Delicious Colombian food with authentic flavors and generous portions. There's a complete liquor bar that can make just about any cocktail that you want.

Rancho Mateo is one of those places where you feel that everything is authentic, it's a time and space portal to Colombia. Let's start with the service: they have many servers around ready to help you, they are always attentive to any needs that you could have. Bring your reading glasses to read the menu, but you will find great dishes and the taste is amazing! Be aware that the dish are bigggg so bring your stomach empty. I tried the picada, the guacamole con chicharrón, and caldo de costilla. It seems that they have many events happening.

Very good food. Very tasty traditional Colombian cuisine. It has a nice ambiente, feel a little like a cattle ranch.

Restaurant is very nice and clean inside. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a stage for live music and a really nice bar. Food portions were pretty big leaving us a lot of food to take for leftovers. Our waiter was very helpful in helping us decide what to eat. Overall a good experience

I’m letting you know right now, do not go to El Toro Churrascaría in Tamiami. We wanted to try something different for our 5 year anniversary, maybe get something small but we waited over 15 mins and no one even passed by to give us water. We just got side eyes. We even called out to one and they tapped someone else, who only took a few steps towards us before turning back around. How nice… Meanwhile… at Rancho Mateo, they are open till late, the food and drinks are fire. The vibe is much more lively too with Latino music. The minute we sat down, our server attended us almost immediately. We got our water, drinks and sauces about 5 minutes later. Then our appetizers 10 minutes later, we ordered the empanadas as the appetizer, 5 pieces were chicken and the other 5 pieces were meat. Thehe main course 15 minutes after. We ended up getting churrascos because our mood got so lit. Our server even took the time to explain the types of churrasco, which they cook in three different ways; Argentinian, Colombian and Cuban. Cuban has no fat so we ordered that well done and medium with rice and beans. Both were so delicious. We sadly can’t remember our server’s name, can’t recall him wearing a name tag but his excellent service earned himself a good tip. Hope to see him again next time we go! Highly recommend this place! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Feliz Cumpleanos! We celebrated with our Miami family like there's no tomorrow at Rancho Mateo! What a fantastic place to celebrate a birthday! They had a live band singing Cumpleanos Feliz multiple times for all the birthday people. Everyone in the place sang in their loudest voices, including yours truly! It was so much fun, so loud, so crazy and I loved it!! Adriana, our birthday girl, was having a blast! Columbian food is their specialty. We ordered several Carne a la Llaneras and they arrived in a huge stack on a big platter for everyone at our table! They were delicious and seasoned perfectly. They came with roasted potatoes, onions and everyone dug in. Soon we needed a second platter! Our lovely birthday girl was given a very special birthday drink that was in the largest cocktail glass I've ever seen! She loved it. Then a pitcher of beer arrived and we all tried it. The most delicious I have ever tasted! It's called Refajo....aguila beer and Colombiana champagne soda. Wow! I was glad that I was not driving that night. The singers came along and we clapped and sang Feliz Cumpleanos!! We had a great time! Our server was Javier and he was outstanding! We were never ignored. He made sure we had water, drinks, and were happy. We sure were happy!! We had the best time!! I felt rejuvenated when it was time to leave. The place was packed. I heard that if you don't arrive before 7:00pm on a Saturday, there will be no tables left. When we left, there was a long line of people waiting for a table. They have outdoor dining as well as indoor. There is a large parking lot there. Put this wonderful restaurant on your list asap. You won't regret it.
