think of while attending a wedding. They said how wonderful, friendly, and relaxed the wait staff was at their table. They made sure our guests felt comfortable, asked for anything they needed, and were thoroughly enjoying themselves. I have to give a HUGE shoutout to the director of wedding planning, Mary-Beth. She was available to us with an ideas and answers to any questions, and a solution to any problem. We became good friends with her as she guided us through this process. She truly is the best at her job. I know for a fact that she will go above and beyond your expectations to make sure you have THE best wedding you could dream of. From every coordinator, to bartender, waiter, and receptionist, our experience at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills would not have been as memorable had we picked another venue. We became friends with them, we enjoyed celebrating our evening with them, and we never felt unsatisfied. We truly are going to miss working with The Barns and all of their staff. I would hands down recommend booking your wedding at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills because you aren't just booking a venue. You are choosing a company and the people who you will trust to plan one of the most memorable times of your life. We trusted and LOVED our decision.

Outstanding, beautiful and professional are just some of the words my husband and I would use to describe our wedding day experience with the Barns at Wesleyan Hills. We said our I Do’s on April 30, 2016 and it was truly the best day of our lives. Not only because it was our wedding day, but because the staff pleasure to work with and the venue is absolutely stunning. From informative follow-up emails, to delicious tastings and being able to work with a day-of coordinator, our wedding planning with the CT Wedding Group was a delight. We were able to discuss all our wedding details with our day-of coordinator before the big day and ask as many questions (big or small) as we could! And trust me, there were lots of questions, all of which were quickly and helpfully answered. When the big day came, it truly went off without a hitch and was absolute perfection. The decorations we provided/selected were beautifully displayed and seeing how wonderful it all came together was very exciting and emotional. Our guests also could not stop raving about the delicious food and helpful staff. All in all, there are not enough words to describe how grateful we are to the CT Wedding Group for hosting our wedding and doing an incredible job! Everyone was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. And after working with them for over two years (we booked very early), it felt like we were sharing our special day with all our friends. If you’re looking for a unique, gorgeous wedding venue that will have your guests talking for years (no seriously, you’ll be setting the bar high) then look no further than the CT Wedding Group and the Barns at Wesleyan Hills. It will be the best wedding decision you make!

July 1, 2017 Wedding...A Magical Wedding Day with incredible staff, food & atmosphere! 🎉❤️

(It's impossible to write a short review for this amazing group and venue so bare with me on the length of this!! LOL) We had the most amazing wedding day on May 12, 2017 at The Barns At Wesleyan Hills. The Connecticut Wedding Group absolutely blew us away with all of their incredible talent, visions, ideas, patience, compassion, etc. From the very beginning of this journey, Michelle was incredibly helpful with introducing us to the best venue in CT (bias or not). She brought our vision alive just in the first visit which excited us even more about choosing our location. Mary Beth and Samantha were also very helpful with answering our many emails of questions and always responded quickly. There was never a question or concern that no one could help with. Even when I thought things would be impossible, TCWG proved that there is literally nothing they can't do! For example, our seating chart which we received the day before the wedding was a complete disaster and unreadable. Amanda took the chart and said she'd take care of it. I was blown away the next day when we learned that she took her own personal time and energy to re-create it her own way but so it would look the same. My husband and I were in awe when we saw what she accomplished. We are so grateful for Amanda's help and selfless efforts. Finally, Jenna and Cate... our day could not have been possible without these two! Seeing everything come together the day of, took our breath away as well as all of our guests. The vision they pulled together was way bigger and better than anything I ever imagined. Their help and compassion helped ground me when my nerves were getting the best of me. And they both made sure my husband and I (as well as the bridal party and families) were all set and had everything we needed. All of our guest still rave about the venue and all of the amazing details even to this day. TCWG is a group of angels. My husband and I simply could not have done this on our own without them. I'm happy to call these amazing ladies our friends and I recommend TCWG & Barns At Wesleyan Hills to anyone who is getting married!!

We just had our wedding here this past Friday evening, and it was AMAZING!!! Everything was perfect! Laura kept the party moving but never made it or us feel rushed. The food was phenomenal and there was a ton of it! All of the staff was super attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure my husband and I (along with our bridal party) got to enjoy the food, from the hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour (which was brought to us during photos), to our dinner, and even dessert. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect setting for our special day! I would highly recommend this venue, and The CT Wedding Group to anyone planning a wedding or special event. You will NOT be disappointed!

