Pinecrest Bakery was highly recommended by the nursing staff at Kendall Baptist. We got a few pastries with cafe con leche. Staff is very friendly all the food is very delicious. If you are in the Kendall area don’t miss this gem that is open 24 hours.

First timer and not that impressed Seeing lots of reviews about this place and I want to try it myself. It was around 10.30 am , January 3rd, 2022 Little busy but not to crowded. Waited on line about 10 minutes, not too bad Trying different items for being first timer House ham croquettes were ok. I had better ones. House spinach croquettes were disappointing, barely see spinach Cheese tequeño acceptable Meat pastelitos nothing special Meat empanadas just okay Planning to come back and try different items next time to see what are people are raving about it !

The most unprofessional location I’ve been to. Walked in for the restaurant and they told me to take a seat where ever I wanted and they would attend us, table was dirty & I ended up having to clean it. 20 minutes went by and no one came to ask if we even wanted anything to drink. Got up and politely asked if anyone was going to attend us and they told us we had to get up and order our restaurant food at the counter after clearly telling us they would attend us. Could’ve told us from the start and not wasted my time.

The empanadas and pastelitos were dry and over priced. They tasted like they had been sitting in the display case for hours! We had a to-go order and discovered an item was missing. We called immediately and the woman was rude and told us to call back in the morning to speak to the manager. What an inconvenience, as we were traveling. The bathroom was dirty with no toilet paper. The only good thing is that it is open 24 hours, but so are the casinos! (the food is delicious at all the casinos in Miami!)

This use to be one of my favorite spots, but for whatever reason the lack of competency by employees during the midnight shift has really killed it for me. I have had 20 minute wait times while being the only one in the store. This has even happened for small quick items like coffee and croquetas. When I ask for a chicken croquetta I get ham, and when i ask for ham i get chicken. When i order a croissants sandwhich i literally get no croissant with it. If i give the cashier a $5 bill on a $3 check, she does not know how much change to give back to me, even when i told her ($2 by the way).If i ask for no sugar, they still load it up with sugar. It's so obvious theyre barley paying attention to the customers when theyre in the store. I understand there is probably late night side work that needs to get done...but 20 minute wait times for a cafe, empanada, and croquetta at 2am as the only person in the store is pretty ridiculous. i don't enjoy complaining, but it is without failure that any time i walk inside this pinecrest bakery past 9pm, i know i'm going to wait 20 minutes for one item just to be prepared incorrectly and in poor quality. I walk in with the "just one more chance" mentality. Food is below mediocre and the service is pretty atrocious. i also don't think upper management really cares. Other locations are significantly better. The girls in the early morning/mid afternoon are great though, and the quality in service during the day is definitely felt... It's a different store entirely.

We had a few different issues when we went. First, we were charged for 10 cheese pastelitos because the lady said there were some in the back. After, she came back and said they actually didn't have anymore. We asked for a refund and she said she couldn't do that. Then, she gave us the option to choose a different option. We asked for pan de bonos and she said they were more expensive and couldn't do that. We also ordered ham cachitos only to get home and find out they were chorizo cachitos and badly burned. She also almost sent us away without the tequenos we ordered. Overall, bad first experience here. Would not recommend going on a Sunday.

The typical Pinecrest Bakery at its best!! I’ve been to the one in Key Largo, Homestead and a few others in Miami. Every single one is disfunctional and unprofessional. The women employees are all lazy, angry at the world, unethical and rude. Especially the one in Key Largo. Tonight I drove to Baptist Hospital to see a family member and decided to get her café con leche, croquetas and a few pastelito at Pinecrest Bakery on 88th an 97 Ave. (Kendall area). It was at 10:00 pm and the young lady who served me did not care if the items were cold or hot. When I opened the bag inside the.car, the croquetas were cold and stale, the pastelito tasted the same. There wasn’t any crackers with the croquetas and no sugar in the coffee. Still, they want a “tip”. I guess she was focused on her friends sitting on one of the tables playing some sort of game instead of her job responsibilities. At least heat up the food so the customer is happy, right?! This place is a “flop” and not a professional bakery, just like their other chains. I don’t recommend this place nor will I be returning. The public is better off going to the Seven eleven accross the street.
