The Vizcaya Estate is a unique experience in modern Miami. Between its incredible architecture, beautiful artwork, and expansive garden, Vizcaya feels like a piece of Europe was dropped off a century ago. Hard to recommend this place enough!

The architecture and the gardens are a visual treat, making it an ideal spot for photographers looking to capture beauty and history in one frame. However, I couldn’t help but wish they offered student discounts. As a student, such a thoughtful gesture would have made the experience even more accessible and enjoyable. Despite this, I found the visit incredibly worthwhile. It’s fascinating to see the opulence in which the wealthy lived. Overall, I’d recommend Vizcaya Museum to anyone interested in photography, history, or just a glimpse into the luxurious past. It’s definitely worth a visit.

A must-see place in Miami!! A romantic mansion! Art, antiques, formal gardens, a lot to see. It was drizzling/raining the day we went there, that added to the charm of the place. May have to plan visit for at least 2 to 3 hours. We were blown away by the attention to detail that the men and women poured into this mansion, exquisite upholstered items, draperies, wood , metal work, sculptures, fountains, wired telephone system, rock/stones paved pathways, stairs, gardens etc...the bathroom tubs, toilets, plumbing etc might have seemed futuristic for that era...or was it? It makes one wonder as to how did they accomplish all of this in those days where machinery was not there. A very well maintained museum. The guards are very knowledgeable as well. We downloaded the free Vizcaya app and listened to the audio tour as we toured the mansion.

This was my first visit to Vizcaya and it didn't disappoint. I had a great time with my family and was mesmerized with the amount of history this place holds. The areas were maintained in optimal conditions as well as the gardens. Plenty of parking spaces at no additional cost. I will advise you to go as soon as they open since there are a lot of areas to explore and it could get crowded. Also, it gets very hot and there are not many areas to sit, take plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes for the garden area. Great spots to take pictures, the only places off limits will be the rooms. I went on a weekday, and there were a few quinceaneras taking pictures in the garden area, so please be mindful. To be honest, I would have liked to be able to enter the rooms to see more details, some of them are very narrow and you can't really see from the doorway. There is a small gift shop/cafe hidden in the back area, make sure you visit for cute souvenirs from your visit. During our visit the security guard from the second floor, Hugo, was super nice and told us a lot about the history of the place, very interesting! I wish we had a tour guide like him. That’s one of my suggestions to have Spanish/English speaking guides since a lot of tourists visit the place. My parents only speak Spanish, and it was very nice of him to give them an overview.

Very exiquisite and photogenic place to visit, for those who like taking pictures as well as those who like history and 20th century architecture. The interior of the house was upkept very well, with all the statues, furnishings, ceilings and walls well maintained and still reflecting the remnants of Spanish architecture. The garden and dock were beautiful, with wide stretching ocean views and elaborate fountains. We spotted wildlife as well on the mangroves and statues in and around the garden.

Beautiful gardens and house with an interesting history! The museum guides were very knowledgeable on our tour and the grounds were maintained beautifully. The coffee from the small cafe was good too. This is a must see! The only downside was the limited parking!

Vizcaya is amazing to do on any good weather Sunday … start at the Vizcaya Village with the Farmer’s Market (free to park and stroll around many appealing vendors), then you can do the yoga class outdoors at 9:30 am (pre-registration only for $5), and wrap up with the tasty food sold at the market till 1-2pm. We even ventured across the street to the Vizcaya Museum for a tour and enjoyed the gardens and breathtaking view of Biscayne Bay tremendously. We will be back since we signed up to be Members, and I highly recommend this Mansion / Museum to anyone (locals and - even more so - tourists).

I remember the first time visiting Viscaya few years back I was so impressed by the majestic architecture and magical gardens. To this day, it feels just as gorgeous and breathtaking! 🤩 We chose to see the beautiful gardens first and then the stunning estate. The property covers 43-acres and was built 1914–23, there’s a lot to see here. 😍 Take the tour to the historical museum and feel the elegance of the place. Allow yourself 3 hours to explore the museum and gardens. You can buy tickets online, or if you’re getting specific discounted tickets you can buy at the admission window. U.S. military and veterans FREE admission with valid ID! If you want to avoid crowds, I recommend you visit on a weekday. So the same applies to parking, you may have to park on the parking lot across the street if you choose to visit on a weekend. We wanted to have an intimate daytime garden wedding ceremony on the beautiful grounds. Unfortunately, they do not allow chairs, wedding canopies or runners for the daytime garden ceremony. For that reason I can only give them a 4-star rating. 😞 This is a must see landmark for an adventure of a lifetime when you are in Miami! 😃

The museum is gorgeous. If you are in Miami you must go here. The price is $50 card only, we went on Friday at 1 pm it was not crowded. You can buy your ticket online or there. There is a cafeteria in the museum. it is a very recurrent place for photo shoots and it is bc every corner is beautiful! I recommend to start with the gardens are huge and then with the house, I finished all museum in 3 hours. The house yells: my owner was multi millionaire!
