Imperial Garden Chinese Restaurant

I haven't been here in years, because I live in Florida. It's even better than I remember. We got an appetizer platter and everything was excellent. My guest and I got the Peking Duck three course dinner for two (Order a day ahead) and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. First course: Duck skin with pancakes, very traditional dish. Excellent! Second course: Duck soup. Great flavor. Third course: Duck stir fry. I was so full I barely touched it but it was fantastic and a huge amount. My wife really liked the sweet and sour chicken. The service was also very good. Our waitress "Autumn" was very attentive and sweet. I highly recommend it.

Went with a group of friends from work. We were seated in this cute side room. The restaurant is really nicely designed, clean, the drinks were delicious and the food was great. I got sweet and sour shrimp and crab rangoons. The portions were generous and the service was awesome. The server let us know when we got there that they were understaffed that night but she'd try her best, and she was on top of it. She was an excellent server and the manager even came and checked in on us.

The host was great and very friendly. No kids menus. Our server was not very friendly, forgot to get our drinks, didn't seem to check on us like she did the tables around us. Not terribly kid friendly here and food was okay. Got the appetizer player. The BBQ meat was tough and cold and not flavorful, egg rolls were good, crispy, shrimp Rangoon was good but very hard exterior, spicy mustard was insanely spicy and not in a good way. Would maybe go back without kids but not anytime soon

This place has been a well-known & firmly established long-time fixture in Middleton; known for excellent food for decades. We were there fairly early for dinner because we had.a show at 7PM, so we appreciated the fast efficient service by a gracious server.. Food is excellent, reasonably priced ($12.95 to $18 for most selections) from a huge menu that was easy to follow. Seafood, pork, chicken, beef, & all vegetables sections; and descriptions included "Spicy hot" warnings for the more cautious diner. I think the portions are too large, but that's just us. This place does get very busy later in eve, but there is a large comfortable waiting area in lobby with good art, decor ,& large bar. Note: mixed drinks are booze heavy (more rum than juice in rum punch!). Highly recommend. Many Madison restaurant awards displayed.