I can't say enough good things about my wedding this past May at The Barns. I was blown away by the incredible staff and service. From the second I booked, I didn't have any doubt I was in good hands. The staff answered e-mails SO quick -- with an average response time of 30 mins, often on weekends, nights, etc. I quickly learned that trying to juggle a full-time job and planning a wedding was tricky and most of it would have to be done nights/weekends. Getting fast answers was a huge relief and despite probably 100s of questions I had -- the staff always answered with pleasure. When you book, they put you on a monthly e-mail "track" -- sending you a few tasks each month. I found this incredibly helpful and I never once felt overwhelmed/stressed with planning. They also have recommended vendors--many of which I used--who knew The Barns layout and staff quite well, making things even smoother! Closer to the wedding they introduced me to Jess H., my wedding coordinator. She was FABULOUS. She had lots of great advice, gave me her cell phone number the week before the wedding in case I had any last minute questions and put my nervous dad at ease. I had a lot of personal touches -- signs, lawn games, vintage items -- and she totally got my vision and ran with it. As for the wedding -- it wasn't exactly what I imagined...it was WAY BETTER. The barn looked stunning, the food was excellent (WE EVEN GOT TO EAT) and guests all raved about how perfect everything was. Highly, highly recommend this venue to anyone considering it -- I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I had my wedding at the Barns on November 9th and it was a rustic fall fairytale. Everything was amazing AND Laura was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, organized and on point with everything we discussed regarding décor and set up. As a nervous bride, all my fears were washed away when I saw how beautiful the ceremony looked outside and no detail left un-turned for cocktail hour and the reception. The atmosphere was magical and the food... exquisite. The staff was friendly and the day couldn't have gone any smoother. I’m from Long Island and was dead set on wanting a venue with a rustic feel, but couldn’t find anything local to fit our needs. Thanks to the internet and websites like the knot and weddingwire, we came across the Barns. I fell in love with it from the pictures alone but didn’t want to get my hopes up - we didn’t know if they would have dates available or that we’d even be able to afford it. Leading up to our first visit, we communicated with Jessica whom was more then helpful answering any logistical questions we had. When we did finally make the trip up to check it out I knew I was in trouble..I fell in love immediately (as did my now husband) and we ended up booking on the spot. Wedding planning from another state is not normally easy, but with the help of Samantha and Mary-Beth it was definitely a breeze. They were so helpful and responsive to any and all emails I sent no matter the time of day - it truly took a load off my shoulders and made things less stressful. Ashley was wonderful when it came to any financial questions we had and kept us on schedule with our payments. We had Jenna and Cate as day of coordinators, and they were beyond amazing and brought all our dreams and visions for the wedding to life. They were beyond attentive and accommodating. The food was incredible, and our guests cannot stop talking about it as well as the decor. Possibly more importantly, our guests were blown away by the incredible service from the staff - we had a decent amount with dietary restrictions or allergies and they said the staff was constantly checking in with them and making sure they had everything they needed all night. I cannot say enough good things about the people associated with The Barns and the Barns itself, but they gave us and our families the perfect day on 4/8/18 to always remember. We had no prior ties with anything in CT and no one understood why we picked there for a wedding, but after seeing it all come together they understood and we can only hope to come back to it one day! Thank you all for everything!

There are not enough words in the English language to express my gratitude to this team of wedding geniuses. The moment I set foot in the barn, I knew I would get married there. It is the most beautiful location I can imagine! Top that off with the best team in the business, and you'll have your dream wedding! From the first meeting with Michelle to the last hug with our incredible wedding coordinator, Allie, at the end of our reception, not ONE SINGLE THING was left to chance. Allie and Cate had every single moment planned, every single detail covered. Three days before my wedding I mentioned that I was worried about my flowers- so Allie called the florist to ensure they'd be perfect, something that I never would have done myself. Allie tackles concerns and problems head first, she is an amazing ally to have on that crazy wedding weekend! Because of her, I felt so confident going into my wedding day. The process was truly stress free and I never imagined that could be possible. It even rained on my wedding day, and I started out feeling a bit heartbroken- until Allie called. She told me how beautiful the inside ceremony would be, and her plan for incorporating all of our outdoor elements indoors. She was absolutely right, the indoor ceremony was so perfect, and I actually ended up happier than I believe I would have been had it not rained. You simply cannot go wrong here. The food is AMAZING. I am a chef, and therefore I had what I thought were unrealistically high expectations for the food at my wedding. The Barns surpassed any expectation I've had for catered event food. In fact, the food was better than that of any restaurant I have ever been to in CT, or of any high end caterer I have ever tried. I honestly wish I could just go there for dinner from time to time! Every single penny spent on this venue was worth it. They are the reason our dream wedding became a reality, and we could not be more grateful to Allie, Cate, Michelle and the entire team.

We had our first meeting with Mary-Beth this past week and she is amazing. My daughter is getting married in August and lives in a different state, many miles away. I was worried about pulling everything together and after meeting with Mary-Beth feel so much better. She literally answered all of our questions before we had a chance to ask. Is very accommodating with request and answers e-mails at all hours of the night! It has been a truly amazing experience and we can't wait for August! Thanks Again Mary-Beth!
