Review Taqueria El Carnal 3 - Miami

My friend has been trying to get me here for a while and he finally made it happen. We went on a late night run after some drinks and it didn't miss. Chips and guac were very fresh. I had the shrimp tacos which were good. Service was friendly and the late night atmosphere is what you would want if you're looking to keep the vibes going.

If you're in the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine, Tacos El Carnal is the perfect destination. This charming restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a night out with friends or a family dinner. The menu is packed with delicious Mexican dishes, from tacos and enchiladas to fajitas and burritos. But what really sets Tacos El Carnal apart is the attention to detail and authenticity in every dish. The ingredients are always fresh and expertly prepared, resulting in bold and flavorful dishes that are sure to satisfy. But the food is just one part of the experience at Tacos El Carnal. The restaurant is filled with colorful decor that creates a festive and lively atmosphere. And on Sundays, they have an authentic Mexican band playing music, adding to the already vibrant ambiance and making it the perfect destination for a fun-filled weekend outing. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. And with a wide selection of tequila and other Mexican drinks to choose from, you're sure to find the perfect pairing for your meal. Overall, I highly recommend Tacos El Carnal for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican dining experience. From the mouthwatering food to the lively atmosphere, it's the perfect destination for anyone who loves good food and a good time. So come on down, grab some tacos and enjoy the lively atmosphere while listening to the authentic Mexican music!

great food but the 3 taco deal they serve very little meat on super tiny tortillas, you feel like you didn’t even eat. But the seasoning is delicious and good salsas. My suggestion put more meat in the tacos or do double tortillas on each taco at least.

Tacos El Carnal is amazingly delicious and has a great atmosphere. Sundays is Mariachi and live music to enjoy while having the best Mexican food in Miami. Love this place and I totally recommend it.

It's perhaps my second or third time in this festive restaurant and I'm impressed every time by the service, the staff's courtesy and best of all, the food! The colours and flavours of México never disappoint when it comes to the options and selections. Alex really knows how to take care of customers and is attentive to detail.

One of the most authentic Mexican food in Miami, the location is not ideal but it worth it. The waitresses are welcoming and the food is high quality.

Went the other day with my girl and it's amazing, the flavor on the food is great, the service was good and always attended to our table, cheaper than I thought it was. Highly recommended.

Very good tacos, but very small portions. I had 2 tacos and left hungry. Very nice ambience, but typical Miami rude service. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again as believe it or not, there are restaurants with bigger better tacos and very nice wait staff! Rudeness is overrated.

Love that this restaurant expanded. Have been a patron of this restaurant for over 13 years, been to all locations. Even though I moved out of state, whenever I am in Miami and in the mood for Mexican, I take the drive over. Some of our family favorites include : the pico mexicano picante, beans, tacos (all flavors), nachos, soups, any dinner entree really is delicious. The guacamole is creamy not chunky anymore. live music 🎶 on Fridays & Saturdays from about 8pm to midnight. Service has gotten better as there is more staff now. Not Tex-Mex, this is an authentic Mexican cuisine establishment.

I review a lot of Mexican spots because it reminds me of home. I'm cuban but I grew up surrounded by Mexicans in LA. This spot is the most legit taco shop around. Flavors are the way they should be. If you want real deal Mexican food this is the place. They also carry a upbeat party atmosphere. Cool spot to go to hang out and they have great Mexican drinks as well. Don't come here. Looking for five star dining, this is a great entertaining, delicious spot for any late night occasion, and I go there constantly for dinner when don't feel like cooking. Good job!

The food was very good. I ordered a variety of different Tacos to try out. I will speak on them as I felt they tasted. The tacos al pastor or my favorite by far, they were amazingly flavored and that sweet little bit of Pineapple made all the difference in this flavor. Next I'll speak on the carne asada tacos, they were not too bad but they were also not amazing. They seemed to be a little bit dry as far as the meat goes when I expected more of a juicy flavored meat. I also tried the fish taco and it was very good, they included a sliced avocado which made the creamy flavor that you're used to expecting from a fish taco pop all that much more. The chorizo tacos were also very good, I have had chorizo tacos and other restaurants and they are always extra greasy. The chorizo tacos here were very well cooked not overly greasy and had a nice spicy flavor. The chicken taco was very good as well and not a bad alternative for people that don't eat red meat. The last and final Taco was outside of what I would normally order, so I personally did not like it just because of the way that the texture was. The chicharron Taco is the one that I am referring to. And for the last two items of my review the horchata was amazing, it was very well made and didn't taste overly powdered like some other restaurants serve it. The guacamole style salsa that they gave me was delicious. The only downside of this restaurant is the fact that they are a cash-only establishment and they have very limited parking. Many people don't carry cash in this day and age, they do offer an ATM machine with a $2 fee, I would recommend you stop by your bank to avoid the $2 fee plus whatever fee your bank would normally charge. And if you have any questions regarding the cash app accepted sign that I took a picture of, that is if you wish to tip the server with cash app they would accept it. The cash up is not accepted as payment at this restaurant.

The always busy and somewhat famous "Taqueria El Carnal" Mexican / taco restaurant on Calle Ocho (sometimes called "Carnal 2"), has closed. If you want your fix for the authentic but reasonably priced tacos and Mexican foods that location on 8th street used to offer, you need to come here to their "Carnal 3" location on Flagler. Fundamentally, this place isn't much different in some ways to their now closed location on 8th street. The menu is exactly the same (in fact, the menu still shows their old address), many of the staff are the same, and their food truck is parked in the lot in back, just like at their old place. They also still offer the 3 squeeze bottles of sauce for the table, etc. What has changed is that this restaurant serves inside at their indoor tables only. As of this visit, there is no outdoor seating or tables along the sidewalk as was the case at their 8th street location. This place isn't huge inside, but there are a number of tables and chairs along with stools at the bar along the back for seating. They also have a small stage in the corner and on the night we were here, they had a DJ spinning and also offered karaoke. Pricing is still reasonable - We had an order of guacamole and chips, 2 sopes, 3 beef tacos, a michelada, a Modelo and a Jarritos soda. Total for everything came to just a little more than $35 before gratuity. Note that, as was the case with their "Carnal 2" location, this place accepts cash only, though there is an ATM on site (it's actually sitting up on the stage next to the DJ). While the food here is still tasty and authentic, and the food alone (along with their very late night hours of operation - open until 5 a.m. some nights) is enough to cause me to return here, there are a few critical points: On the night we were here, they had all the overhead fluorescent lights on at full. It was nearly 2 a.m. when we arrived and it was REALLY bright inside. Also, they had a DJ spinning and had karaoke. The music was so loud and screechy that we had to yell across the table to each other in order to talk as we ate, and at one point a woman who was seated up toward the small stage stood up, covered her ears while shaking her head and she moved back to the bar area. Turn the music down to an acceptable level and kill some of the bright overhead lights and this place would be so much better than it already is IMO.

Great dinner spot, and they are open late, food is hot, and full of flavor. We have been here several times and it never disappoints. The staff is more than attentive.
